It depends on what people like the most about TFT. For professional players, who value skill expression and hate RNG, Illuvium will probably look like much better thant TFT. For TFT players who like to play from time to time and like the variety given by RNG, then maybe they'll be less tempted by Illuvium

I feel kind of bummed after listening to Frobei / Andrew interview. E sports so far away and might not even happen with auto battler. It would be so epic though, and a big part of what drawed me to Illuvium in the first place (the 1 billion set aside for e sports, when prize was 1.000)

Another thing to add, Illuvium will have the same feeling as Pokemon in a sense that you get into an adventure to capture your own illuvial and fight them against someone else. We don't have that feeling in TFT and I believe this will please many players

Lots of random factors, and that’s of course fine. The RNG I was talking about is the. If you get the 30% lucky crit, you will win the match, 40% of the time it’s neutral and the last 30% the Illuvials commits suicide and you lose. That’s the kind I personally don’t like. PvP is by definition random, and that’s a great thing!

I learned from @proven ember that's the difference between input randomness and output randomness. Output randomness is when you decide to make an action and then there's randomness (crit, dodge, etc) and that's what we won't have in Illuvium. Input randomness is when you have randomness and then you can make an action (eg: bidding on the random legendary augments that were generated).

I believe most players are ok or live randomness if it doesn't remove the feeling of control. That's why the Augments in TFT are so popular, these are input randomness but it gives the sensation to the players they have the control of the game.

Hi guys 🙂 I finally got my beta invite and played a few games. I read that adorius is super powerful. However he always heals my full life ranger or stage 1 illuvials and not my 10%hp tanks. Am I doing something wrong?

It most likely depends on positioning. Make sure your tanks are the ones taking damage, and if adorius is casting too fast position it so it isn’t taking damage so it will cast later.

Titanor rarely gets a heal because like in your example a 30% titanor has more health then most of your units. It will heal the 2 lowest health literaly not % wise.

That’s usually a graphics card issue. Although sometimes that happens to me when my laptop isn’t plugged in. Try reducing graphic settings to lowest and make sure theres no ray tracing on or things like that

You'll get better. Focus less on synergies and more on matchups and positioning. Make sure most of your units are going to attack 1 important unit together, to kill it quickly. Make sure the enemy's dangerous units will be spread out and attack tanks.

I have been learning that some illubials really grind my gears! I focus too hard getting rid of them, I don't focus enough on the rest of the board... day by day! Lots of streamets/community content helps!
Gotta learn more about the illuvials attacks and bonuses... brute force won't work anymore... strategy needed!

yes. you're probably looking at illuvials with composite classes. only 'pure' psions get the bonus you're referring to

composites get their own unique bonus that's separate from the primaries

There's certainly numerous ways to clear all 30 levels.

Synergies and hyper abilities play a role...
countering your opponent....
and positioning, positioning, positioning.

Having an Illuvial (or multiple illuvials) just 1 hex space to the left/right/etc. of where you placed it before could result in an entirely different outcome

You'll definitely need to know about and manage the Illuvials themselves... both yours as well as the opponent's Illuvials. Just knowing the classes/affinities and positioning them on the board is not always going to cut it.

You'll want to learn what each of the Illuvials is actually doing. Attack patterns, what their omegas do, what their hypers do.... and do what you can to mitigate those while also optimizing your own omegas and hypers

Check out the community sites Infoluvial.io or Illuvialmaster.com for some excellent resources 🙂

And as Fraggy mentioned, #🎨〕community-content has videos published by some of the content creators as well, if none are currently streaming. Some even record their runs through Wave 30 👀

But keep in mind the deck changes every 24 hours, so the videos published will not show the same waves you're seeing today.

Tip, the primary affinity are not the key to win the waves. it's not like TFT where it is a MUST have. The composite are build to be used even with 1/2/4/5 primary element too.
Forget all you know from TFT about it.

It will with the bonus indicated on the STEAM depending of the number of Fire and water. (1-2-3-4-5-6-++)

So the utility of the character can be > that affinities. (Like you need 1 more tank instead of 1 rogue that will be useless, go for the switch)
