I don't think so. There is a lot of stuff that is still scuffed in testnet, so the patch is a bit rushed out in my opinion. 99% of the people playing won't even have close to the time they need to do everything in certain rounds if it wasn't changed when they shipped it.

Well, it's probably an emotional reaction because they feel like they have to do something because of the people complaining about the current patch and the rising queue times. There's also the pressure of a rank reset, as if it's magically going to fix the core problems. It's not the first time decisions have been made from a short-sighted perspective, only for new issues to appear a few days later. But some people will be happy with the short-term aspect, at least 😅

Interesting to see team comments on smurf accounts. TOS clearly says we ARE allowed to play multiple accounts, provided we wait 24 hours between using them. A player could play their 15 games Friday-Sunday, take 24 hours off, practice on their 2nd account from Tuesday and be within the TOS rules.

To be clear, I do not have a smurf but I did advise my ex that she can open a second account for practice, based on the TOS. I'm loving the latest build though. It allows for so much more creativity. I also prefer this build without the carousel. The carousel adds little to no value to my experience. I can see it quickly becoming more of an annoyance than something that adds value to the game.

In TFT there's best in slot items that make getting specific components essential. Gauntlet isn't setup with that same reliance on specific items. Least not yet anyway. So going first on the carousel is nice but it's significantly less impactful than it is in TFT.

Bis items are nice, but units can also be good with non bis items and that you can get s2/s3 illuvials makes carrousel in my opinion way more impactful.

It would be fitting considering that Illuvium's visual identity is mainly blue/purple and the best players will be blue/purple

In chess I can see how much rating I win or lose on average when facing opponents of lower strength, similar strength or higher strength
That's how I found out that I was mostly losing points against weaker opponents probably because I had the tendency to underestimate them and let my guard down

So this data was useful to me because it made me change my behavior and I started only looking for stronger opponents

Another idea would be to have stats based on region, maybe some people will perform better and Brightland Steppes because they prefer slow games while others will be better in Crimson Waste

I had the tendency to have poor performance in tournaments, lower than you could expect based on my ranked stats so in Illuvium it was the exact opposite
