No concrete date was given for that no. But it should happen "soon" and will see double rewards for a while. This would happen after the 2FA with a wallet signature is completed on the illuvidex. You would sign with your wallet alongside your passport confirmation when transferring your Illuvitars.

After all, we want us to be safe with our assets on passport.

I personally would expect this to be rolled out alongside wave 3 for the following reasons:

  1. This means that you dont now give rewards to people when they dont have to compete anymore, the leaderboard has been unmoving for months.
  2. If you restart at wave 3 and double rewards, there is further incentive to buy wave 3 d1sks.
  3. With the passport-based albums now empty because people want to have secure assets, it would make little sense to start wave 3 when people dont want to hold illuvitars in their unguarded passport.

So i expect wave 3, wallet integrated security and leaderboard rewards to all resume/take place/become functional around the same time. And this should be somewhere in october.

Also yes reason 1+2 is a bit iffy to mention. But i just share my personal thoughts xD i think everything will come together nicely next month. 👍

Actually, that message said October 1st and 10th, not September. Personally I am pretty anxious about where this has been going and feeling a bit like we are the back burner. And after as much money as I have put in, it is a bit unfair...especially with no rewards being paid. But I also know that they are working hard behind the scenes and have a lot going on. And they do need some patience from us, and that will hopefully pay off over time. Its all speculative still, so all we can do is wait for the team to do what they do, and cut them some slack. Certainly don't want to put words into their mouths.

Sure, but it hasn't been radiosilence either. Rich, Kieran and Rogier at this point more or less all confirmed early October (probability wise and reading between the lines my guess would be October 8th).

I don't really see how an exact date matters, at this point. But you either believe or don't believe they are waiting on a third party. If you do believe, it's no surprise there's no official date and announcement yet.

Definitely it would look bad if the rewards where withheld for months only to be released when a new wave sale kicked off... The optics would be disastrous. I don't think they would do such a thing, but I do worry that too many things are piling up. I want to see the new Albums released and looking its very best with super exciting features. The Illuvidex has to be fixed & running smooth. The rewards must be caught up and a system finally implemented that makes payments more reliable. Secure wallet options for our assets released and thoroughly tested - and then a solid three weeks of promoting Illuvitars, the new features, and lots of teasers etc... so that new players are attracted to at least take a look at the albums and get an appetite to participate.

In a meeting now about secondary wallet support, there is just a few things to consider for this. Considering the MVP for land support was read only, the requirements for Beyond are more intensive, considering bonding, sleeving, etc. So while this is all being considering, we have a lot of this tech already obviously before we turned over to passport. So its matter of ironing a few things out. For example if you have Illuvitars and accessories, on your passport and secondary wallet, we have to have a prompt for you to burn in passport and metamask and then the assets need to be reminted to one of these wallets.

So as I don't have a time frame yet, it doesnt seem like its anything crazy for them to implement at least in theory from what we are discussing now.

Doubtful we are going to have a wellspring of new players anyway, so current positions, other than those on the demarcation points for tiers, should be safe. And less worried about rewards here because I won't be selling ILV at $30 to buy disks anyway 😉 I'd consider staking but the lack of players in the ecosystem means very limited rev dis for the foreseeable future, so no return for being locked up. Be just to have the next wave occur will be huge Atlas_Wow

That could be seen as a cheap trick - withhold rewards that people rightfully earned and make them pay again for the chance to get the rewards earned to date. That has the optics of Grift. Such a "Grifty looking" move could paint Illuvium as a scam, so we should take care to do the right thing and not take unnecessary risks.

Its fine to say that certain things haven't been done well, but with the amount of stuff released to suggest things are scam is ludicrous.

The team will find the balance between features and timeline they think gives the best chance of success, and if you don't like that you are quite able to go and raise a suggestion which will become a binding IIP if the community and elected council agree.

To be clear I don't have any problem with your proposed approach "Do not release Wave 3 until rewards are up to date, the Dex working and Wallets secure", sounds like a good plan.

But to suggest that if something happens other than the way you decided is the right way is a scam... crazy!

Forcing people to buy disks to maintain a position just so they can earn a backlog of rewards they where already entitled to is not a good move. Maybe it will make just 5 or 10% of the Top 100 leader board feel disenfranchised. My concern is not just about ticking off those people as I also believe anyone thinking of joining and buying disks may see those complaints and could conclude it is a scam instead of just an unfortunate example of incompetence. That perception is absolutely understandable even if it is not the intention of the team nor a true reflection of Beyond. This is why I stress that taking such a risk would be irresponsible. We should fix things so that they work and are fit for purpose before selling them. I don't want to (as a consumer myself) have to write up an IIP just to have things perform and function as advertised. The Dex must work, the Wallets must be safe, the "limited" sale dates must be accurate, the rewards promised must be honoured, and the "product" should be displayed in its best light. That is the right thing to do and the most optimum for getting participation in the future.

