Some people have families & or important unplanned things going on and there are times we have to just leave game at times. Having a -30 (sometimes more) for having to leave and not being able to commit a 40 minute game is very frustrating.

Adding a "broker" option to negotiate or get a quote for a "how much minus points based on the game round & your current gold" is a good way to make it a bit more fair for the busy daddies out there who also want to enjoy the game.

Whenever I play in tournament matches, during some rounds towards the end (R25+) I am getting crazy ping spikes where I accidentally rolled multiple times or clicked on XP too often because of lag. i have 1 question, and i think about it again and again:
if it's no prize pull for qualification tournament, but it's prize for winner voting, this can be manipulated so hard.
let's say 6 players from 1 guild got into final of 1st tournament, then they choice underdog, and with all guild/choicen people for vote - voting for him.
after every participant in tournament start give in to this person, so this fake vote can win.
or participant of tournament vote for good player, but he got 1st place by himself after 1st 2 games, so he start give-up win to his candidate, so his voting will work

so, my question - is it any rules against situation like this?

At first glance, the tournament format looks a bit strange. But only at first glance.

We have qualifiers — to get into the qualifiers in order to qualify for the tournament itself. But if you dig a little deeper, the idea isn’t bad. A small sum of money is spread out over an entire month, giving Leviathan players the illusion of activity.

In reality, one month of work in Leviathan is compensated roughly like one week in F2P. Leviathan players will feel useful, feel like attention is being given to them. But in truth, this tournament series is an incredibly useful tool. Its essence is “prevent FUD creation with minimal financial outlay.” Most people won’t look that deeply, so it works perfectly.

The only thing I would change is to split the $7,000 across all four tournaments, with emphasis on the fourth, final tournament. Otherwise, you might get some minor FUD from the top 17–20 players, who after a month of effort earn $0 while spending hundreds or thousands on their decks. If they were allowed even a small taste of money (say, $20), they’d be happier.

The strategist-puppeteer-economist behind all of this is truly a very smart person. But don’t forget about weaker decks and low-skill players — then your plan will have no flaws at all.

1. Remove the 100 ILV from the voting. Less FUD, and honestly, it’s a mostly useless feature.
2. Reduce the prize pool for the final from $7,000 to $3,000.
3. Redistribute the funds gained (100 ILV + $4,000 = $5,200) across the three earlier tournaments.

In total:

• Prediction prize pool: 0 ILV
• Prize pool for the first tournament: around $1,400
• Prize pool for the second tournament: around $1,400
• Prize pool for the third tournament: around $1,400
• Prize pool for the final tournament: $3,000

Pros:

1. Reduces FUD from rigged matches via the 100 ILV voting.
2. Increases engagement from casual and mid-level players, giving them more chances to touch real money (TOP 16).

Cons:

1. Will likely create FUD among those who already planned rigged matches (style of play, appearing natural when throwing games, backup communication channels).

For example roullete you pretty much have 50%chance for black and red, nonethless there could be 50 times black being rolled.

I think in other autobattlers there's actually a hidden pitty counter implemented.
Basically odds for units increase slightly to appear in the shop with every roll if they didn't appear, to counter what wild stuff we sometimes experience here.

My sincerity opinion, it’s cool to see biggest tournaments in checkmate format, the audience stays excited for all games and force the winner to finish the series with a win. Because I came from moba and tcg where you dont have another option than win the game this sounds better for me. But for minor tournaments for sure a bo5 or something like it is more fair for the players consistency.
The actual system is good for me, wc and ipl1000 checkmate and 500 + 250 bo’s

What I want to know how it’s going to work is the swiss mode, in magic, players are paired against other players with the same amount of points, so winners against winners and losers against losers, how this should work in auto battler?

Hey, it would be cool if we had an estimated date for the patches

It's bad for the game when a new patch comes out of nowhere, especially a big one that's going to change a lot of things. We could also create more content based on that, like patch analysis and meta previews (something common in TFT a day before patches come out)

Knowing when the patch might come out would also attract more people to the testnet to prepare for tournaments. I, at least, would spend more time there than in ranked games if I knew the weekend tournament would be played on a new patch

Swiss mode depends on sample size (amount of games played).

If there are a lot of games played, it’s best to use classic Swiss and have winners play winners, etc.
But if there’s a lower amount of games, that could lead to losing players having an easy route to the top 50% if they win their first games and then get easier lobbies later on. This means someone losing early and then winning in the loser bracket could sneak in over someone winning early and then losing in the winner bracket. So, I think with only six games, we’ll either do it randomly or use a snake draft.

In 1v1 is kinda hard to avoid hard matches in swiss no matter the circumstances, but if we think for illuvium we can do something similar, for example 8 lobbies of 8, in the second match all the 1st places play against, then second… in the 3rd round the player who won in the top8’s match is going to play against the player who lose the top1’s match, this is not okay for the balance?

I have no experience in this mode playing auto battler so just delivering an opinion 😂

I have a couple of suggestions that might help make the Worlds smoother

1. Add a Snake Seeding system during the Swiss stages
   → Re-shuffle the lobbies every 2 games based on current standings to prevent the same players from facing each other repeatedly and to improve overall competitive balance.

2. Make the Swiss Stage eliminations more gradual
   → Instead of cutting directly from 64 → 32 → 16, consider a smoother progression such as 64 → 40 → 24 → 16.
   This creates intermediate checkpoints and helps reduce the impact of variance

I 100% agree with your first point.

The second point I am not sure, as we cannot increase the number of games.
So we would have to go from 6 games swiss 64->32 down to something like after every 3 games drop 16 players, which might even increase variance

And the 32->16 cut is the result of the combined score of 12 games, so definitely big enough sample size there

I will double check the math but yes the idea here is that the sample size is big at this point and scores have carried over, however the bottom players should still be able to get into grand finals if they perform well in the 4 games on day3.

Example, bottom 4 of the top 16 semi finals place well in the first 2 games, that means they get out of bot 4 and are somewhere between 5th and 12th. These remaining 8 players 5th->12th play a final 2 games and top 4 move on. And again the the bot 4 in this lobby should be able to get to top4 if things go well.

My idea is to keep the exact same total number of games, just make the cuts more gradual.

For example: after Day 1 (64 → 40), Day 2 could still be 6 games but cut the bottom 8 every 2 games — 40→32→24→16. That way, it stays 12 games total, but lobbies stay more competitive since players who are too far behind get eliminated earlier, and no one plays the last rounds with zero chance to qualify

Cool! Yes, my reference is the TFT method. You can feel the difference in the lobbies when the cuts are gradual, and you also give 8 people a better chance of not being cut on day 1 and having a better day 2 🙂
