If you’re a beginner i would recommend getting proper wheels and bearings. Your best bet would be getting a finished complete at a skate shop, those are a great starting point, and usually a lot cheaper than all the parts individually

Do not buy from any sporting good store or anywhere else that is not a skate shop

Then i would shop from a local skate shop online

Maybe research your nearest and see if you can either take a trip or order from them. Nearest local is always best, don’t buy from zumies for example.

Otherwise, it could be a network issue on your side, ports, connectivity throttling from an ISP - there's tons of potential reasons. None of them involve being scammed. (it is a 14 year old game and the Cloud is Beta, so there's also those potential challenges).

When I first started at EA 14 years ago as a phone support rep, some of my first calls were regarding skate. Online issues - half the time it was the online pass/Share Pack Code wasn't active on the account, or the account wasn't linked, permission settings, etc. A good portion of the time, not a HUGE percentage, but there, was the servers were having stability issues. The team actually transitioned the servers ... this year/last year? ... to newer servers. For the first time ever, I got the complete a Team Challenge achievement. Since you're using Cloud, I cna't say "delete your profile from the console and redownload it" which, oddly, resyncs things.

(Choose destination - fast travel or normal traffic journey. The weather that changes in real time with an in-game clock / Day and night / Weather change. That would be very nice ! Ability to go to the beach and swim in the water or pools! Invite NPCs to do activities and players. 😄

my wife got me a DOPE brisket knife/sword, and hand mixer with dough attachments, and an oil filter and some o-rings for my motorcycle.

I got her a 4K front/2K rear dashcam system (LA drivers are crazy) and some joke stuff for her stocking - "Things HR wants to Say but Can't" book - she works in HR for her company, "What's for Dinner?" stainless steel dice because we always have a hard time choosing what we're gonna eat during the week).

But Spadie and Kuma made out like BANDITS.
Tons of new treats, toys, Spadie got 3 types of catnip pressed orbs on a tray she can rub up against, Kuma got a backpack to carry his treats and poop bags when we go to the park, so I don't have to.

It was fun. And we watched Great British Baking Show Christmas/New Year's episodes.

But the fact that it is a mega open WORLD online the Map must be accessible to players, open shops, activities, roles with players skateboarding brings together exactly that in real life! Skateshops exist so there must be some in the game. We must live an enriching experience and full of possibilities that we cannot do before!

If it was a year's difference, then what would be the point of playtesting? To me, it's gotta be a few months difference max. That way they can work on what's next while not having everything already changed in the version the playtesters are going to experience and give feedback on. The dev team would just be working backwards at that point

I mean when it comes to the core features of the game like controls tricks etc i would say you right and its probably just a few months apart.

But i could see it being further apart of what they actually have right now when it comes to the map and stuff like customization (clothes, boards) how the interfaces look and all that stuff wich isn’t necessarily something wich needs to be tested by a wide audience of people.

But also i have no idea on how all that stuff actually works so im just assuming. Either way i know i will be there once Early access drops and its gonna be an amazing experience.

most of the time dev studios have both internal QA and stuff similar to EA playtesting. the internal QA is often used for actual bugfixing, coming up with new ideas, rapid prototyping and testing, whereas stuff like EA playtesting is mostly used to get player’s thoughts and opinions on how the game works.

I doubt dev version is very much farther along then what the public is playing, that wouldn’t make any sense. Yes they probably have a tons of finished assets and stuff that hasn’t been actually put in yet, but strictly game versions, I doubt they’d be much different

But I will say that, having seen the highlights countless times, I’ve not seen any of the testees having different height as they showed in that one video for example

it totally does make sense. you have a stable build that has gone through all the rounds of internal QA testing to make sure it works, game breaking bugs have been fixed, and then you hand that build down to your public playtesters to gain more (unpaid) opinions, feedback on how the game works. if the only QA testing they were doing was the playtests, the game would come out super buggy, there would have to be some level of internal QA testing for a functional product to release

Someone on FB asked if the servers were down and someone replied to them that the best way to fix ‘cannot connect to EA nation’ is to clear system cache. To me that doesn’t make any sense as it’s a connecting to server issue.
Has anyone heard of this cuz I haven’t. Or may it be the new way to connect is all I’m wondering.

Usually we just sign in and out of ea nation or restart game multiple times until it works

On Xbox it actually helped me sometimes to delete the saved game data when i had issues connecting to servers etc.
I would assume that in some cases it could actually help to clear system cache as well but in some cases it can cause problems too.

Had a friend who deleted his cache for a GTA RP Server and wasn’t able to join at all after that. So idk if its worth the try, should rather go with the restart to be safe 😅

On Xbox, try removing your Gamertag from the console, then restart the Xbox. Sign in and re-add your Gamertag, then launch the game. Worked for me when I couldn’t connect to join teams.

No, but since it's an Open World Online game, we need new features that we haven't seen in previous games and that's what was missing. Unfortunately, you don't understand the subject I'm talking about. You're in a world with GTA while my proposals haven't mentioned GTA once! Of course, there is a similarity in the new features I'm proposing but this would allow us to have a new version of the game that's much more attractive. Rather than doing everything from the game's start menu, doing everything in the online world would be great! The start menu will only be to display the map, or quit the game, invite friends, settings, purchase real estate including: Houses / Land / skatepark. That's nothing crazy. Regarding character customization, it will be done in the city's shops. New features like swimming in the water at the beach, swimming pool. A dynamic and changing environment with NPCs, animals. I prefer to buy the game that it's complete rather than see the game half-exploited.

After everyone decides what they want in the game, each proposal is interesting. Because the game develops with the community and that's beautiful !

we could invite friends or players to our apartment and even skate inside! It would be crazy to modify everything, the furniture, the objects, the living room, the kitchen we create absolutely everything! We could throw objects too! Was at a MTB park with some nice drops and some pretty big jumps!
Ended up going over the bars twice on two separate jumps, broke my helmet, and somehow came out with nothing but some bruises down my arms/legs and some road rash on my elbow. (going to remember my elbow pads next time for sure)

soon guys! The hardest part is already done! For example, I'm waiting for Skate. impatiently, but I watch videos of the game skate. with admiration and I enjoy every moment of the video, the tricks, the Map, the scenery in the game, lots of detail and also the clothes. I see that the game is very well done and on PS5 it's going to be crazy! there will be a fluidity of the game it's going to be huge, while on skate 2 in certain places on the map it slows down to death! Skate 3 is stable in terms of gameplay, apart from the player skate parks the game lags a little. The loading times are long. but don't worry the game will be released soon we can all join together on it ! 😁✌️

Can someone please help me with kick flips. I’ve been trying and trying and yes i have board feel i’ve been skating for a few years. I can 180, ollie, pop shuv ect. My kick flips either i flip good and my back foot lands but my front foot doesn’t come back or the other thing that happens is my front foot lands under the board upside down and my back foot is on top. I can swear i’m not flicking down but idk.

The kickflip is not very complicated to do, it's like an ollie but you scrape on the side of your board with your front foot. You must always keep in mind, the landing is done on the screws.
