in some rounds the winner loses HP - happened in my games a few times, both when I won and when I lost the round
joining after i delete if there's spots

This may just be a coincidence, but the synergy between rogue7 and revenant is too strong, so it may be a good idea to adjust the balance sooner.
The effect of rogue7 makes revenant's(TiiRuo) critical chance 89%, so the shield and spread damage are too strong.
Also, it's easier to get the maximum critical chance of 64% than it was with rogue9. At that time, the 7 rogues will have a critical chance of 89%.
It may be too strong.

Hey, the refined version of Gauntlet is not for end of April. It's more like End of Q2. However, on early May and early June big updates will be coming as well.

- Empath: Attack Speed and Attack Damage bonus (special ability) reduced from 40% → 20%.
Illuvials
- Ti'Ru, Tii'Ruo, Tibi'Rukko: Damage on Takedown reduced from 80/100/120 → 15/25/40.
- Fixed an issue where Ti'Ru, Tii'Ruo, and Tibi'Rukko had incorrect takedown damage calculations.
Drone Augment Adjustments
- Champion's Focus: Attack Speed and Omega Power reduced from 20/35/50% → 15/25/35%.
- Veteran's Might: Attack Damage reduced from 20/35/50% → 10/20/30%.

u know how on previous live patch caradulox was living for like a minute a round? now he lives 3-5 seconds, i'd like to see what happens if tanks are actually useful before any huge overhauls
We are done with overhauls. Now we will iterate from here until reaching proper balance. It's true that tanks need a bit more survivavility.

It's definitely an issue where the damage compared to the HP is not well balanced. Rogues just happen to scale very well in a scenario like that.

Something I haven't enjoyed since we started doing it is trying to shorten match times @worn tree.
I don't think there's a strong sentiment among TFT players that spending 45 minutes on a win is too long. If there had been significant room to cut match length, Riot probably would've done it over the past five years.
I think we should cut them some slack and avoid thinking we can substantially improve something that relies on core underlying principles, like round duration.
Running out of time when it feels like I shouldn't, having no positioning time left after spending it all on augment choices, or fights becoming rushed due to increased overall damage—these trade-offs aren't worth saving a few extra minutes, in my opinion.
my biggest gripe with this is we have dead time we could've cut instead and saved minutes with no balance changes
at start of every game i have problem to load into game.
like when start loading screen appears - i have freez game/lags.
1 of 2 games im load into lobby. but at 2nd - i have restart client. sometimes i have button reconnect. sometimes have just click find new game.

besides PvE rounds, which are supposed to become an experience itself later down the line with Leviathan battles for example, do you see any other areas where we could easily cut time?

yes time in between the rounds was 60 seconds on previous live after like round 20
and if you tuned down wildfire and earth the game should've been shorter too, average round time for fire comp was barely like 10-20 seconds, even vs those 2 comps

@worn tree maybe something that has not been mentioned much yet, but I think is a huge deal.
All the timers, be it round starting in 1 Second, or Augment selection time is over in 1 Second should count until -1 before they are done. LoL and TFT do it that way so I think a lot of our audience might be used to that. It feels so bad missing the timer because you thought had a full second left after it went to 0.
I don't like that the 7/9/10 thresholds are all reachable without emblems, these should be things you see once in a blue moon not forceable every game imo

Most of them are, especially the Composites. For Primaries it's a bit more complex since we have a lot of units in each of them.

