Proximity Chat shenanigans in Ark Survival was my favorite thing to do on public servers. I made a character named "Ben Swolo Kenobi" and walked around sneaking into peoples bases painting them pink and talking in the highest pitch anime girl voice I could manage.

we've provided the current roadmap up to S3 and beyond.
the next roadmap will come out before S3 drops and will share (at least) a couple of seasons ahead.

the game is in live development while we're playing it, so making definitive dates (or ballpark estimates) never works out as things could change in a couple months.

the two-edged sword of setting a roadmap far ahead is you can't predict what will happen that may cause a feature or expansion to not come through on that timeline. and the disappointment (and Reddit rage) will always follow a delay. on the other hand, being as transparent as possible, while reinforcing the potential for things to shift, sometimes (often) is noted as "vague/nothing info".

In my eyes, they can take one of two options:

1: Expand San Van itself (adding new spots, making the map bigger) and just don't mention it

• This is my personal pick, I think disconnecting the maps and having them be separated (can't be seamlessly traversed without a method of quicker travel or connection point) would be a mistake

2: Add new maps via the bridges that you travel to via fast travels or a map change

• This is an easier solution, it allows them to keep in-universe logic while adding new spots to hit
• Downside is that you'd have to traverse the bridge (which could take a while) or use a fast travel point which breaks the seamless immersion of the map

Do a single flatground trick (no grabs, grinds, manuals, longer sequences, etc.)
Then the next person has to copy the trick

The problem is that the fact you can only do one flatground trick means you're locked out of cooler, more interesting sequences

My conceptualization as a game designer myself was a radial wheel system, where you selected the tricks/sequence you'd want to do beforehand, and then you'd have to perform it

Not only does this add the ability for the setter to fail setting the trick, but it means more interesting lines can appear

I'd imagine the improper resetting of Grind Assist on boot or after a challenge lead to the issue of the Grind Assist not functioning properly even when changing the setting

Hey! I’ve run into a really strange bug and I can’t connect to the game anymore.

After interacting with a placement object, my skater’s body went half-invisible. When I respawned at a marker, I turned completely invisible. I tried using a fast-travel marker to fix it, but I spawned inside a blue/gray box. After restarting the game, it now gets stuck on “Preparing…” every time I try to load in.

My theory is that the game doesn’t know where to spawn my skater, but I’m not sure.

Any idea how to fix this? Thanks!

It seems that last week they discovered it's more widespread than they had thought, since they stopped fixing bugged characters and instead told us to wait for the coming patch on Monday. so hopefully we will all be able to play next week, post-patch. Here's the bug thread . And from upcoming patchnotes "Fixed an issue where you could get a black screen after finishing a Challenge or returning to a session marker, then when teleported by a friend, you would end up under the map." ideally this will fix all 'out of world' loading issues

So to me, the only logical thing I can think of is a on and off toggle for wear and tear, or just wear and tear that accumulates as you play, and then resets every time you boot back into the game.
