I've been on for about an hour or two now. I'm on a PS5 Slim and outside of one disconnection, performance has been fine. I've been able to load into a lobby without issues. Outside of the more valid complaints (skate culture/aesthetic being very corporate and sanitized, overpriced cosmetics, lack of certain tricks, etc) it's about as enjoyable as it was before the update. Literally re downloading skater xl and session I can’t do this anymore. I paid for the founder pack and wish I could get a refund, the season 1 is a complete letdown, my gf is still soft locked on the first mission and we can’t even play together. If you're having frame issues, limit the frame rate to your monitor refresh rate in your graphics driver settings. The new filter smoothed out the blown out look this game had especially on the edges of the map that used to be so bad I had to turn my monitor brightness down. You have to do co-op challenges with only 1 one of your friends. Party with more than 2 people is what cause the progression bugs with challenges rn. So at 3 or 4 players, you'd likely have to reset at chance you'd get those challenges done. Therefore, wasting time lol.

It is more than clear that the game is free and they charge you for some clothes, you as consumer have the option to pay or not, that is why there are free items that you can claim with the free points you earn by doing challenges, I understand that at the momment there are errors that should not be in the game to run perfect, but i repeat IT IS EARLY ACCESS, just report the errors and that´s it, this way it becomes easier and faster for the developers to solve the problems.

It's silly to assume that a producer's monetary value is shared equally amongst all of it's different dev studios. I get that, but less people will buy boards and stickers from the shop if they will get damaged overtime.
Noone will want to buy a sticker or board just for that thing to look destroyed within a day, and then having a reset button could just be an extra annoyance for some people.

I think what is more likely to happen is that they will have a "Damaged Board" sticker that you can buy - and it will make the board look damaged in the 3 areas stickers can be placed.

I regret buying the founders pack because this update makes me not want to play anymore. I really want to like this game but seeing them double down on the objectively bad decisions like this is so disheartening. I don't even have my favorite song to keep me going because they removed it from the game. The update did so much right. The warmer lighting and soundtrack additions did wonders for the game's tone. I also love the map getting seasonal changes, that's a really cool idea. The monetization and cosmetic descisions are just so god damn predatory its insulting. Pandering (to the lowest common denominator, not skaters) and corporate greed on this level is actually so dissonant with what skating is about that it's way way more frustrating here than it would be in any other game. EA is a real life version of M-Corp, sterilizing the game into freemium sludge and milking its players for as much as they'll pay.

I do like that there are a couple references to The Matrix in this pass. Not sure why exactly, but hey. I like The Matrix.