What is the "Light" and "Dark" state?
Allied Unit only, we should probably add that for clarity.
Units there are mostly used to see the whole line, but yeah having a highlight here could help too, noting it down.
To see the stage, you have to look at the top of the card for the "stage" indicator.
But as you play you'll notice that it is easy to tell from synergies alone.
It's all there, I'll exemplify a battle to explain. Let's say a unit has this augment equipped:
- First 5 seconds of the battle, the unit is in Light State - meaning that its allies gain 50% AD and OP.
- Next 5 seconds of the battle, the unit turns off its Light State and enters Dark State - it doesn't give 50% AD and OP anymore, but now enemies lose 50% AS and Resistances.
- Next 5 seconds, the unit is no longer in Dark State, goes back to Light State - enemies gain back their AS and Resistances lost while the unit was in Dark State, and allies gain 50% AD and OP from Light State
- and so on for the whole battle while the unit holding the augment is alive

It should always take the 'best' Illuvial. If you own and play two copies of the same Illuvial, the first should be the best, followed by the second best.

So basically if someone has a 100% rhamphyre, it can be used by someone else because they were able to get to rhamphyre first?
If you don't own an Illuvial, you can find a free copy of it.
Level 1, no additional stats.
You'll gain the advantage from its class and affinity.
Each player uses their own deck. If the deck is incomplete, the empty slots are filled with free, weak copies.
So the shop always consists of owned illuvials + missing free ones I see

If you don't have certain Illuvials, they will be replaced with free copies at level 1 with no additional stats. So you have enough to run a test.
Even less time to put anything down on arena? How are people supposed to learn/ play the game? I understand the old players want faster but not everyone knows how to play players need to learn first.

It is more random because the high damage compared to HP. The rounds are also so fast that it can be harder to follow and have enough time to feel emotionally what's happening.

I would be really happy if they just reverted this entire overhaul. The game was good before; it just needed improvements to traits, balance, and other small things. This update has put the game in a much harder place to fix and balance

Bulwarks for sure need some improvements. Way too squishy to be a tank. I had goliant which is supposed to be the best tank with 9 earth and defensive augment and it almost got one shot by a verminio
the fight speed overall is way too fast to the point where u can't tell what's happening and if you pick any augment that says after x sec you grief yourself. Also game has actual 0 clarity you legit can't tell why anything happens the way it does and what you're supposed to do
Maybe I keep repeating myself but I still feel like the game was almost perfect already with the initial arena launch where we had bloom arcanite and so on. Maybe it would make sense to check how it was done there and reiterate from there

@sinful hornet is right it s not easy/funn to play this game .. iff you dont know what is happening. How about doing a speed choice before starting the game? So if players that are experienced can play at their speed and newbs can do that to?

me as a casual player, i like many changes that came with last couple patches.
What I (again as a casual) would like to see changed/improved is:
- Bring back some HP, fights really are to fast now, tanks with 2 tank augments get 2 shoted which shouldn't be the case
- Make heal great again. My jokul (without omnivamp augments) easely outhealed my fludd (maybe would improve to some extend with bringing some hp back, but i feel not enough)
- Decrease attack range of range Illuvials so corner comps are easier to counter. (currently if i take everything in backline, they don't really move forward cause they can shoot almost across the whole board)
- Some balancing in general (especially drone augments (i feel there's way more "cool" drone augments for melee's than for psions/empaths))
- Rebalance the tiers, but especially Drastically decrease battle power of T0, they should fall of pretty quickly imo (It shouldn't be possible to carry your board with half t0 to late midgame or even endgame)
- (Change root from turtle or its energy gain... my 5 fighters were kept in root for the whole fight and didn't do a single dmg (maybe a bug idk, but having 1 good placed illuvial to outplay an entire class feels wrong))
- UI: bring back the drop-chance table to where it was before and shrink the whole UI by a couple% to make some free space which could feel more pleasant to look at (Like to the extend where the T0-table wouldn't overlap with the classes/affinity UI)

im also seeing games end in actual less than 30 minutes that's way too fast

yeah leviathan is totally not working. I checked a couple of my illuvials during the game and both stats and levels were not taking into account. Even more worrying the base stats of the illuvials did not match the ones on the illuvidex

Don't you think the game leaves you with too little time to think? I haven't played Gaunlet much, but the game is more complex than TFT: there are more unit combinations, you have to buy weapons and armor, select items, positioning your units is more important... I understand that if I play more I won't need as much time, but the game gives you so little time that it's overwhelming.
The mode is starting to get good, but I don't think it's ready for real competitive play. It still needs polishing and improving things.

