I think you are assuming a lot of things. Firstly i don't have a lot of money i am still a student. And i am trying to look at this long term and not just wanting benefits for me. Because i do get your suggestion, the problem woth the suggestion is a high chance of having the wrong distribution of tiers, which i have seen before. Actually making the lower tiers worth more because they ended up being more rare. And i don't believe that would benefit most people in the long run. I would probably prefer it like it is at the moment, just make one type of loot box, or buying a fixed tier. However buying a fixed tier would lead to an even more uneven distribution. So it is either keeping it like it is, or only having one type of loot box

I trust the team, as i played a lot of gacha games in the past, i can see that the team is actually giving pretty good ods for getting what you want. They have different types of crates depending on people budget. There is never a guaranteed in this type of thing, that people will get what they want, or their money back. Have a few questions after reading the announcement article: 1. Do I pay per crate? Does one crate mint only one portrait? Do I pay another fee for each mint plus gas? 2. If I bond one accessory, and change my mind, can I change the accessory? 3. If buy one crate, and don’t mint any portrait during the sales window, I assume I can’t mint portrait anymore after that, the crate becomes useless? 4. If I mark an illuvitar for sale, but didn’t end up with a sale, can I change it back to use it instead?

It's a hot topic in gaming, cgi trailers that look a lot better than the game itself. Every big game does them, they serve a purpose in the industry. The only real time they get FUD back is when they produce what looks to be in game footage with cgi, looking all super sharp and smooth etc, then they release the game that totally different from it.

But they have steered away from that in the gaming industry. Often by having a footnote at the bottom of the screen saying, not in game footage, etc.

The main game trailer I'm sure will be just as epic... If they have the footnote AND put some actual gameplay footage in the same trailer OR in a seperate gameplay trailer released at the same time.... Then it'll do the job with no FUD at all.

As I can’t still write in iip channel, I think I saw this being suggested and I kind of like that it lessens the feeling/risk of being rigged, since it seems the sale is pushing the randomness anyways.

t1 box: high% t1, slim% t2, 0% >=t3
t2 box: high% t2, low% t1, slim% t3, 0% >=t4
t3 box: high% t3, low% t2, slim% t4, 0% >=t5
t4 box: high% t4, low% t3, slim% t5, 0% <=t2
t5 box: high% t5, low% t4, 0% <=t3

the pattern is simple:

• high % (e.g. 90%) chance for selected box tier to match minted tier (e.g. t1 box vs. t1 illuvitar)
• low % (e.g. 10%) chance for selected box tier to match lower minted tier (e.g. t3 box vs. t2 illuvitar)
• slim % (e.g. 1%) chance for selected box tier to match higher minted tier (e.g. t4 box vs. t5 illuvitar)

so you either get same tier box (highest chance) with same tier illuvitar, get lower tier (-1) illuvitar (lower chance) against current tier illuvitar, or get higher tier (+1) illuvitar (lowest) than current tier illuvitar

I still think the low tier boxes should have some small chance of a getting a T4/5 illuvial. Those would be feel good stories for those lucky few

im really thinking of this more like a lottery now, and not really a sale. so what you are really paying for is "odds." You can pay less (bronze) for low odds of getting high tier illuvials, or you can pay very large amounts (diamond) for much better odds. But either way its always a roll of the dice. you are just purchasing the odds you want.

The Auto battler is in open beta right now, with open beta 2 coming here soon. If you get to Ranger (level 5 chat) and register for Beta you have a decent chance of being able to start playing.

Alpha Land game play will hopefully be available in the next few weeks to those who own land. You won't be able to make any income during Alpha but if you find a blueprint (rare occurrence) you do get to keep that NFT as a thank you for playing the Alpha.

Open Beta is still TBD as far as released date. The game itself will have a free to play section where you can collect T0 illuvials but these are not NFTs, if you want to collect NFT Illuvials you'll have to 'travel' to one of the higher tiered regions which has an associated travel cost. Low probably in the range of 5-10 USD (Paid in Eth or SILV2).

Things seem overwhelming when you first step in but everyone is super welcoming 😄

I mean, for a reasonable comparison just look at the land sale. Most people didn't spend ETH.

With that said, there's substantially less sILV2 circulating than there was before the land sale. Total supply of sILV2 rn is 312.1k, and 239k of that was spent in the land sale and will be burned. That only leaves 73.1k sILV2 available to be spent, so maybe there will be more of a supply crunch than during the land sale.

