Technically, yes, but that will require a lot of sources of the same debuff. You eventually reach a point where 25% of 5 means almost nothing.

Hmmm I get what you are saying but like I'd guess theres a 20%+ differential in performance if Lifestorm comes up

And with like 4-5 Augments max before the end of the game, you have very little control. I'd say 50% of the augments are garbage, 40% are usable and 10% are absurd. Which means if u hit 2 absurd augments, 1st or 2nd. Hit all garbage and its bottom 4 places and so on.

Their balance is much better than they have been historically. But the lack of options and limited quantity received, makes any minor imbalances feel much bigger

Lets say the winstreaking is most important in the first 10 rounds. U basically have 2 augment rounds to get a broken augment to establish that, which allows you to snowball.

When the 1st and 2nd place is decided in the first 10 rounds its bad.

Lets take 1 augment as an example, 2% attack speed on attack. A regular augment thats better than a major composite synergy thats hard to acquire. At what point does that diminish the Illuvials themselves?

Finally have some down time. Been playing some gauntlet late. It's fun.
Few feedbacks:
RNG is def needed for casual gaming. Helps normalize the chance of inferior players winning any one particular game, hence more enjoyable gaming experience.
Just brainstorming here. No clues if it's feasible or maybe it's being developed already. It will be cool if there is a lock and capture system within each match. You can lock up ur core team illuvials. The ones that are unlocked, the opposing teams can spend token to capture yours. (Crazy idea probably)
Preview. You can preview next slate of illuvial u will get. It shouldn't be exact illuvial that you will see next slate, maybe just what affinity and/or tier illuvial u will get.
I just think it will be even more addicting if players have more agency into gameplay.

It is also very important to have a specific atippo. Also, the Templar Fighter composition is very strong,

I made a new feedback ideal that I think would be great for the market in buying and selling.

Yesterday it took me from 3pm - 8pm to spend 50$.
1,5 hour searching for illivials but since I was opening multiple tabs to look at mons multipliers, so I wouldn’t lose my place in the web browser, my account got locked for a good bit. I was right clocking then say open in new tab 1-20+ tabs at a time.

Also, I have to use 2-3 sites just to find the Mon with the stats I want.

I want to spend money and have to many hurdles to do so. That’s said, illuvidex needs a partnership with trinix’s website or just bought out.

I just want to clarify that it is not a "Team" que, you just que together with other players, but you are not in team with them you are still competing against them.

What you are describing has nothing to do with the 3-player lobby restriction. It can be done by getting in the match solo as easily, because there aren't a lot of players at the moment. It really doesn't matter if the players start in a lobby 3 together, or if they que separately as 3 solos - they still end up in the same match and they can still do the thing you are talking about.

Furthermore, this is exactly the same format that TFT and Underlords are using. It can't really be abused as you get matched with 5 random people too. Yes, you may boost your account a few rounds, but while doing so you sacrifice the other accounts - they will lose health fast so the other players also stay longer in the match, essentially lowering your overall chance of placing high, as they also get stronger.

The real issue is with the fact that our playerbase is not too high at the moment, so people can just easily get in the same match every time, regardless if there is a max 3 players per lobby restriction or not. Once we get more players rolling, this shouldn't be possible anymore (just like it never happens in TFT or Underlords).

But again, if people are doing what you are describing (2 people intentionally losing rounds against 1 person), then those 2 people will be at a massive disadvantage as they sacrifice Health, Streak Income and even bench management. Taking this in consideration, those 2 people should really not get higher than 6th place, they are not only helping the big account, they are helping everyone.

The ranked system should take into account the average lobby rating too and modify the rating received accordingly (not by much, but it still should not be flat). I'll investigate tomorrow and see if everything is alright with it

Rewards are not (or at least should not be) flat - there should be a flat value that is then affected by the average lobby rating (for example: average lobby rating > your rating = you get more points).

As for lobby, it also has a rating limit yeah. It starts out small (so if you are 1200 rating you'll only get matched with people that have 1150-1250), but as time passes the gap widens so you don't wait forever (it widens slowly in ranked modes).

