I know it will likely follow a similar trajectory but it would still be good to see.

To me it appears as though very early on in the wave people purchased mega disks, then switched to standards pretty quickly, highly likely for the broken stretch goals.
I think this wave we will outperform wave 2 in mega sales due to this issue being resolved, therefore we should see more revenue even with less disks being sold overall. I could b wrong, but for now, it's looking like this could hold true.

We're compartmentalizing products a bit and the teams with it. Good thing for beyond is that a lot of work that could be done upfront has been done. New updates to the project will rely on aesthetics as well as coding in sime progression systems. And few more, like i said ill get this written up and visualized early next year and shared.
If u look at the last few months the team has been incredibly hard at work. But stuff takes time.

I do think we should start talks on what to improve for wave 4, seeing as we finished the first part of the wave, we did the first promo. Time to get some input from the community as to what they would like to see for wave 4. (If anything has to be changed at all).

We don't want a repeat of what happened for wave 2 and 3 after all, with multiple IIP/ICCPs days prior to the launch of the wave

naturally we can't get sentiment on changes on the wave specific leaderboard. but other than that, we can gain some insight 🙂

I think you just need to be reasonable with your expectations. It'll be updates to what we already have, not a brand new game. But things will definitely happen in 2025 and are already being planned/in the works.
Beyond is Rogier's baby, trust that he's always working on something for it, and always fighting for it

the change I'd like to see is individual card credit for battling in a individual battle so you can farm your skill not so much depending on rares so much for points but adding a skill task .

more focusing on skill decision would help structure a sustainable game helps with being more satisfieing in achieving something

Wave 3 is done well, the secondary market and sales are perhaps going badly because the main game is not very attractive yet and for Beyond compared to the first two waves there is no longer the hope of a game for Beyond, even if everyone in the community was in favor of creating it. If one of these two things doesn't change I think wave 4 will be similar to this. Maybe it would be nice to see a better customization of your album by creating the option to make a showcase with x illuvitar or a mini album in which to put your favorites

We should start by cleaning house and making the album bug-free. For example, sometimes it's not sleeving the highest power with auto-sleeve. Being able to see other players album collection, etc...

Here's what I would like to see for wave 4:

• Improved leaderboard.
  -- Show the total prize pool for the leaderboard according to the total ETH spent.
  -- Improved aesthetics.
  -- Faster refresh time.
  -- Better leaderboard sizing and ILV distribution (increase the legacy leaderboard number of spots and decrease the current leaderboard, the weekly rewards is what drives players to keep bonding during the wave)

• Bulk opening d1sk feature (at least 10 at a time).

• Add a button to unsleeve all from the current collection.

• An additional collection for matching backgrounds (max 1 per illuvial).

• Improve the Lynxes collection to have all their expressions.

• A notification when new offers are received.

• Showcase page (Maybe giving us like 10-20 slots for us to fill with our favourite illuvitars).

A favorite showcase is definitely a must. But i wouldnt add points to that. People will just add high power bonded illuvitars to get the points, losing the purpose of a favorite showcase. I would like to add a doka to that, but i would feel bad for doing so knowing i could get more points with another illuvitar which i dont like

Maybe instead we can make a voting contest, where people can vote other people's showcase

I think beyond is always going to be different and doesn't need to directly interact with the main game, and perhaps the whole ecosystem is moving to a stand alone basis..hard to tell from recent blog. And both could have some form of card games, and yeah illuvitars could have a War game, where you flip a random card like we did as kids, and for sure can be developed outside the dao, but maybe with some dao support, like minima ilv prizes like gods unchained does. i think beyond is amazing. the team does a great job right now. the gap made floors wack and blurry. selling point is super low. you can blame the lack for competition on top altough i hear its no very lacky at all. what is lacking is the community being reasonable... you all want snipes while trying to sell high... first to hook a new player the newby needs to realise this works is sellable etc. that happens in the current wave not in w1 what reason would a new player have to buy something for 200$ while a rarer higher stage illu from the same line is selling at 0.5$? this thing is team and community based 50/50 i think atleast for the incentive to get in and actually collecting. my shift in tone is kinda crazy but jeah i dont care i speak my mind usually. also did anyone realize the illuvidata - IM code was improved??? there never was a differentiation on bg but now there is. for me team is making a big effort to make things better.

