I think one of the coolest things about BAW is how we solved deck generation. We wanted to ensure from the start that you** only need to bring Illuvitars**... so how do you build a deck?

What we did is bound or Aligned different cards with different properties of the Illuvitar (like accessories or backgrounds). When you build your team you implicitly build your deck through the accessories and other properties of the Illuvitars you put in your team.

For example in the **Card Library ** on the website check out the cards aligned with Halo accessories:

If you play 2 Halo's on your team you get 1 of these cards, 3 will get you 2, 4 will get you 3 and 5 will get you 4.

Notice the cards are both similar, they are focussed on Boosting Defence, so if you want a defence based control deck playing some Illuvitars with Halos is a good idea.

There is a little bit of RNG, you can't guarantee* which of these cards you get and we think this will help with keeping things fresh and challenging.
(*if you play 4 or 5 you do guarantee at least one of each)

This table doesn't really encourage this, since the rewards for 11th place and 30th place are not very different from each other and therefore there is no competition between players, the same goes for 11th and 20th place.@potent tulip

I'm not very good at this, but if you don't rush, take a shorter step to 50th place
11-15(28%),16-20(19%)-21-25(16%) 26-30(13%) 31-35(10%) 36-40(8%) 41-50(6%) , if you take the sum for these places and divide by %, I understand that ILV is not high right now, and so it still affects the fight, but even with a large value, a person in 30th place will get almost the same amount of ILV as someone in 11th place

These are all conditional numbers to explain my idea, but with the difference in percentages, people will fight for every point in the table, it would also be good to make the first 10 places separately, these are the top collectors and they deserve such a table, if that's the case, there will be a hot fight (I don't mean myself, I'm temporarily there)

Wave 4 is slowly coming to an end and I have to congratulate the entire illuvium beyond team! It was a great wave 4 with very, very nice illuvitars, a great promo phase with real beauty's, fast rewards and very few and small problems that were solved really quickly by @kind scroll . Thanks Roger, you are truly always there for us and always helping. As you said, Beyond is a good and profitable project, so why aren't Kieran and Aaron involved? They could contribute by even being on the channels and talking more about it. It's already wave 4 and there are almost no new people on the leaderboard.

If there is no replenishment of users, the game will move towards decline, not development.

Beyond has had little to no marketing and it's not actually a good on-boarding game, it's the other way around. Most players come to Beyond from the other games. So until the other games are appealing enough to acquire new players, Beyond will have a hard time increasing its player base. Hopefully this increase is coming with Arena and the MMO and we'll see lots of new faces in the near future.

The rare expression Phosphorus was the one to get this wave. Only 3 of those exist, so for anyone wanting a complete collection, it was a must have.

Yup, thank you! I did figure this out. The answer is that since there are no milestones in Wave4, the points are just whatever points the new illuvitar adds to the Wave4 set and any other sleeves a wave 4 illuvitar is placed in within other collections. No big bonus for completion (which is a huge boo).

I thought you had to spend money to play those games too. Don't you need to burn fuel in the overworld to get illuvitars to take into the arena, or buy them on the marketplace? Sounds like a (less expensive) similar mechanism. Unless you're able to use the same illuvials on different accounts.

What they do with ow, esp. with mmo, will be interesting to see.

but even then the fees were very small...to buy an album equal to any reward in beyond takes a fair amount of money, and you need to continue to add to each wave.

I would conservatively guess it would require an investment in the thousands to get top 100, and escalate from there quite dramatically

If the other one was more than 2500 dollars then it's at least 4 thousand dollars. But I wouldn't sell it for that much. And there's one of them in the game

It doesn't take much calculation to determine that the valuation has nothing to do with reality.

