Skins at this point are cosmetic only. No one needs to spend any money or time on them. Purely optional.

Think about it the other way though - no matter the price, there will always be people that want skins. If you decide to make the effort to make a skinned item, someone will likely want it. Look at the prices for things like the M0z4rt skins on OS for example.

If you want to transfer to another address (the address in you hardware wallet) use another L2 immutableX marketplace like "token trove" to transfer your land NFT. But the transfer will happen on L2 immutableX layer. You won't see it in your metamask

Through your private keys associated with your metamask for game access. I believe the email they ask for is to just keep a communication line open for beta testers and marketing purposes. Many will prefer not to associate their real world identity (email, ect) with their crypto assets

so therefore it would be a rational conclusion to assume that requiring email addresses for use of the illuvidex is unrealistic and will cause harm to the ecosystem

It depends on the core code for the IMX API/interface. I have worked on a couple sidechain/layer two infrastructure projects, and both had limited functionality compared to the mainchain. There's usually a trade off for less security + more functionality with L2s as well

Personally, I would hope that the Illuvidex builds in messaging. As others have stated, associating email with wallet addresses is accepting a huge liability. You couldn't trust that to a third party AND you 100% have to prevent stuff like the New Year's Discord hack from happening. Kinda like Keiran said about smart contract audits: Third parties are great to help you test or verify, but ultimately, they don't have the same incentive to secure operations the way an employee and/or ILV holder would.

Sorry, by UI, I meant not the blockchain. I'm not sure what API functionality you're referring to? You'd collect a message and the wallet address that owns the land, then use the epns sdk to generate and send a message.

This would not be ideal since it'd require using a third party (epns); the UX would be poor. However, it seems relatively low effort as It doesn't require building a messaging service into the illuvidex and doesn't require collecting contact info.

It's probably also useful to do a buy vs build analysis. If there's someone already building a messaging service, it's probably worth looking into the feasibility of leveraging that so the team can focus on the game.

nono, the landsale was the first time I ever used IMX(had a green checkmark); so I only had one wallet connected to IMX. But yesterday, I connected my ledger and transfered my plots to the ledger. I connected that ledger wallet to the illuvidex(got a yellow exclamation mark). At this time, I have logged out and signed in several times, with no change.
I guess the bigger question: will this impact my ability to transact on the illuvidex with this wallet moving forward?

iirc, fuels are for the main game, so they have no relation with blueprints; and skinning is done in the main game (maybe this is what you’re asking);

crypton is for travelling (e.g. speedup and teleportation)
hyperion for capturing (shards, the pokeball of illuvium)
solon for weapon/armor upgrading

and each fuel can be converted to another fuel type by building a converter, e.g.

crypton/hyperion => solon
crypton/solon => hyperion
solon/hyperion => crypton

fuel1/fuel2 => fuel3

etc.

There is the exact opposite though. 3 Stage 1s, make a Stage 2, 3 of those make a Stage 3.

You can also get lucky and catch Stage 3s in the game (obviously the main game) as you're playing through. That does however require you to have a team capable of beating them however they spawn. I don't actually know if Illuvials will be more powerful than they are now when the open beta releases. I mean right now it's just survival, and I'm not sure if they'll keep the power level at what it is now. Makes sense that they may tweak power levels in the future between now and Open beta

Not interested in selling it unless a really good offer arrives. I've made some rough numbers and I spent the equivalent to 55k$ on it (because I bought sILV2 since the pool was created in 2021, and it was not always as cheap as during the landsale). So in my case for sure I wouldn't sell it at less than 30eth. That would just cover my investment, then it doesn't consider the MC bonuses etc. Someone made an equivalence table with ILV token in the ethlizards channel and just the T4 was around 178 ILV tokens in revdis equivalence (so 50k$ at current price). Def a megacity with T4 should be sold for more than that. People selling rn are just considering the dutch auction prices but not the potential revdis and its equivalence

It depends on the tier, but generally yes. The higher the tier, the more undervalued I think they are. Because the difference between T1 and T4 in game production is huge, and I saw some T4 sold by 11eth.
The thing is that this is not just a normal NFT with intrinsic value, it will generate revenues for many years. It depends if you want to get your ROI in 1 year or 2 but imo for the long run current prices are low. Anyway, this is all based in speculation cause we don't have a product yet and dunno the number of players and money spent

I have assumed that the tier boost is just that, it applies to only the lands of that tier. The landmark is what boosts across plots in a megacity.

I think it makes sense because otherwise it might negatively affect the economy: the tier boost will multiply all megacity fuel production. So the more abundant mega cities are the more fuel prices will inflate in the market

I believe that's why there are rails. They don't just control the price upward, they control it downward as well. TL;DR: Yeah, there will reach a point at which people are saturated on assets and aren't using as much Fuel. I believe the team is trying to design the game(s) in a way where they are enough Fuel sinks that Fuel oversupply doesn't become a major issue.

There's precedent for oversupply of "X" in almost any game with an economy, typically after the playerbase has (reached max level, or finished crafting, or obtained their top tier gear etc.).

You will be able to send the resourves from one land to the other, but it will cost transmission fees and likely transmission times. (Similar to how in the real world it takes time to transport materials)
But since the game uses Matter teleportation devices, im not sure how that would work 🤣 wouldnt that always be instant?
Maybe powering up the device would take time. Then it does make sense.

they are developing 3 games in the short amount of time compare to other AAA studios. so definitely there may be not much info available for now at least for us. But when the game comes out, I have no doubt that they will deliver. And they do listen to the community.

If it only takes a couple minutes (2 minutes) whale wallets with 200+ T1 lands can be easily managed by a single person in 6-7 hours

If it is more like 20 minutes it'll take more than 66 hours a day (not possible)

The latest I think was 4-8 weeks estimate from the land sale end date. So 3-7 weeks remaining. Meaning probably 6-7 weeks based upon precedence.

Separate question but why does everybody think next land sale is going to be so far away? In conversations a few months back I was led to believe next land sale would be roughly around when the main game launched. I think it was originally said September timeframe... which roughly ties to the main game launch estimate now. Or if we are being real more like Q4 when the full game launches along with the land sale accompanying the main game. I am just asking if there has been clear guidance from anybody that in fact the next land sale is over a year away?
