yeah good point, would be nice to "update" the colour border to represent the promo illuvitars a bit better. The red border must start at 2500 pts or something but when the promo illuvitars have accessories pre-equipped, it sorts of throws off the balance a bit

probably here power should not be the only thing that determines which is red and which is not. gold Jotun has very little power due to the lack of accessories. Rarity should determine whether it is red or not

You probably do own them - sometimes the qaunities can exceed your amount, because you can part-fill orders.
The fact they are 99% below floor price, is because bots suck and try and buy things for unethical prices, in hopes they can make a sale for newer/less educated playerbase.

Hey guys 🙂 I started collecting some Illuvitars during the last weeks, but I never got started with bonding yet. Is there like a rough rule of thumb how you guys do it?

E.g. everything below 1000 --> 5% accessories are enough
Everything between 1000 - 1200 --> 7,5 % accessories
1200-1500 --> 8,75%
...
Or how are you guys handling this topic

I would focuss on how rare the illuvitar is, how much power it has and how many sleeves it fills in the album!

I don't generally bond because I prefer to keep my illuvitars clean hahaha! Even if it does cost me thousands upon thousands of leaderboard points

But I believe the general rule you wanna follow, is save your higher % accessories for the higher base power illuvitars. Since the Accessories are a multiplier, than are far more valuable on a higher base number

For example a rare exp holo illuvitar should never be below 13% accessories imo

But like kieran said, u want to put high % accessories on high base power illuvitars that fill the most sleeves

Nah Illuvium has been pretty receptive and helpful with RD and I'm grateful
I don't feel ignored at all... I think it's really up to the community to keep coming together and make cool shit... keep doing tourneys or build things that support the ecosystem and encourage engagement.

As for the reward thing... I had made a feedback thread about beyonders not getting rewards for the time during migration. Which I still think is whack... there wasn't really enough support to snownball that into anything meaningful so... I see it as, it is what it is and move on.

I have come to accept that there are things I won't or don't like about Illuvium... but it doesn't change the fact that I want it to be successful, and there are things I enjoy here... especially many in the community that I have become friends with. So for that, it's a W.

I would imagine that legacy leaderboard will remain and set 1 accessories will still be needed to bond set 1 illuvitars to compete.
To remain competitive you would still need to bond illuvitars from both sets.
Just my 2 cents, obviously I have no idea how things will play out.

Unless you've bonded 100% of your album, accessories will always be needed, providing they keep legacy live.

I thought about that and think it could work. They just need to add more tiers or rarity into the set and credit additional point bonuses to those so that we can all chase those instead of accesssories and demolishing otherwise great pieces of art.
This would keep all base level cards accessible but have super rare versions for people to chase or sell, whatever your angle.

We're still investigating this Bondaddy. Our frontend team spent a lot of time looking into it this week and still wasn't able to reproduce it, it's very strange. We need to go through user logs and backend side tracing/APIs with a fine toothcomb again with that team to see if we can find anything new.

If those numbers have been public for a long enough time where people have been spending based on them, then the project has to eat it.

The difference seems to be 6900 ILV, some of which has already been paid for by the extra spending those published numbers generated, both in disk sales and marketplace fees. So the real net loss is a fraction of that.

We are also talking about paying it out to literally the biggest spenders in the whole project, so we know that most of it will find its way back into Illuvium.

The alternative is a kick in the balls for said customers, which would not bode well for future sales. So it's a no brainer business decision, really. And a lesson to set up a system where numbers get double-triple checked before getting published in the future.

So first place for example gets 25ilv per week and 10% of the pool at end of the wave but someone put the ilv per week number into the % columns for end of wave reward by accident and so you guys up to today saw ~2.5x more rewards for end of the wave

To be clear, most people here on Discord are friends and many, like me, have been in this project for 3 years because we love it. I also like Rich Illuvium a lot and I also feel sorry for him because he is always confronted with our bullshit and has to sort everything out with us, but it is still business and a lot of money is involved. If I give my client a wrong price in my job and try to change it after 1 1/2 weeks without saying anything, I also have to stick to the price, then I just messed up. I read through the conversation. It’s definitely interesting. I’m also here because I believe in the project and in its future. Nobody wants to exploit the project for money. I know the entire Beyond player base. Personally, I also think the current numbers are the realistic ones, as Spoon mentioned, but not everyone understands these things as clearly as I do. Many people spent based on how much they expected to receive back at the end of the wave.
It’s like going into a store , the customer is always right. Players should never be blamed for not fully understanding the situation. Clear communication is necessary, and then everyone will see things properly and there won’t be complaints. This is clearly the team’s mistake once again. There have already been many similar situations, and the team never seems to learn from its mistakes.
I understand that it’s a bear market, and I understand that the project needs to survive ,which is in all of our interests. But if compensation cannot be paid in ILV tokens, then the team could compensate players with disks instead. That way, players still receive something, while the team would not need to pay additional ILV tokens.
Since this is no longer relevant after the final results, in my opinion the second-to-last snapshot could be the best opportunity for the team to compensate the players. For example, if a player in 20th place should have received 10 more ILV tokens, then they could instead receive the equivalent amount of fuel based on the current market price, which they could use to buy disks. Or they could directly receive the amount of disks they would have been able to purchase from the difference.
This is just an idea. It’s a bit complicated as well. But any similar solution could work.