With few players, and even fewer after the current people sell out, I think most of the listings are a joke. They are not a floor, as there is no trades there. A floor is where an actual trade occurs in current time, preferrable multiple trade. With this illiquid a market an illuvitar and collection is only worth what any buyers says it is. These have no real world value, and limited legacy lb value as the pool of illuvitars needed for that is so large now. So yeah, most of our past buys and trades won't look good in current economics and it will probably get worst. This has to be a hobby, because it sure isn't going to be an investment, at least from an nft resale standpoint. Some limited value from weekly ilv but that is very dependent on ilv going up, not to zero which is not a guarantee at this point. To think otherwise is delusional. Disappointing, and yes, still some hope, but this is the way things are now, so we all should just face it.

We had the interest, the money was flowing and it seemed a natural progression.

I find it really interesting how to calculate value

As I work on this price estimator I am realizing how hard it is to valuate certain things realistically... most things are relatively easy because there are comparable and basic statistical analysis can get you a relatively accurate valuation based on sales data.

But one of ones are quite a challenge... I'm exploring a system that does it. But requires its own type of databasing and requires a server to run. Fun learning new things 😄

are you after my state secrets? 😃 the answer is kinda to both those questions. there was no imx-layer when i built it, and the imx api orders route was very spotty when adding metadata params (still is) - so it made the task even more difficult.. had to hardcode quite a bit, and some of it still is hardcoded. ive some levers i can pull to adjust prices when the market evolves, like throughout a recently release wave; but not fully auto, i just keep an eye out

A simple and logical statistical analysis to calculate averages based on sales data... and another model that uses neighboring traits as closest relative. Maybe even a side by side comparison of the two mdels... having a sensible price guide is the goal and I hopw will be helpful for people

Outliers and edge cases are a challenge for sure

most of the collection can be relatively easily valued... but for pieces with little to no sales data it is def a challenge

also, value can be subjective... like you say, you will determine the value... and that's essentially true

Is it possible that this will be a promotion for Partren? I would like to hear your opinion on the drop rate of rare Iluvitars. In wave 4 there were few Iluvitars T5 S3 and very few Holo Phosphorus, although a lot of discs were opened, but in the promo Octius dropped very often.

just to posit the opposing view, I know of two big disk buyers that aren't really buying disks any more (and haven't said so publicly)
, and might be looking just to sell their ilv stuff and get out. It might be very important to find a way to get new players into Beyond for any disk sale to be ultimately successful. Not sure how we do that, but that will be one of the issues. That being said, for those of us that are left I think a Halloween promo would be a lot of fun...in many cases those were my favorite of all illuvitars. And Pirate closing may be symbolic of some of the challenges with crypto gaming.

Like those stupid dolls with teeth that are big right now (and did we ever launch plushies?) . Something promoted out in public during Halloween might get some people to play, and those dolls come in "disk" form, ie you don't know what you can get and they say people get addicted to the open process. That is part of what the disks offer digitally.

There's not much time, so you have to make quick decisions, but I think that if we do Halloween then and launch wave 5 along with the promo, the wave will last 3 months and it will cover Christmas and New Year, which is really cool, + I understand that at this time there will already be MMO LIte and the IPL Final, which can also have a good impact on Beyond, I think that such a launch will be the strongest in the entire history of Beyond

Well, who said that the Wave can't have 2 promos ?

I'm sure that by the end of December you will be able to do a small New Year's promo with a small album)

I meant that in the 3rd wave, Adorius was more common than Phosphorus in the 4th, and also in the promo version of G-Shock, Pho was also very rare compared to Octius in this one.

in the ILV Summer promo drop rate where changed this time around to make the promo feel better because you can't sleeve these promo Illuvitars outside of the ILV Summer Collection. You need to compare the drop rate without the promos

you might have more octius overall but a lot of those (the ILV Summer) can only be sleeved in one (two) spot

Its simple math, 24k megas were opened wave 3, 12k wave 4. And there were 2 t5s3’s in wave 3, only 1 for wave 1. Which is why theres around 50 t5s3 in wave 4 that exist and 200 for wave 3
