Yeah Hektor, the odds of something actually good in a disc is really low. 95% of my mega disks are like that. I've opened about 250 of them and have seen 2 Alpie, 1 Phorus, 1 Jotun, and 1 Blazenite. That's just how it goes. But don't worry, the standard discs are the same. I just now mass opened 100 of them and only 3 were above the 1450 "rare" cutoff, and 2 were lynx.

At the beginning of wave5 I got 111 megadisks. I bought more later. I bought a lot of standards too. The 111 megas contained a good illuvitar ($250-350), the rest are worthless. the odds are very bad I feel that way. Maybe I don't have as much luck as in wave3-4 but the difference is huge. I don't think it's just bad luck

I like opening disks, but I do it much smarter if I sell the 111 megadisks and use the money to buy on the market.

Beyond players have done a massive amount for the ecosystem, and we want to make sure we’re looking after you properly.

A few of the things we’re currently discussing:

• A 50% price drop, with anyone who purchased in Wave 5 receiving free disks to make up the difference
• Increasing leaderboard rewards so they better reflect where the market is at
• Increasing the amount of points earned from burning. This one is a bit more delicate, so we need to be careful with the balance here.

Higher rewards for the leaderboard is also great, right now they are only fighting for the end of wave illuvitars.

I think this was a reasonable decision because with the current token price of $4 people are not buying $30 Megadisks. As long as the crypto market is this bad and the ilv value is this low, half price is a logical decision. And as Jeremy mentioned, those who have already bought will also be compensated. In my opinion, they can't do better than this in the current situation. I am completely satisfied

Holo was never a name was only applied to it... same as expressions

i should have kept the 2tb of blockchain data, i had, was just such a pain moving it in the cloud, cuz most droplets dont have that space and volumes are expensive at that size

its just a code hack.. name = Archie, if finish == 1 name == "Holo Archie", if expression = angry, name == "Angry Archie"

now what might have happened, is meta data has a name field, and the nft structure has a name field, they might have had it different in metadata, i think that name field was removed in the metadata, it was redundant

It wasn't entirely useless. You could search marketplace items by finish/expression via simple plain text search aka 'holo suspci...' which was very convenient. Now you have to enable filters for that. I'll wait for the team to get back to us on this, a lot of my site was relying on that

@TorskDave it's more complicated, what you need to do, is check if its a promo illuvitar, in that case the names might be accurate... then if not promo prepend the others(finish), expression) variant i think is irrelevant,, but still checking to be sure

yeah im seeing strangeness how this is all handled, i have 15 orders come up in my dex for "Gold" in Illuvitars, on Illuvidex only 3 come up... i have verified all 15 are live active orders

it's indeed complicated. I started the site in 2023 pre-vibe coding and it's like 20k lines of code, half of it is handling naming conflicts between apis: ilv dex, imx, ilv album data, ilv indexer - for each wave released since wave2. Each wave the devs have changed stuff around to inflict further suffering upon my soul (kidding.. but not really). The migration to zkevm was the straw that almost broke my back, but am back and ready to suffer. You guys starting just now with marketplaces have it easier, at least you're starting fresh 🥲

heh, my store was built on Immutable X, and Immutable took down the documentation for the api's, i've hand uncoded every line in their SDK's, the Illuvial / Illuvitar stuff is awkward, but pretty straight forward with some ifs and buts

I think the odds of holo was 5% (1 in 20) and also 5% (1 in 20) for glitched.

I added a ---> floor price tooltip in 'my inventory' so people can reference current floor prices. If ppl like it I can add it to the main marketplace as well.

This uses relative variables to show floor price of similar... it will be on low end but still something people can easily reference.
