Ensure that you dont try displaying an Alpha print though. We passed an ICCP-8 a little while ago to add the alpha stamp onto the diskplates. Im not sure whether they are on there now already. So maybe choose a regular one. Non-alpha.

I just posted this in the feedback form but thought I'd stick it here too: Disk plate royalties. As someone with a limited number of Illuvitars I find myself wanting disk plates of illuvitars that I do not own like Ramphyre, goliant, etc... Since I can't afford to buy them I would like to see an option where I could pay the owner of an an Illuvitar some kind of royalty fee so I could print one of their Illuvitars on my own disk plate. For instance someone with the rarest hollow ramphyre may have an opportunity to sell a lot of that particular disk plate for a royalty fee. I think this would also increase the value of the Illuvitar itself having this extra revenue stream. Owners of highly sought after Illuvitars could have limited disk plate sales of say 10,20, or 50 disk plates of their rarest Illuvitar. Or they could simply just list a flat royalty fee for anyone that wants to have a disk plate of that specific Illuvitar. Anyway, something like this built into the Illuvidex where you could simply click on an option to offer your illuvitars in disk plate form or an option for an interested party to make an offer for a disk plate similar to offers to buy an Illuvitar would be cool I think.

I am a little disappointed with this promo disk... just to give you an idea, the average salary in my country is $487. So, in order to buy 5 discs, I have to pay $250. I struggled to buy 3 discs where I paid $160 (including taxes), thinking that the price would be around $20-30 per nft. But for it to drop so much and so low... I know you shouldn't spend money you can't afford to lose, but it's about the experience. It doesn't give me pleasure to open them anymore, and the pleasure of participating in future sales . I don't say this with spite, but constructively, please consider those who can't afford it. Or if you are targeting a certain audience with money, then it's different, and I apologize for this message. Honestly, I don't think I will participate in future disc sales... I will buy Illuvitars from the secondary market instead.

I'll be advocating and voicing my opinion in halving the cost of standard disks when we get to that discussion. A pokemon pack of cards is less than 4$, there is no need for us to charge more than that.

Maybe I see things differently... but now I'll ask you... why would you "bet" $50 with a high chance of winning only $6? If the prices of NFTs were high and remained around $20, and then dropped to $6 after a month, the situation would make some sense. Think about how someone with limited knowledge of web3 would feel... it's just my opinion, I'm referring to my own experience... When checking out Illuvitars there is an inside border with bigger border-radius then the image, so it makes it look really weird with line going on the inside of every corner...

The problem is you cant create value out of nothing... lets say the 20k disks get sold, thats 1mio dollar invested, you think the illuvitars out of these 1mio will automatically be worth 2mio? No, it should split up the 1mio maybe into each tier equally, so 166k per tier. Which means higher tiers are worth significantly more and lower tier way less... sure they could have tweaked the rates a bit or added a few others into the mix but the concept stays the same, the lower tiers need to be worth less than what a disk costs otherwise you would just print money, and sure to an extend that may as well also happen but just because no one can 100% say what is worth how much

Unfortunately, the answer is: you don't have to bet $50. You did that out of free will, in the hopes of pulling something rare. Like every other gatcha buyer ever. Since you did not hit the good stuff, you now feel buyers remorse. It's natural. You could have just opted to save the money, wait until the $6 illuvitars hit the market and buy one. Could have bought a full ILV token from the rest. The game offers many ways to invest for everyone, with different budgets. There are many items I would love to buy but can't afford them. So I buy the ones I can afford. If you have a lower budget, you can play the market, sniping and reselling for good profit, then invest the profit back into more valuable items you could not buy before. Once the main game opens, there will be even more opportunities.

In my opinion it could be a nice feature to have a skin interwoven with a illuvitar/illuvial if you hold both of them. If they are combined its not on top of it. What if you took the imx gaming rewards from the illuvitars over to a spin the wheel. a slice for each illuvitar group.

Whatever it lands on a wallet/bot will then automatically buy the floor of that particular illuvitar group until the rewards are used up.

The wallet address that buys these floors holds all these iluvitars then randomly burns them which creates dust which is distributed to the most active players.

The other bonus with burning is, obviously eventually its holders who need them to complete sets or a higher floor because of scarcity.

in addition the spin the wheel you could have multi waves with highest % of the pie going to the older waves.

The team mentioned in multiple AMA's that they wanted to add certain rewards to people who complete Illuvitar collections. They talked about a potential battle board skin, or early access to future beta's but ónly if you hold onto that Collection. If you sell an Illuvitar, you would lose access to that bonus (you don't sell the skin, you just lose access).
Another idea was to allow access to like a tournament if you held onto certain collections or such.
You could search for messages from Rogier with the word "Collection" and it will show you a number of cool ideas such as:

So, basically the interoperability has always been there, and Illuvitars is more than 'just a PFP' or something to get onto the leaderboard with. But the specifics have not been shared of what you would get and how it would work.

I think you are judging illuvitars too fast. First, there will be spillover from those other games, since everyone will have an illuvitar as a pfp. Second, this is just the first iteration of Beyond, so much more is coming with incentives for collectors, this will grow much bigger

There will be free choices so you don't have to spend out of the bat but if someone gets hooked on the game, how long before they will want their own pfp? Not long, imo. For this reason, I have already bought many cheap but great looking ones from the market. I hold over 50 holo lynxes, for example. They are beautiful and dirt cheap right now.

