Clearly the game wasn't ready for public release. Too many game breaking bugs for all the new players. Servers breakin is nothing new for a new release but still, this will chase away a lot of potential players. The insiders are probably considered lucky since we mostly already completed these before the flood. The early access roadmap does look promising so I hope we won't be disappointed as much with the content updates in the future

The actual skateboarding and fluidity of the skating is the best a skateboard game has even been easily, in this case, I can look past the things that still need to be worked on. I seriously wonder how many potential players they have lost with this release. Looking at steam reviews (46%) and all issues posted in here. Us insiders are pretty loyal, but the average gamer is way more critical. Getting rid of your save data does nothing. Your character is saved on the servers and not your console. Many old bugs seem to have returned since the public floodgates were opened

Have you seen the marketing for the early access release? Pretty sure they spend a pretty penny getting The game out there in its current state. The average gamer does not care, they download the game, cannot play or are stuck and go back to their game of choice. When they release V 1.0 nobody cares and most likely GTA 6 will be out. i'm sorry bro it's 100% a server issue issue, yesterday the servers crashed due to over a million people trying to play the game at once across all platforms, even funnier? After the servers came back up I was able to get into a lobby within about 3 minutes tops and didn't crash a singular time, I was only kicked for inactivity once and went and grabbed a snack, came back, and was back in the game with basically zero issues

Are you implying that once people have a negative impression of a game, that they'll permanently stay negative? You obviously don't remember the launches of countless other games, for example Cyberpunk and No Mans Sky, which went from overwhelmingly negative reactions to overwhelmingly positive as more development time passed.

for people wondering how to get next area when no challenges left, play daily challenges - coop ones give more xp, open loot boxes they also give xp, no level up system is supposed to be fast these things take time, hope this helps!!!

Can’t see any section for user feedback - or whether the devs will see this - but I thought it was worth a comment. One thing I’ve noticed that can be super frustrating/counterintuitive/generally buggy is when in a SOLO line mission (while also being part of a party), if a member of that party requests you to join a co-op mission while you’re in your solo mission, the button to decline that request is to press and hold Triangle (on PS5), however, when doing so, your character automatically gets off their board, which then resets you back to the start of the line challenge. Can be super annoying when you’re at the end of a hard line challenge, you decline the invitation, and by doing so you’ve been reset. You can’t even ignore the invitation, because if you do it automatically transports you to the challenge you’ve been invited to and throws you out of your solo line challenge. Keeps happening to me, and it gets super frustrating.

And? What's the point? Like - this game seems to have had a troubled development cycle, that much is obvious. I'm genuinely wondering what the point of this is. This is a game 15 years removed from the prior entry of the series, on a different engine, on a team likely full of different people, made for a different audience, with an EA breathing down their neck which is, let's be honest, batting a much worse average these years. I don't think the amount of time a consumer has to wait is a good indicator of a product's quality, or what level of quality "should" be expected.

Skate 3 comes from an era without day 1 patches, where stuff would be released when it was supposed to, and they didn't have to change engines halfway through, or turn it into an MMO, or whatever.

Not trying to be a skate. fanboy or whatever - but I see this point so often and all I can ever think is 'what does this even mean'

Older hardware and software and still developed 2 games in basically less time, even if they werent live service. I don't think it's better than 3, but I certainly enjoy just skating around more than 3. I like 3's map more, but so far the actual skating in skate. feels a little better? (i haven't played since the public launch, so maybe there's some huge gameplay adjustment I'm not privy to). I like weird tricks, so while I'm sad darkslides aren't in the game (yet), I'm really enjoying the no complys and the faster, more "realistic" wallrides, wallies, slappies, etc. The act of just going from point A to point B is much better in skate. I'm just not crazy about the map - but I don't think it's bad. I just think it has a lot to live up to.

I do really like the community parks, and while a lot of them are hit or miss - I've done my best to check them every day I log on.

By the way I'm loving the game which is why I think it's a little silly for the progression to just stop after a while and you have to wait for new challenges. As someone who has tested the game for years it’s very disappointing that we didn’t get any incentive for this.
