btw @queen totem the idea on Shabim's Screenshot is very valid: Flare acts as a sacrifice to protect his own ryplance from getting poisoned by the opposing one, Ryplance is usually a very good option against comps relying on heal. Scoriox is here to make a ton of damage and kill stuff quicker

Ranger is there to save time against Vermiliare while Kukka's Tornado will redirect Scoriox's attacks to it making sure you kill Vermiliare before if becomes a real problem

The ranger with Airshield is usually good to buy you time against Vermiliare as long as you have at least one other unit focusing it. If you manage to have Ranger + another unit focusing vermiliare while Vermiliare is focusing your Ranger, you will interrupt his omega buying you usually enough time to be able to kill it.

Situationally i know you can also use Archeleon but that's very situational, if the timing goes right you win, if don't you lose. but the idea is to make sure Archeleon gets Hyper thanks to Vermiliare (meaning it needs to have no other rogues around) allowing Archeleon to heal himself faster and negate the bonus damage from the critical hits. This way he's able to tank Vermiliare almost forever

They already have their favourites and if they see it in the deck they will wanna use it every time haha. But actually pretty good with some basic tactics as well as understanding synergies and alike.

ok, i found it in my vod. lemme see. 14 is definitely tricky. I found that the best way to go about it is to go for a middle push unto the Rypterus, simultaneously pulling kuka away from protecting phyriox form your rogue/rogues. As distractions for umbre and vermi s2, people have different opinions. I find that adorius (near the middle to assist the middle with his heavy autoattack) works perfectly fine for umbre, and the ranger can eat 2-3 or even 4 omegas from vermi s2 if healed with adorius in a timely fashion. I hpoe that helpes somewhat without saying too much of what to do and what to place

we are not in Pokémon and it's not Weaknesses or Strengths. Indeed you don't hit a Fire illuvial stronger with a water than with a Nature. All it does is make your Hyper charge faster, And once your Hyper is full you get some bonuses depending on your class

titanor is positioned like this to avoid getting % damage from ryplance and sear, he ends up hyper fast and that hp regen is a valuable asset. Dualeph is placed like this because he will be raying everybody down, hitting at least 4 people, killing the TNT. ranger goes down, which is why she is there, while phyriox dies fast to rake, kuka catching ryplance as he is walking up. It work really well, what is there to rant about?

I was putting more value in Titanor hyper with sear + phyriox + ryplance (=+6), as the axodon will die fast. But with the trashbird + the double granite it does +6 too.
But i will anyway prefer to take the left damage on titanor instead of ranger ;).

Granite vs Steam = Earth vs Fire x2 (+4) + Earth vs Water x2 (-4) = 0.

Has anyone had issues with Seeforus ulting getting cancelled? (I rewatched my recording and it failed to ult twice and there were no crowd control issues). Not sure if I should report it as a bug yet or if Im missing something

😂 welcome to my nightmare, yes that bug has been there since day1 and it's so hard to fix that they're re-coding the whole targetting system to fix it.

the bug is actually deterministic tho. if at the moment Seeforus/Teeantee initiate their cast their actual focus (the one from the auto-attacks) dies or becomes untargettable somehow, the bug occurs, you lose all your energy but don't do any damage.

this bug applies actually to a lot of units and not only Snails tho, ie: if the unit your Ramphyre was attacking dies while you are in the air your Ramphyre will just come back down instantly without doing any damage

For auto attacks
if the primary class of the illuvial (the one he has as a stage1) is: Empath or Psion
Auto-attacks are energy Damage

Otherwise they're physical.

For Omegas, the kind of damage they deal is written on their description.

yea, seaforus cancels his omega not only when his main target goes out of focusin anyway, even if other illuvials die around him he does it, sometimes he doesnt do it when umbres and rakes go untargetable as well. he is just bug city

Sometime there is a visual bug where when seephorus begin the cast, he turn his face against another unit, but it's still the focus that he was hitting that is "THE focus" that don't have to die or disappear. For the point about Ramphyre, all depend if the rocket have been launch just before he jump, as malura. If the rocket are in the air before it cast, he will be hit.
I NEVER saw that seephorus spell is uncast because of one of the 4 other focus.