The probleml is lack of players of course and maybe the season 3 will drive even more players in but when you can have the top 3 players in alobby and mutiple people in the lobby at 900 or so why does it matter. Maybe put in a limit between elos in a single party so they can' have trash elo accounts boosting a single elo account. If there is going to be an elo reset before season 3 starts that would fix a lot of issue we have had so far. The average lobby strength compared to YOUR elo should be the calculation so i'f i'm in a lobby thats much higher than my elo i should gain move points for a postive finish , but and loose less for a negative one. But yeah seems flat points are being used now not elo

Yeah it definitely needs to grant elo based on lobby strength. I am not sure if 'average lobby elo' is robust enough, but its definitely the bare minimum required.

Eg if the lobby strength is really low, but you came in a position above someone much higher than you, that should still be accounted for.

I think they had a similar feature in dota underlords, not sure if they removed it. where you could place more illuvials in the board to open up your bench more while rerolling. then when the round starts those units would get sold or put back on bench.

it gave some more skill expression but at a trade-off the game being more confusing and clunky

In my 15 years of high-level competitive experience, I have never once seen an exploitable system go unexploited. You're right that it can be done even in solo queue, but we shouldn't incentivize it by making it easier. Instead, we should be more severe and speak against exploiting while discussing ways to prevent it.

What you are suggesting is that people won't abuse the system because you don't believe they can. That's essentially inviting people to exploit the system because, instead of providing clear guidelines, you leave it in a gray area.

The biggest problem, in my opinion, is that players can create fake accounts they don’t care about. By using these accounts, they can pretty much always assure they can place above them. When trying to achieve a high rank in a ladder based on average lobby rating, the greatest challenge isn't necessarily achieving high placements, but rather the few games where you get a low placement, as these set you back significantly. If you have two players consistently placing below you, it becomes much easier to rank up, and that's why it's easily exploitable.

From my perspective, it's so obvious that the potential negatives outweigh the potential positives of this system. In my opinion, this is so clear it shouldn't even be up for discussion. Just remove the ability to queue together in ranked mode and start thinking about how to prevent it from happening in solo queue instead. The first thing that we wanted to do to combat this is to add a rating limit of 50 for players to play together. This way, you won't be able just create fake accounts and use them anymore past 1250 rating (unless you spend time ranking them up just to have them de-ranked later when you use them to get 7th and 8th place, which is really not worth the effort, especially when you get to higher ratings of 1500+).

What is its function, and why do you personally think it's needed? It seems like you think this is an important feature, so can you explain why you believe that and what type of players would benefit from it?

It would still make it easier to abuse unfair tactics if you could actually find two more people to play with a rating limit of 50. However, no matter what limit you set, this will always be a problem. If three people are queuing as friends, they could help each other during some rounds when they face each other, making their boards stronger or weaker to lower the HP losses, which would be a huge advantage. Once again, it’s important to measure the positives versus the negatives. What does the player base want? Do they want more fair ranked games or the ability to queue up with friends in ranked mode?

It's good to know that you are monitoring the situation. Hopefully, you can find a fair and effective solution to the problem 🙏

I mean, honestly, those sound like EVERYTHING, but they're pretty fair gripes tbh. Using the UE5 default camera controls is a pain for most people who aren't UE5 devs, so I feel that. Having a speed up for single-player modes would be cool. Having more intuitive interface with more access to detailed information about certain stats (wtf is grit? what does lethargic do???) would be nice. Performance improvements are always going to be nice if you can get them, but current performance is way better than it used to be, so this is the one note on which I'll sort of depart.

And yet with all that said, the concept, sound design, character designs, etc...10/10 no notes, lol. I think it's just framing it in an "I hate" statement is a bit jarring.

After investigations, we have discovered that indeed the average lobby rating adjustment was not taken into consideration for the final rating calculation, meaning that everyone was receiving only the flat base points regardless of the difference in rating between players.

This has now been fixed - when calculating the final rating, an adjustment also takes place based on your rating vs the average rating of the other players in the match.