I think it's a mistake to push wave 2 out when the market is down and demand is low.
I think it should be pushed back until after the release of open beta and we have some organic demand.
Couple this with better pull rates and cheaper disks and I think things can get back on track.
Flooding a thin market with yet another wave is not a good idea.

I think it's a valid thought - from my time in Topshot once you hit the point where the supply / demand is out of whack things can go bad really fast if more and more supply keep coming in, especially because in bear markets if the supply increases are met with an exodus of buyers than the problem accelerates.

I completely understand where you are coming from as I was thinking along the same lines, I just don't believe it works for the best interest of the project.

Pushing the wave back would give more time to focus on launching the other games as well as having time to reflect on all of the shortcomings and missed opportunities from the first 2 waves (classing promos as a wave).

• General sentiment is we should have a delay (5-8ish weeks, TBC)
• This is a Live Product in Web3/Crypto and we do want to maintain momentum.

We had a few new team members join the Backend Team as well as an awesome Blockchain Lead in Chris join in the last 2 months.

The Arena PvP backend should be complete in the next 2-weeks, with client integration taking another 2-3 weeks thereafter.

This is GameDev and anything can happen, but as it exists right now it's been smooth sailing.

WRT Wave 1 IMHO I think with Rhamphyre being the sought after "Charizard" of illuvium. I really think the release should have been to go with Rhamphy first, Rhamphite second and the Boss last. Charizard become sought after as there was interest in the behemoth for those who started out with starter Pokémon Charmander. The evolution made it exciting to nab a Charizard, and even if the meekest of kids managed to snag one they would reign supreme in the school yard. Rhamphyre should have been part of the last wave... to build up anticipation....Could have just pushed the Axolotl(Pikachu) line as wave 1. Oh well such is life....

I don't know if there is an official public document or diagram saying how the points work, but its pretty simple:

Each Illuvitar has a power (base power + accessory boosts).

A Collection has slots which are filled with Illuvitars. When you slot one the power of that Illuvitar is added to the collection points for that collection.

Another way to say this the points total for a collection is the sum of the power of the Illuvitars you have slotted in to that collection.

When you complete a collection you get an additional bonus of 250 points (to be confirmed).

The Album is made up of all your collections. The points total for the Album (and thus leaderboard) is the sum of the points from all your collections.

I think its clear that a number of errors were made in this sale. One that hasn't been discussed much is that we were working with a partner that had strict NDA conditions which meant we couldn't share a lot of information.

I'd like to see us be stronger with our terms with our partners so that the community can be more aware of what is going in to a decision.

I'm not a marketing guy but I really don't that it helped anything that the partnership was 'secret' until the last minute.

I do believe this to be a factor, absolutely, amongst a number of other factors, the state of the market etc, but I think overall, the largest contributing factor to the disks not selling out was the lack of value provided.
Once people were made aware of the drop rates, enthusiasm plummeted. People knew that they was shelling out $50 to get $7 in return, 80% of the time.
Also when you see 8000 disks opened (approx) and you can count the number of Tier 3+ holos on one hand. Where is the incentive for anyone to try. It's not that the odds are stacked against you, they are near impossible.
It's a collector game where no single person can hope to complete the collection. This strategy needs a serious rethink.

But quite a few actions and decisions were taken for reasons that can't be shared. It is frustrating.

Collection and Milestone Bonuses scale with difficulty to complete. Roughly they are based on the points value for a base Illuvitar that can fill each of the slots required for it.

The largest are Set collections which are 10,000+. I believe completing Set 1 gives you 18,150 points.

Honestly I don't know if that's been decided yet. But if so the set would probably be smaller. I don't think it's feasible to suddenly double the number of accessories we need to do. We'd also need to add all those new accessories to the entire first set (under the current rules). I would hope we'd phase out some and replace those, but keep some the same to make it manageable. Pure speculation though!

That's not really an issue as their use-case is to be burnt alongside each wave. after opening ~160K disks, we are left with roughly:
150 T5 S1,
50 T5 S2,
20 T5 S3
of each accessory.

This or 2X this, probably will be the end state of the next wave as well as the droprates will be similar and the bonding rate has no reason of slowing down. the amount may go down even, because unbonded Illuvitars of wave 1 may get distributed over future Illuvitar players and more of these expensive accessories will get used.

Why do you automatically assume it was picked up by a bot? I have picked up many great deals since the market is live and I'm no bot 🙂 I think it's just whoever refreshes and sees it first, an item like that is probably only there for a few seconds, anyone with a balance to pay for it would buy it

You could be right. I just remember that after the drop I spent hours with 4-5 windows open (filter on different settings in each) and refreshing them frequently, picking up many mispriced items. If there was a bot back then, it was pretty shitty cause I beat it many times

I'm pondering if the big Illuvitar buyers who don't believe in bonding them are making a mistake. If they are not bonding for asethetic reasons, I get it. If they think that ten years from now an unbonded will be worth a lot more money than now, I hope so, yet, I bet being on the leaderboard now and collecting thousands in $ of ILV at this price will probably be worth a lot more also, and more liquid. I'd bet on ILV personally vs an individual Illuvitar. (and you can always buy a bonded one cheap on Illuvidex to fill a sleeve and keep your rare one untouched)
