The bug for progression is most likely a underlying bug in every quest, that some recent patch ending up messing everything up also it is early access so I expect things to not run well at all

The softlocks aren't character based, its lag based. The servers take a while to register that you finished a mission. What I did to progress was literally just go off and skate around. Eventually the missions will catch up and you'll be be given the next mission. Thats how all of us have progressed past the island and first region lol. People who are permanently "softlocked" just don't have the patience, it can take like 30 min+.

Server issues in major multiplayer releases is so normal its expected, especially from larger companies who, for some reason, never buy the capacity they need cause they lowballed the player counts despite having the fanbases games like Skate. have.

This game needed more time in development. It's like they took the testers as the average playerbase the game would have and went from there. Say what you want about it being Early Access but there's plenty of early access games that arent as broken as this. The game would be better if it had an offline mode but they just want to rip away your purchases when they shut it down

I fixed that by opening the store in my phone after skating around a bit, after trying the actual store itself. I had the same issue with the daak pack. I dunno, it all worked for me eventually just because I waited a bit, and seems to be that way for everyone else who progressed to where I'm at. Just need patience. It does get easier once you unlock the orange missions, since you can just go off and do those while you wait for the main mission to catch up

ive got something similar, Very early on the game you speak to this girl called izzy, on her step 7/7 you have to complete this challenge called "land the ender", it will always automatically select this mission and its the only mission i can do. I need to do a fliptrick and grind in one sequence, but no matter what and where i do it, it never completes (and trust me i have done i thousands of times). If i unselect it, it doesnt matter where i am it automatically selects, it doesnt show me any highlighted area, and i physically cant progress. Very disappointed, im softlocked and i cant change it, was very excited to play a modern skate game but all i can do is freeroam without doing any missions :(

I disagree about the world feeling dead but you do have some valid concerns and I share some of those concerns, particularly being online only and I do wish the higher number of players would have been taken into consideration a little more. Why would I need to do that? I used to be a game tester. Early Access typically wouldn't allow everyone in the general public access. Early Access is typically limited to early backers willing to put up $$ to play the early versions of games.

It is not typically released for download to the full general public to play.

That being said, I'm not complaining. I've been in the playtest for a little bit and have had little to no issues. I think they just went too big too fast here. Shouldve rolled out to each console/PC at a staggered date.

Most people dont understand that Early Access means an unfinished game. They simply see the game in the game store for download and downlaod and want to play.

The repsonse here should be expected with how they rolled it out.

I think what fixes it. go to your Steam Library, right-click the game, select Properties, navigate to the Local Files tab (or Installed Files tab), and then click Verify integrity of game files.