Another point. I got a video from yesterday where my Titanor launch his spell, It stun but do 0 damage. Someone already saw this ?.

No, I watched like 20 times the moment, No shield reason, no untargetable reason. I see the "STUN" in blue appear, but HP bar don't move on 2 units.

Titanor didn't die during "launching" it, but perhaps during the travel of the spell. I have to check this.
But if the spell is able to stun, it should be able to DPS too.

Check is there was a Kukkoulous or Adorius healing the targets at exactly the same frame. This gives the optical illusion that you dealt no damage but in fact the shield / heal took the damage

Everyday you get a different 20 illuvials of the current 45 available at deck reset. PB2 will add the lynx line variations plus all the variations of the tier 0 illuvials which totals around 75 more illuvials. So we will have well over 100 different units to play with, plus quite a few different mechanics they are introducing into the system which will change up the game in a huge way.

vermillia seems enough to kill the scoriox 9 out of 10 times, i would just find somebody to tank his auto attacks in the meanwhile. And find a way to take out the incoming rogues. I find that ryplance, sear, ranger and a kuka seems to be handling that well, your job is to find how to place them. I dunno how to give a tip btw but i hoped that helped

Just played my first day of PB1 and I must say this might be very easy to get addicted to 😉
Cleared wave 14 before it got too hard for me; looking forward to trying more tomorrow.

Ye for sure, some days the deck you have is stronger and enemy waves much weaker... it varies a lot! I'd say today's deck was medium to slightly strong, and enemy waves pretty strong

generally, if no one (or just 1 person) gets to wave 30 then the waved are pretty tough

Some decks are stronger than others depending on the day, and that varies a lot. It’s still engaging every time though, especially considering there’s such a limited amount of illuvials in pb1 it’s testament to the quality of game we’re gonna have in the future.
I think wave 30 is theoretically possible every reset, and generally someone manages to attain it, but there are the few days where the most top players will get to is the late 20’s
We had issues today and I’m pretty sure yesterday, where some of the late teen / early 20’s waves were harder than the ones after, but still didn’t quite manage to hit 30.
Pb2 is going to be a major deal, and everyone’s just looking forward to that at this stage.
Last real chance to get a good grounding of the game in this first beta before a whole lot more is added soon👍🏼

you can still do it with "ASWD"

Do you have any GPU temperature monitoring program or such?
I'd be interested to know if it could have anything to do with the GPU overheating.
Now I've only had the PB for a day so maybe I'll start crashing sooner or later but so far no crashes. My experience as a gamer and a VR developer is that when Unreal Engine projects crashes for some ppl but not for others, it often has to do with overheating, which could be extra relevant in a beta where things are not optimized yet.

You could perhaps try something like MSI Afterburner, which both monitors the temperature and also allows you to over/underclock the GPU for more stability. I've used it for a long time and think it can help quite a bit.

No, it's still a very decent card and tbh I can't see why the PB1 should be very taxing. OFC Ray Tracing and the hair takes quite a bit of power, but at least at the current stage of development and the survival mode I don't think they really contribute much to the overall look anyway so I turned them off even though I use a 2080Ti.

Yeah it doesn't have any problems, but the thing is that it actually looks a bit worse with ray tracing atm, the feathers and some hair look kind of grainy and flickery which is an artifact of some of the ray tracing settings. I would imagine that when this project is finished, only some of the ray tracing options should be activated, there's really no use for every ray tracing function in a game like this anyway, and fortunately Unreal Engine allows the developer to just activate the ray tracing functions they need.

Yeah. I've worked on projects (I'm a VR developer, using Unreal Engine 4/5) where one particular model or material made the system crash, or a very particular combination of model, material and particle system. Pretty frustrating until you find out what it is 😉
