Both sides are kinda missing the point. Calling it “cash grab slop” is premature since it’s not the final product, but saying “it’s free so it can’t be a cash grab” isn’t right either. Monetization isn’t wrong by definition, but if it leans heavy on paid cosmetics and battle passes, it could feel very different from the old skate games. We just don’t know yet how far they’ll take it.
