Yeah Im not sure if there are any ideas or plans for this. If we get more adoption and ETH gas fees increase because of the network being used a lot it will be hopeless for new comers. If I want to buy one standard disk it should cost me the price of the disk just to transfer the ETH . I would love to hear the team talk about if they are concern about it or its not going to cause any real impact on adoption.

For example I purchase ETH through marketplace lets say Binance and transfer to my wallet there is gas fees. I then want to exchange that ETH to SILV2 more gas fees on Uniswap. I then want to transfer that SILV2 into IMX wallet there is another hit on gas fees. It could cost over $10 in gas

Meaning if you sign the transaction to open the D1SKs and then just abandon the battle? It will still count toward both Illuvium and BITB leaderboards. It’s not very nice for your opponent because they end up with you just timing out and don’t get to actually watch theirs. We’re adding a feature in the next few releases to do multi-D1SK solo opening to allow that. At the moment we’d prefer if people stay and battle each other just out of courtesy even though it’s unenforceable. Let’s say it’s for the culture

someone just pulled an Ophisto on a standard disk playing that game...that would make it worth it plus any benefits from the eth lizs. I also have seen secondary prices, including accessories, take quite a jump, so disks may be the way to go, at least in the short run. Plus you get the free disk bonuses for wave 3.

Then I spotted bargains, and as a bargain shopper, how could I resist...now most of my crypto investments are in beyond, and honestly, I have no regrets. A lot nice to look at then a cold wallet 🙂
And if Raoul Pal is right, when eth goes up next bull nfts priced in eth may go up multiples...we shall see.
Imagine if the games available expands further some day...even the excitement around the eth lizards project is amazing. And perhaps spill over from the whole ecosystem taking off.....

I agree. Illivium is what drew me into the crypto space and I consider myself kind of the target demographic. Not a big crypto investor. I don't actually know much about it in the long run of things I guess. But I have my little pieces of Illuvium because in 30 years when this thing is still around and a phenomenon like Pokemon is today I can be like "yeah, yeah that's a Wave 1 Alpha stamp. Yeah, we offer spectator mode already. We'll be adding chat and emoji functionality (for battlers and the audience) in a future build to make it a bit more interactive as well but it's designed to let you spectate. For now it makes sense to just talk shit in discord (just like is happening in this channel ) but eventually that will move to be fully integrated in the platform.

Ya love to see the sILV2 fix in place too - I think my sILV2 backup fund for open beta is now being repurposed for beyond as well

For BitB: good = big numbers, very roughly in a standard 1k+ is good, 2k + is good in a mega.
For album: good = best in slot ... so holo, rare expressions, higher tier backgrounds. A Holo Rare Expression Archeleon is 'better' than a basic Common expression Umbra for example.
For value: good = combination of rarity, desirabiility. IlluvilalMaster is a good site for getting some idea of value and rarity.

This is correct. You can open 1, 3 or 5 and no impact to how any leaderboards are calculated. The only impact would be more or fewer battles for win/loss record but we treat that as a vanity metric at the moment. Totally get why some would rather have more battles and also why some would rather more D1SKs at a time. We don’t want to de-incentivize either approach.

LizPass gets you on the standard and/or mega leaderboard. We designed it to be valuable even if you're opening a single D1SK with a good score.
Everyone with a LizPass gets a lore NFT and the top 100 get prizes for placement.

The free leaderboard gives you points for each D1SK you open (1 for standard and 6 for Mega). Those points at the end of the Season determines your final rank. The Standard and Mega leaderboard activate when you buy the corresponding LizPass. Any D1SK of that type that you open the score is calculated. You take the highest single power D1SK that you open all season and that is your rank. So if you open a single 5K Mega D1SK then you would move to the top of the Mega Leaderboard.

It’s been a team effort. The cool part is that it shows the DAO and Web3 in action. When @static patio was a community member he suggested the idea of D1SK battling. The Illuvium team picked up and ran with it for Wave 1 but it was a no-tech solution so the experience was interesting but not great. With the beauty of Web3 assets being visible on the blockchain, Ethlizards was able to propose an agreement that has revenue sharing with Illuvium that creates a new experience for Beyond players. Its wins all the way around for Beyond players-ILV Team-Ethlizards partner-ILV holders.

have you started to sleeve them? Holos are probably a good thing to be collecting, and when bonded often are the higher points on the leaderboard; but make sure you are careful buying already bonded: the cost should be less than the unbonded plus the price of the accessories separately.

Hello. I’m currently trying to accept an offer but keep getting a failed transaction. Is there a chance the person offering no longer has the eth available?

It's the blockchain, you have to sign the transaction when you create the offer, no one else has the right to negate that offer unless you do it

I believe it may be technically possible though - on OpenSea, your offer gets removed if you don't have enough WETH to cover it.

However this may be due to the distinction between functionality of WETH vs ETH. Only IMX or ILV team would be able to confirm for sure.

You are right, I guess it could be possible to bake something in the smart contract you sign at the beginning that checks for funds on the wallet and removes it if it's not there. Would be great if they could build this in the future