I’ve seen nothing but delivery from this team. I’m not going to question their work ethic or ability to perform. From a marketing standpoint pushing out a product when its predecessor hasn’t been finalised has killed trust in other blockchain games previously and there’s no reason if this isn’t handled properly why it won’t start to decay the support for the whole ecosystem if not dealt with appropriately 🙂

Just an update on Beyond: We still don’t have a confirmed date. If we can pull it off, we’ll do a live launch, but it's still up in the air. We have some really cool stuff coming for beyond though, the product is really starting to take shape. I'll try to update everyone early next week. Rest assured — we have not forgotten about beyond.

I transferred some across to test it out. Lot of errors, took way too much time and not enough security for my liking.
They are working on secondary wallet support, so hopefully we can choose to stay using other wallets rather than Passport in the near future.

Ok, here are my thoughts on wave 3, and though I thought it should have been released 6 months ago as planned no reason to beat a dead horse 😉
Things that need to happen before wave 3:
-illuvidex fixed so buying and listing of illuvitars are accurate including buy now button in albums, and highest point illuv in album slot. Also of course disk opening experience needs to be fixed. And any help on the onboarding experience would be helpful.
-start paying automatized Leaderboard rewards asap at 3x and expand leaderboard to 150 spots for wave 3, with the last 50 1/4 ilv..not a lot but something and a reward for those that don't want to bond their illuvs.
-need to have proper incentives for this wave, including airdrop points, and payments of premiums for last two waves (emotes, etc.). Beyond needs to be valued as the asset it is within the ecosystem and this wave promoted.

IMO you guys might not like what I'm about to say but I think we've already got tons of rewards for something that was paused for a very long time.
A much wiser decision for the Beyond ecosystem would be to launch the extra rewards with wave 3 to boost the competitive spirit and hopefully increase the sales volume.

is the zero point traducer upgraded necessary for higher tier blueprints? While I see there are some who have 30 blueprints I have an average of 2. But I only try T4/5 so it might be that, or I figured you need that traducer upgraded. Who cares about Wave 3 now? If they just dumped it on us with everything in its present state it would be a flop. People would only cash in their free disks gained from Wave 2 and that's about it. It would be the lowest selling wave to date... by far. It is way-way-way better to make the wallets safe and test them, get the leader board payouts actually paid and up to date, update the albums and add some clever gamification features into the mix to make it fun, engaging, bring some mystery and surprises. Then leverage the buzz generated from all that to promote it and bring the audience into Beyond and get new people interested in Illuvitars.

Just to update you guys, we haven't forgotten about you and some things have shifted around internally to ensure beyond gets the love it needs which I think is a net positive for everyone. As you know I'm an avid beyond lover too so I couldn't be happier that this is happening and myself even be included in a lot more of the discussions around this to ensure people are taken care of as much as possible. 2 months after the fact fair would be distributing rewards to migrated accounts. if there is a technical issue on migration then write a list those who dont migrate for non technical reasons dont get rewards. if not done like this why migrate if the rewards will be doubled?

Current Situation is different as we don't have enough time to have double rewards and complete distribution before wave 3 launch so only solution is that to take snapshot of top 100 players (assuming enough time given to all lafter secondary wallet support being introduced) and then release all previously pending rewards in one shot and then start wave 3

I bought one of them, the better one 😉 I actually would have bought both if I had seen the other one at that price. There is one seller looking to move Rhamphyre's, so I think that is what we are seeing. Ophisto still has some deals too, so both of the bigger hitters have some sellers trying to free up some cash. I am happy to buy at a large discount and have more offers out, so hopefully more deals happen before w3. Great time to be a buyer!

Yes. I am in the high 20's on the leaderboard. So I have been buying illuvitars I still needed (a lot of w1 rare expressions) for my album. Amazingly this was not an offer, and a stated price for anyone to snipe. In the old days that would have been gone in seconds to bots, but I guess those aren't around anymore. Good for the collectors like me. 🙂

It cost 0.025 eth for a megad1sk and the odds were about 1/350 to get one. Compare that to rhamphies and rhamphyres where you probably need 3-5 stage 3 runs to get any rhamphy. So 40~ runs per rhamphyre? Thats about 150$? Not saying good stats but any rhamphyre. The difference is almost a 50x in investment cost.
And yeah they were only available for 3 months.

And if transfered from land, so no dao interaction, how does the dao make any money on this? I get it would support fuel prices but it would also seem very inflationary for wave 3 illuvitars...I know I will be dumping my fuel here if this happens and not spending any eth. Thanks for when you can respond to this, because I'll start saving my land fuel if this is what you are going to do.

saying the DAO won't make any revenue because of this is just false. Not all landowners are interested in Beyond and not all landowners focus on selling fuel, I would say the majority right now are going for BPs since fuel price is so low. In fact based on the on chain data only 1,075 wallets have sold fuel so far.

and then saying illuvitars are no longer rare assets and their value will drop towards zero is just wrong. Previous waves rarity won't be affected at all so I don't get how you can generalize like that. And more than that, it is to be expected that all new waves will have higher supply due to the gradual increase of Illuvium's player base.