Yes, when allies drop below 40%, they gain Damage Amp and Reduction (including mystic units). But it procs only for the unit that drops below 40%, not the whole team

So what it does: When an Ally drops below 40% Health, they gain Damage Amp and Reduction.
When you have 4 Mystic Units, you unlock the (4) bonus - When an Ally is vanquished (eliminated), all allies are Healed for 15% of their Max Health

i would also reduce the damage taken by round , doesnt feel good if u cant even get to lategame in the most games or get these huge hp damage swings for small "mistakes" / bad role rng / lategame playstyle for 1st place (when half lobby doesnt care and just role all their gold)
I think the biggest issue is that if it is a close fight and they have only one illuvial left, you still lose a lot. Damage taken should be more dependant on the number of surviving illuvials

i know it's not perfect, but I have made peace with the fact that there is a need for urgency because we need to get all the features out asap, and that's why so many changes were made and why we are feeling overwhelmed and the balance is off still. I do have a lot of trust in the team and specially Nil to patch it all up in the next days / weeks to be the best balance we had so far.
At which point we are "only" looking for getting in: weapon system, augment component system (which the reworked augments have made a big first step), and regions right?

battle fundamentals after the fix feel ok, balance i can't tell, but i went from 2 days ago being most pissed about the actual game to bugs/crashes being the worst stuff again so that's good. Round 23+ is too awkward imo too much base dmg some of it should move from being tied to level and modifier to being tied to units surviving.

Hi,
I’ve been encountering this issue multiple times after the recent major update, and I’m wondering how the final standings are determined in the game now. It seems like there might have been some adjustments, or maybe it’s a bug – I’m not sure.
Here’s a specific example: in my last round of ranked play, I lost the round first. The screen turned black, and I was awarded 5th place. I waited for my opponents to finish their matches, and then I noticed that another player who was originally in 5th place was moved to 4th place, while I was still stuck in 5th. It was clear that the other player had taken more damage, so I should have received 4th place, as it initially appeared in the right-hand table.
However, when the final standings were shown, I still got 5th place.
Do you know if this is related to a recent update or if it’s a bug?
im not sure inferno works, im looking at the dmg bar and my inferno units' dmg graph doesn't move if they're not attacking

I lost first, and in the right-hand table, I was given 5th place. Then another opponent lost, and in the right-hand table, I was moved to 4th place, while they were given 5th. I had around 16 HP before my defeat, while they had significantly less.
However, in the final table, I was still given 5th place and had 16 rating points deducted. This has happened more than once, and it's not the first or second time after the global patch.
I'm over 80% sure this is an important bug. A major tournament is starting very soon, and I think this could cause issues there. @turbid osprey
@turbid osprey I understand that the situation is really complicated. It's quite likely that players will encounter something similar in the upcoming major tournament. We need to find a way to address this issue in advance, as I doubt the developers will have enough time to fix it before the tournament starts.
Maybe a screen recording could help in some way? The information displayed on the right (in live mode) is accurate. The information in the final table is mostly correct, but sometimes incorrect.
The first time I encountered this, I thought I might have imagined it. The second time, I thought it was a bug. By the third time, I decided to report it to the developers and to you.
@turbid osprey I think working with video is not the best option, as very few people would use it. Plus, it puts additional load on the computer, which is definitely a bad thing during a tournament.
Maybe taking a screenshot of the last few seconds of the game would be much easier. After you lose, the game doesn't end immediately. The screen goes black, and you have to wait until your opponents finish their games. After their games, the leaderboard on the right changes. There are about 1-2 seconds after that, and if you take a screenshot during that time, it could serve as proof of the actual leaderboard.
why does freeze exist instead of just being Stun?