I don’t think land will be burned. Yes when silv2 is made ILV is burned and when silv2 is used in purchase of land or illuvitwr or in game use it will also be burned and never see. Again

Etherscan disagrees with you, but regardless, we have substantially less liquid sILV2 than we did before the land sale, as 239k should be burned (this is how much the land sale took in).

Land doesn't get burned, it's an NFT asset and burning isn't part of how land functions.

Rewards are a generic "thing" that you get for staking. You can claim rewards as EITHER sILV2 or ILV. There are 3M rewards total. When you claim an sILV2 token, it's taken from the total supply of rewards, thereby preventing an ILV from existing.

So ILV doesn't get burned when you claim sILV2, it just never gets minted. It pretty much has the same effect long term though, the total possible supply of ILV is decreased the more rewards get claimed as sILV2.

I don’t understand the tiers for “unlimited”. The question is: is it feasible everyone can buy a tier 2 instead of a tier 1 since it’s “unlimited” , and the Tier 1 or virtual end up being more scarce than said a Tier 2? What’s the benefit of paying extra for a higher tier if they all are unlimited during that time period? Just a different pose?

there is some benifit to having the high packs for sale. it keeps the amount of illuvitars lower. if someone realy wants to shoot for getting t T5 illuvial they can pay tons of money for a single high percent chance at getting one. then there is only 1 illuvitar minted for 2.5 Eth, rather than having someone mint 100 illuvitars trying to get that same T5.

so the little guys wont have thier lower tier illuvials diluted by having the whales buying insane amount of packs trying to get the T5s

yea i dont have a problem with the single pack idea. i kinda support that idea and think it makes sense (just like buying regular packs at the store). But if i have to think a little out of the box, then i CAN see a bit of a benifit in having the higher packs available for sale for those who want to try it. as i said it keep the illuvitars from diluting in value (cause there wont be so many minted) and it gives those who want to pay that much money a better chance at T5. So its a bit of a win/win tradeoff.

So they would all have to mint 5 each. And if they did that, then there are still 22 different paid illuvitars so there would still be demand to trade them around. And at that point you have 4K of each illuvitar, that have a total of a billion different combinations to make them unique.

So they will all be unique, and there is only a limited amount of illuvitars even if people go ham on minting them. (Think about the 1M+ players we may have in a couple months after release)

Is it confirmed that the Illuvitar boxes will have those tier percentages that were previously proposed? I know that we shouldnt consider the proposed values in this case as we'll most likely see a more accurate update in a future IIP but is the tier percentage concept confirmed?

For the developers who are coming up with new Illuvitar designs basing one off of a Tardigrade would look awesome. They are a microbe that has 8 legs and 8 body part sections. Yes there will be a number of illuvitar base portraits, and while there are various backgrounds and expressions to each illuvitar there are bound to be duplicates minted. What will make certain Illuvitars rarer or one of a kind will be the accessories that end up being bonded to them.

I think it would be cool if we couldn't have duplicates. I've heard there are over 10 billion combinations, which means for 150 illuvials, there would be 66.6 million of each illuvial, which is heaps. I think it would be nice to know no one else has your exact illuvitar

Well that will be possible - sort of. When you bond accessories to the illuvitar the only thing that would make it a duplicate is if someone bonds the exact same accessories to the same illuvitar with the same background and same facial expression. If you truly want a 1/1 the only way would probably be to play the long game. Hold the base portraits and get accessories along the way then bond later down the road. So like if you have a base portrait from set 1 bonded with accessories from sets 4, 17, and 32.

I hardly think rarity will be a problem with so many options. And I am sure someone will make a rarity calculator so if you input illuvitar base with certain accessories it could tell you how many other Illuvitars have that combination. They do a similar thing with Axie so I am sure if not IlluvialMaster, then some site will probably plan to build something once the information is on the blockchain

What are illuvitars? Meaning what benefits( if any) do they provide to users.. I know they have no in-game utility and they are not used as Genesis nfts for spawning.. so what's the deal. Illuvitars are, in a simplified way, the representation of the player's individuality within the game, in the future, they can be won in tournaments and events which opens up the possibility of more usefulness over time, but at first, they are collectibles and identifiers.
