Hey guys, can you help me with some insights?
I want to buy 3 mega alpha disks this wave, as i never bought any.
Are they worth it?
Should i buy one at a time, or should buy 3 at once?

Doesnt matter how you buy the alphas. The points you get from the alphas are worth it. But depends on the rewards that are obtained. Say, the 80 point reward is a megad1sk for wave 5, then buying three mega alpha's at 27 points each would give you 81 poinrs. Therefore a free megad1sk next wave.

Worth it? Dunno.

So for points, alphas are great. But do understand that you could buy more regular mega's and therefore have more fun opening those d1sks. Alpha's are priced higher purely due to the alpha status but have no meaningful value outside of it. No extra points or other competitive example.

Since they are only around for <24 hourz, buying alpha's i would just do in bulk. Buy 3 in one go and dont give yourself time to regret your decision 😉

If you dont go for alphas after all, i would suggest holding onto some fuel for the promo partner d1sks. They tend to also give more points (albeit 8 instead of 7 last wave so not 2x as many) but the promos are usually also very rare and pulling double holo, one being a rare promo and another being the rare pull, feels awesome.

Key difference may hinge on how they want to structure promo's and gold illuvitars. I dont think they will make promos limited to their own separate collection. But if they do, promos hold a lot less value in that regard. You wouldnt be able to finish 15 slots with your promo, and so be less close to your finished collections. dont take this "how they want to structure promos" too seriously to all you whales. I was talking with Rogier a while ago and he didnt want to make adjustments to promos 😉 so no panic 👍 just me continuing a conversation to see if i can get some reaction from community. Whether none/positive/negative, always helps 🙂

So, id say buy either the alphas for points, regulars for the fun, and promo's for great fun but you will have to miss out on any leaderboard rewards until it takes place.

And I get the ilv team does't have time to develop something like this for beyond, but wouldn't it be great! Card game, racer, etc. Just something mobile, stupid and fun with some reward for dopamine hits.
That being said, I have the two hours to x-mas feeling like I had as a kid about wave 4...now I was usually disappointed, and can't understand how grandma thinks a young boy wants underwear, but oh well 😉 LFG 🙂

I do think each wave is better than the last. But mistakes have been aplenty.

Would probably be beneficial if the team made a beyond groupchat with a number of high ranking and reasonable beyond collectors. A beyond committee so to speak 🙂 the actual beyond enjoyers probably know the game better than the majority of council and team.