If you received 20 points for 1st place, that means that your rating was decently higher than the average rating of the other players in the match, hence making you receive less points than the base.

If you have 1000 rating and you play in a match full of people with 2000 rating, you will probably get +50/60

But on the lower end, there is a limit (1st place +13 / 2nd place +7 / 3rd place +4 / 4th place +1 / 5th 6th 7th 8th same as 1-4 but reversed)

So if you have 2000 rating and you play in a match full of people with 1000 rating, you will get +13.

You have ruined the game for everyone now, because many tournament qualifiers are top 16, it is impossible to push rank 16 now, because people have already earned 15-25 pts per game. Yeah you first find people around your rating only. If you don't find people around your rating, the rating gap widens. If you still don't find people, the gap widens even further and so on until you eventually find players.

I'll give some rough examples so you understand better:
2500 rating player vs players of 1000 rating:
1st place = +13 (minimum possible for 1st place)
8th place = around -50 (no maximum for losing)

1000 rating vs players of 2500 rating:
1st place = around +50 (no maximum for winning)
8th place = -13 (minimum possible for 8th place)

Because this is another RNG element, auto-battlers by default need RNG elements to work well to force you to adapt to what the game gives you.

Although I agree and we are aware that PVE Rounds are a bit too RNG-y at the moment, we'll probably do some adjustments later down the road. Also keep in mind that we are just getting started with Gauntlet, we have a lot of things in the works that will make everything feel better, including PVE Rounds.

Just like Augments - yes you do get them at the same rounds, but you get different augments of different powers - another RNG element.

Yes it is rng, but it could vary per game and give the same amount to every player. In tft, not everyone gets the same gold, but they also do not get the same amount of components. Here everyone gets a same power level augments selection. Sure it is not the same augments, but you get one.

For now their goal is to give you a moment of breathing and an economy boost, so you are not too far from the truth
They are not meant to be hard, but we have plans to make them more exciting in the future

So if anyone was in your 8/8 queue that had pressed BACK without pressing CANCEL first then that queue is wrecked. It broke. It won’t ever work. You would need to CANCEL and start a new queue.

When people leave without cancelling the game is acting as if the player is still there in the 8/8 even though they are not actually there and the match will never start, it will just hang.

From reading and 1 game it looks terrible so far 😄

All units are the same cause its mostly only based on tiers

Which automatically make empaths super op because as they are supports they used to not deal much dmg and not be tanky but now they deal dmg and have hp based on tier only

• couple units got broken like shrimp line, adorius, titanor, umbre

which are all high tier so they wouldve been automatically the bests but now they got mega buffed with their omega on top of it

I think the basic synergies are overly weak on patch A, but overly hard to achieve on Patch B. I agree somewhere in the middle is my personal preference.

Yeah balancing mathematically in a game where creatures have a unique attribute in Omegas is a strategy I didn't expect to work, but I would be happy to be surprised by it for sure.

I also like patch A, I just don't like that the synergies are not that impactful.

I would ask that everyone actually give patch b a proper play through. (At least 20 games) We can make assumptions on how this will change the game but we need to play it to see how the meta actually changes and how the player behavior in game adapts.

I would even suggest we hold tournaments next week on patch B to ensure people are playing it

I wrote there that it’s more of a future-oriented idea, along with other points that show it wouldn’t complicate the game too much since these classes and elements would be based on the current ones. I recommend reading the whole thing; it’s an enjoyable to read i think

Yes, but i have to say that i'm also not an native english speaker so thats too much for me😁 and even if i would understand the whole thing, i am still learning to play arena, which is my first auto battler experience ever. so i can not give any oppinion on that! For me everything that makes it less complicated is good😁

You're right; it is a bit of a challenge. I could have added something to make it easier and balance out the change better. But usually, further updates and adding new things just make it harder for new players. The way I’d add these new elements and classes would be one of the simpler methods since it’s based on bonuses for the ones we already have, so there wouldn’t be that much more to learn.

Don't love the idea of using competitive tournaments to encourage play but then saying you need to have access to an exclusive product