More recently, I saw what they "became", and I also see how they don't increase, even though thousands of dollars worth of fuel is spent on disks. Somehow, the total amount of ILV either stays the same, or increases a tiny bit. I KNOW that thousands of dollars have been spent! Why haven't the rewards increased? I thought that the deal was that the rewards increased with the money spent on the wave???? Now I'm learning that not only do they not increase, but that the rewards for top spots got slashed. Getting 1st place in the wave won't even pay for the disks I bought this past week! Forget about what I spent the rest of the wave.

Right now, the rewards feel like a kick in the @#%#. They don't increase with money spent, and they got cut to shreds compared to what was published.

On top of all that, there has been no confirmation that there will be a Set 2, or how it will work. Or that there will be a continuation of the LB. No firm idea of what accessories will entail, or if they will be eliminated. There is actually a huge black hole as far as the future is concerned.

When exactly will the legacy LB be closing down?

Can we expect a Set 2, and when? What will it look like for accessories?

What will future rewards look like? (this is important for spending on this wave, to ensure what we buy now still helps for a legacy LB).

Personally, I've been working quite hard this wave to do well. At least until I saw the updated rewards. Now, I just want to sell everything I can and get out as quickly as possible. I know a lot of people are still buying disks in the hopes that things will get fixed. As for me, I don't intend to buy anymore until I know that they are fixed for this wave, and there is clarity for a way forward.

We all know that these illuvitars have an intrinsic value and we are collecting them for that reason. The same reason people collect anything from baseball cards to art. However, if the project fails (for any reason), the value of what we hold drops to zero. That's bad for everyone involved. So I understand and encorage cross game integration, and even cross game rewards to try and keep them connected. (Though some of those need to benefit Beyond players as well.) But we also know that Beyond is one of, if not THE, largest revenue stream for the ecosystem. So losing your players here will pretty much sink the entire thing.

For that reason, I can only assume that Set 2 Wave 1 will come sooner rather than later. However, I hope the project's perspective on it changes from "Let's release this so we can get some revenue" to something more focused on the players and the actual Beyond collection. Currently, it's pretty obvious that it is a revenue source for the project, and little more. Much like Zero was during the land sale. Now, with the way fuel is purchased, Zero is a drain on the ecosystem rather than an essential part of it. They are all tied together loosely, but not actually dependant on one another, or even supportive of each other. Until that happens there won't be a balance in the games or a consistent, dependable income for the project. And that, in turn, means more inconsistency, smaller rewards, and anticipatory anxiety.

Previously, ILV rewards were tied to the ETH rate, so in the last wave when ETH grew, the rewards decreased, there was a promise that this wave would be specific to each disk purchased, but these are all just promises, we have the same thing this wave, Kieran only posts loudly about what a wonderful Beyond project is and that it brought in more than 10 million dollars) in fact they don't give a damn about us)

Just think about the revenue and return for players.

Only bond t0’s that are holo, usually 10%. But if the t0 is above 1100 i usually go and put higher.

Also be sure to fill all accessory slots in the album!

it all depends what you want from your album? do you want a competitive album (to earn from leaderboard), or just for fun? if competitive, how much are you willing to spend? are you are looking for highest possible leaderboard place for least amount spent? it all depends on what you want and what is your budget.

e.g. if you are looking for top 100 albums to earn (currently 1.5 ILV/week), you would need about 800$ (if you are buying everything from marketplace, both illuvitars and accessories). but you can probably find someone who would sell you their album for about half that price. if you are looking e.g. top 20-40 albums (currently 3.75 ILV/week), cost rises exponentially and you would need about 4 eth to buy everything from marketplace. same rules apply as before, so if you are willing to spend that amount of cash in one go, some1 would probably sell you their album with the discount.

or are you planning to build you album during prolonged amount of time? then you are playing a whole different game...

so, long story short, to give you some advice, you would need to be more specific on what you want/expect from your album.

If you buy lets say xiphet album for 1,5 eth.. you would never be able to sell 90-75% of what you spend more like 30-50% if your lucky .. Look at Team Fortress 2 and CSGO if you buy expensive items there you will always get atleast 80-90% of your money worth back in an instant. Dont buy this crap. My honest advice !
