This spec is way better than mine so I'm surprised you're crashing that much. I did get a lot of crashes at the start of season 1 but I'm pretty sure they fixed something because I have not crashed once on my gaming laptop. I think if you didnt get the premium pass you may be able to get every free item in the pass if you do most dailies and weeklies etc. Not entirely sure tho.

some items in the skate.Pass are available to all, while some tiers are Premium only, meaning you have to purchase the skate.Pass to access them.

Premium skate.Pass does extended into the next Season, so you'll be able to continue unlocking stuff in S1 during S2 if you have skate.Pass Premium.

I believe it works like this:

If you aren’t able to get the items you want during season 1, because you didn’t earn enough tix, you can still get those items during S2 (if you have premium)

If you don’t want to get more items from season 1, but have tix left, they will move to S2, but a percentage will be lost (we don’t know yet what this percentage is)

If you don’t have premium, or you have items in S1 pass you want and have tix, it is likely a good idea to do so before the season ends (because you will lose tix otherwise, see point 2)

a lot of variants and you'll never miss a airwalk/tailwalk/dogpis/benihana after that, used to cringe every time hit a christ/nofoo air

no, it's not. you can get to 11k rip score by opening the DIY boxes. the items give you rip score, the titles do not. mathematically, you can get well over 11k rip chips score by just opening the diy boxes on top of getting all the free cosmetics

the cosmetic boxes are not the only way to obtain rip score. items from the skate.pass and rewards from things like the halloween event (which is not currently active) also give rip score. i can imagine that the 7-ply cosmetics when unlocked will also give the player rip score

I think a big issue also is they can't figure out their target audience. It's already very difficult to make a "it's for everyone!" game, add the fact it's a niche sport and they're basically shooting themselves in the foot.

Extreme example, but it's like making a fishing game with realistic fishing physics but then....adding cartoon graphics, with over the top cosmetics and challenges, slang no fishermen use and an AI robot to keep you company, "time to get nautical and activate those FishEyes"

There is nothing stated about brickswitch on the roadmap, but we do know that that it will be TEASED in season 2. People speculate that the chum bucket (huge stadium / arena) will be for the mega ramps / competitive skate courses (X games, SLS, Olympic style courses etc).

I personally too believe this to be the case, as they have stated on the roadmap that leaderboards & new game modes are coming to season 3, which supports the current speculation on what brickswitch will be.

A lot of the series identity got toned down, and that’s why people feel disconnected. Even if its less niche now, neither longtime fans nor casuals are really being hooked yet. And yeah, Skate 2s vibe is unbeatable. Realistic character designs and more gamemodes would make a lot of people happy lol

Because both sticks are being taken up for board control, you have to use the TRIGGERS to turn

Nope nothing at all. The collect button is a bug apparently. Its not worth completing. Once you have enough Tix for what you want from the pass, there is no point in doing the season challenges

I have never known a currency that is used to buy things from a battle pass shop to roll over to the next season. It makes no sense to not reset Tix to zero. Rolling them over just means the next season pass will be completed way quicker than it should be. As for Rip Chips they are pointless once you have opened all the boxes

Reading about how they are tuning the economy for the event, but may still lead to a surplus of currency by the end of the event. I don't get how hard it is balance. If they know how many cosmetics they are releasing before the event and that totals 4500 of what ever the currency is, and they know how many tasks there will be. just divide the Total currency needed by the amount of tasks. So if its 15 tasks, the reward for each task is 300 of the currency. That way you will have to do ever challenge to buy every item. If you buy every item it unlocks a few more special items, and the only wy to buy those is if you have logged in daily and been collecting the free currency. It rewards the players who grind every day, and offers an incentive to play daily
