MM approval is not an approval. It's to confirm the TX. SLP wont ask for rewards. ILV pool upgrade does.

No. You don’t need to pay anything when the lock period ends. Unless you want to claim or withdraw. Leave it in and earning if you want.

You got that right? Upgrading is not moving your locked deposits from V1 to V2 so it will still read V1 on your original deposits. It allows v2 to read those deposits and calculate your rewards. When you claim those rewards, they will be deposited into the v2 ILV pool. When your original V1 deposits unlock, you will have to withdraw and deposit into the v2 pools, I suspect., similar to how it is required for any current flexible deposits (unlocked deposits).

Rewards from staking have to be manually claimed and GAS fees for those transactions have to be paid:

• When you stake ILV yield farming rewards start piling up for you
• You claim those rewards whenever you deem the pile to be big enough to justify gas fees
• If you claim sILV you have it unlocked right away (sILV is only usable in game as a substitute currency for ETH outside the marketplace and the Leviathan Arena)
• If you claim ILV then that batch of ILV gets locked for 12 months and automatically staked in the ILV pool with a token weight of 2.0 for compounding effect
• New rewards start piling up....rinse and repeat

NB: ILV paid out as part of Illuvium’s Revenue Distribution have to be claimed as well but are not subject to a locking period.

Fees are variable. Don’t mess with the gas limit. (You could increase it but never decrease it) Set the gwei to what you think you can wait for. I’d recommend waiting to do things until the weekend if you want to save gas

Here is what the new v2 doc says, "The Transfer Wallet feature is restricted to wallets with no v1 staking history for security reasons. I know how to create a new MM wallet, but what is the process of transferring my current v1 over to the new wallet?

Rewards from staking have to be manually claimed and GAS fees for those transactions have to be paid:

• When you stake ILV yield farming rewards start piling up for you
• You claim those rewards whenever you deem the pile to be big enough to justify gas fees
• If you claim sILV you have it unlocked right away (sILV is only usable in game as a substitute currency for ETH outside the marketplace and the Leviathan Arena)
• If you claim ILV then that batch of ILV gets locked for 12 months and automatically staked in the ILV pool with a token weight of 2.0 for compounding effect
• New rewards start piling up....rinse and repeat

NB: ILV paid out as part of Illuvium’s Revenue Distribution have to be claimed as well but are not subject to a locking period.

The real reason to choose one over the other is if you want to use sILV2 to purchase Land, Illuvatars, or use it in game. Just depends on your goals.

WOW. I know exactly what the issue is after going through the medium on staking V2. When you first open the site if you have a flex deposit, it warns you at the top stating that you have the flex deposit and need to navigate to the vesting page and to click the link in the popup. You are instructed to withdraw and restake. BEHIND THAT MESSAGE IS THE UPGRADE OPTION THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE FIRST SO NOW I CANT UPGRADE!!!!

so basically the site gives improper direction and in fact ruins your accumulated rewards and opportunity to upgrade or whatever because I definitely dont have that option now

There's no simple way, no. FWIW I'm expecting the ILV pool to be something like 20% for a 1 year lock, and the SLP pool to be 200-ish% for a 1 year lock. NFA. If you're in doubt, wait until staking goes live again and see for yourself.

Your rewards should have accumulated during (mine have). They only won't have if you removed stuff during the pause period.