something wrong in the code somwhere relating to fetching thumbnails on illuvitars seems like most of the G-Shock are affected.... cant quite figure it out yet, but it seems like its replacing a local illuvium api call with the imx api endpoint, (simply put, wrong domain called) causing a server 500 error, instead of displaying the image_url

might be the urls used in metadata, still troubleshooting

affects all promo assets, gamestop g-shock, team liquid etc

Could you set up the accessories the same way? Right now it lists all the accessories in a list... but having them clickable by main type then sub type like the illuvitars would make accessories easy to find also.

I am in favour of any new changes that brings more volume to beyond marketplace. I don't think they need to provide more than a week notice for any new album changes. Beyond players need to keep fighting for the LB spot with new changes or slots open at anytime. If you don't have that unknown factor in beyond then it becomes fairly predictable game to chase the LB position.

It's a big commitment to simply piggy back on another IP that isn't yet established.

Again, doesn't have to be complex, almost a war type game where you compete by flipping random illuvitars over. Probably someone could whip it up in a weekend and throw a slight incentive to it and make it mobil and boom, could take off and even increase demand for illuvitars and benefit the dao (hence why the may offer some reward to players).

But ultimately, we need the dao to survive and that means gauntlet right now has to work.

So that indeed should be the teams focus.

Kieran was talking about a Feb. raise so that could time out well with relaunch and market...we shall see 😉

The trouble is the overlap between them all is limited I'm guess; for example, arena is of no interest to me but I love collecting and card games. And enjoyed building on zero but no excitement after that was done.

I think this was where the team failed, the fact they launched OW without the Arena competitive scene being close to ready was a huge mistake. The Arena is what closes the entire game loop since it's the only end-game for Illuvium that utilizes the assets. There's no point in capturing/leveling illuvials if there's no game you can meaningfully use them...

I'm just thinking when ordering the watch, there could be an ddress where you send the NFT, during order vefification this can be checked and verified before dispatching the watch. Upon successful verification the NFT coud be burnt. It just needs to be clear that the NFT must be sent from the wallet address that is placing the order.

The watches would be taking up storage though until they were all claimed. Only downside I can see.

For an example. If I have 50 NFT's for 50 watches. I could list 1 for sale, you then purchase this.
To redeem the watch you just need to put in your order and send the NFT to the designated address.
Someone verifies your order and the NFT and ships the watch to you. The NFT is then burnt.

Otherwise, I would get all 50 sent to me, and would have to request your address to send it to you.
If you have a po pox or something similar, not an issue but i'm sure not many will want to provide their home address.
The only way to avoid this would be going the NFT route.
In saying all this though, how big of an issue is it. How many people are due multiple and would like to list them for sale?

Another thought in regards to this.
If such a thing was implemented, in the future various physical products could be offered as rewards/stretch goals etc and could be issued instantly as an NFT redeemable on/after a certain date.
There likely will be a fair percentage of these that will remain as NFT's and not be redeemed, which would be highly beneficial for the DAO.
Not only that, the incentive would be greater to obtain these rewards as they would be far more liquid as they could be traded immedately on the marketplace.
Very much like gift cards in way.

If you unsleeve your wave 3 illuviatars and resleeve them, it should resolve it for you and you should see your points begin to tally correctly.
This is just a temporary measure. A more permanent solution is in the pipeline.

Months ago we had this big promise from the team that there will be better communication from then on. What happened to that promise???

Why is that we have to repeatedly ask for basic information related to the part of the game we are actively competing in? And we are being repeatedly ignored or given a sidestepping answer?

We are putting in thousands of dollars into the game, but we are not allowed to know how much money is in the prize pool we are competing for??

