My first good bass amp was a Peavey TNT 115 with a 10" Black Widow back in 1996. Had a Steinberger headless bass with EMG Selects in it. Sold the bass and got a Fender P-Bass Lyte (JP Edition) shortened body stock with extended neck (30 frets!).

I'm now rocking a Spark amp for my Epiphone Les Paul Traditional IV and a Fender Rumble 100 for my Fender PBass Lyte JP (not my original, but I found one on Reverb a few years ago.)

I was in a cover band (two acoustic guitars and me on bass) that did Beatles, acoustic Chili Peppers, Cake, and some originals (in the style of Cake - the old classic "Wooly Booly" was fun.)

I like rolling basslines, something with a nice groove, accentuated with punchy drums and crisp guitar riffs.

Great! Except the second to last day was super rocky. I had fun but people were getting sea sick all around, and I watched an old guy run to an elevator, lose his balance, and now he can bend his elbow in a new direction!

Yesterday was perfect smooth sailing, (barely could even tell we were moving) to end it heading into port this morning

Yep. I volunteered to help block off the stairs/elevator with some others that witnessed it until help arrived. Precaution in case someone else lost their balance and tripped on him making it worse.

Then when help did arrive, his wife who was keeping his arm braced and still, helped him stand up with the paramedics by lifting him up from his arm

Oh yeah, the first night we were woken up by the ship wide announcement from the medical team that they needed a specific blood type that could be a donor to make their way down to them asap.

This is my 11th cruise. I've never actuallywitnessed an "accident", saw someone's lunch say hi again, or had them ask for blood before.

Best tip I ever got for this was from a club bouncer. If you want to go through a crowd gently push their shoulder from the back with the back of your flat hand. 90% of the time just touching their shoulder already makes them move. Hold your hand flat and don't grab cuz that would spook them lol