More than half way through the wave we still don't know for sure wheather or not tier 0 illuvials will count or not? This detail alone means hundreds of dollars of difference to someone competing for higher places...

We are not even getting an answer to a super simple question of what is the point difference we will see in the promo cards after the background points are corrected. I mean, it was an input error. It happens, we get it! But the correct data must be written down in a spreadsheet somewhere. Should take 5 min to look up. And yet, no one can be bothered to look it up and tell us for over a month now?

People in this chat are some of the biggest supporters of the project and somehow we have to beg for info we should have had available from the start of the wave? Way to alienate your core community!

My post was not a personal attack on you either, you can't tell us info you don't have. But in the case of the promo backgrounds, someone must have designed those values at some point. And I assume they put those numbers into a spreadsheet.

Currently, all BGs are giving 537 points. So it's either:

• we accidentally put in the tier 1 value for all, and tier 2-3 will give x points more after the fix
• or, we accidentally put in tier 2 value for all, and tier 1 will give x amount less, while tier 3 will give x amount more after the fix
• or, we accidentally put in tier 3 value for all, and tier 1-2 will give x amount less after the fix

That is all we are asking for, NOT the implementation. We know it takes time. But if we know the data we can better judge the value of illuvitars that are on the market now.

i think theres display error in counting disk opening points... just now it shows i have 270 points, but i got opalite skin like 20 packs ago (so backend is counting good, or maybe threshold changed, should be 300?)... id really like to know correct number of points to know if its worth to push for more rewards

there were a lot of people getting rewards they didn't earn, which unfortunately destroyed the value for some of the golden illuvitars, and unfair to those that earned them and even worse for the ones who paid fair market value before the unwarranted issuance. This and things like glitches to web 3 LB are concerning, and create frustration and even distrust.

oh, i see... but i also noticed not all disks i open were being counted, so that confused me even more (for instance i opened 10 packs and i saw it counted just 7)... and that also happened in many instances..
anyway, hope it gets sorted, i understand frustration completely, its not a cheap collectible game 😛

Hey all, just met internally again about the Wave 3 Leaderboard issues, will get a timeline asap, resources are spread out with many priorities all over, but with just a month left on wave 3 Im making sure everyone is aware there needs to a be some sense of urgency on getting these solved as well. The problem with Wave 3 Tier 0 was one based on metadata

All waves have a Tier 0, so they aren’t wave specific making them wave 0

In the meta data at least

But instead we would need to add the identifier of the BG specifics to wave 3 tier 0

even if you left out t0s no one would care...esp. as it's only three with the wave 3 background. Promo backgrounds much bigger factor

It was just an incorrect data source the leaderboard was pulling from. Although it seems like a simple fix it was a matter of getting a backend resource available to test, debug, implement fix, test again (now on testing environment to make sure this fix doesn’t mess anything else up.) but its already fixed and as soon as things are tested I’m sure we’ll be deploying asap

So are tier 0's all remaining wave 0, rather than being grouped to thier specific wave?
That being the case we wouldn't need to bond every tier 0 for every wave specific leaderboard going forward.
However if they were all grouped to their respective waves, rather than all wave 0, we would have to bond all tier 0's again for each wave specific leaderboard. Quite large implications with such a move, therefore it would be good to have something definitive on that one.

Not necessarily as all of the accessory slots count towards wave 3 without needing a new album.
We would just need to bond a wave 3 tier 0 and replace a non wave 3 tier 0 to gain the points on the wave 3 leaderboard.

It would be a big move to make, a headache, but the demand for wave specific tier 0's would go through the roof 😅 .

As of right now, the only Tier 0 that will be identified on as wave 3 and therefore included on the wave 3 leaderboard would be the GSHOCK Tier 0 as they have a unique Wave 3 identifier for being part of the promo colleciton

Although I will say we could identify the "Wave 3 Tier 0" by "Wave 3 Backgrounds" but as @tepid geyser said this would have major implications on people bonding and re sleeving
