there was never an update on this, also no new build so i guess it's still the same.
but remember, they said they can load the data if it happens, so i guess it isn't really a problem.
just make sure you logout properly before switching between devices.

If you play a lot you get them pretty fast, especially if you don't have to start from scratch.
Got mine in arround 2 weeks from high tier plots und arround 3-4 weeks on low tier plots.

Doing a mixed plot is easier to build because of the same building affecting the efficiency negatively of each other.
So you probably waste less space for powerstations.
idk how bad it will be with the BP bonding curve, like if you should build full bp if you want to go for bp. (But in the end BP's are anyways a lottery so probably no problem there)

So to answer your fear which is perfectly justified, this is something we have taken into account, and the minting window will be extended to take it into account. The original idea was to have a week long minting window but this will create the problems you talk about. Right now I can't communicate fully on the time, but know that it will be much more than that. Will be back soon with more information

So in the dex I see the land activity says mint by DAO then the address that it was sent to but am confused when you say the alpha mint release.

If i buy land now from another owner when it goes alpha mint would it just show mint then to my address or is it going to send it back to the original owner? Is it going to show all the activity?

Also is there a plan to be able to level up your land tiers? Feel like you max out a T1 you could "reset" the land and make it a T2 and start building from scratch again.

How long is the alpha testing for Illuvium: Zero expected to last?

Illuvium: Zero's alpha testing is divided into two seasons, and Season 0 has already come to a close. At the end of this season, all data, including blueprints, were wiped and reset. The main purpose of Season 0 was for the development team to address bugs and balance issues, while also ensuring a clean slate before transitioning to Season 1.

Currently, we're in the midst of Season 1, which began on May 25th, 2023. Season 1 will continue until we reach the open beta stage. At the end of this season, there will be another data reset. However, here's some exciting news for you: during the last few months of Season 1, players will have the opportunity to mint the blueprints they've researched as NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). These minted NFTs will persist beyond the alpha reset, and you'll be able to use them to craft skins in the Illuvium: Overworld once we reach the Open Beta phase.

As we approach the open beta stage, we'll provide more detailed information about the minting window.

I can't find the OP but someone had some concerns about minting window falling on holidays when people are away. I think regardless of when we open the window there's a risk someone will be away or busy. For example if its during work times maybe people are on a business trip or fly-in fly-out on a mine site. We can't deal with every scenario.

The main way we will address this is by ensuring the minting window is quite large.

The negative of a large minting window is the scenario where someone buys a land plot after someone else has minted the blueprints, builds up the plot and expects to be able to mint. This wont be possible. For Alpha each Land Plot can mint at most one of each blueprint.

The shorter the window the less likely people fall in to this trap.

That said I agree that it is more important we ensure people get plenty of time to mint (I'm thinking 4 weeks, thoughts?).

Also I expect some of you are feeling a bit unloved with all the focus on Arena at the moment but note a couple of things:

1. The Zero team has several new additions on both backend and frontend and is flying along with the Beta work. We haven't forgotten about it, as the allocation of new resource shows... its just hard to make exciting posts about backend and client code that don't really look much different to a user.

2. I've pitched a new (alpha/pre-release) rewards model for Land Holders to the founders, and they like it. Am waiting for Kieran to take it to council and then council to take it to community.

• Remove level up dialogue box pop-up click to proceed.
• Remove the screen centering when you click on something.
• Increase the drag sensitivity on Android, it feels very slow and spongy.
• Remove the click requirement when you finish upgrading, just let the upgrade finish and you get your builder back.
• Implement a "harvest/mine all" for Carbon, Silicon, Hydrogen.

Dunno what tier your playing... but here's my progress from playing my T2 for 9 days now: I've got 4 scanners, 1 in all corners - found 2 illuvials already. Got 2 materials labs built and just gonna spam them till the end. If we have a 4 week window for minting I feel confident to get plenty of blueprints still. Do realise that I work from home and am able to grind zero on the side

If you've already collected all 15 blueprints and have the transducer, there's nothing more you need to do. You can continue updating your plot for fun, but nothing else can be extracted for minting. 15 blueprints per plot is the limit.

The webgl is just another platform, not a replacement for ios. It's like deploying a web app vs a native app... The latter will come but it makes sense to me if they come up with the web version first as the most accessible version first. The more integrated you realize things will become allows you to see the value prop, and this is going to be one that will be rather involved so I'd just be prepared for that if you are going to look at it financially

Normal circumstances 30 minutes may be ok. Still that's too low. But since now it's a race to get the BPs before Xmas you may need to put in much more effort.

You need to look for a balanced land which has all the 3 fuels and 3 elements. If you can't find one in your budget. You can always use converters.

It will be possible to continue working. You would only miss out if you don't find them in time, or you don't mint them in time after finding them.

The game still continues to operate as normal in the minting window, its just adds a new button to allow minting.

In Alpha the data is reset. In the Launch/Open Beta structures are kept, but other stuff like Facts and Resources are lost (so sell your Fuel before you sell your land)

Note: the Fuel sale doesn't have to complete, you just need to put the Fuel up for sale and the Sell Order will persist even if you sell the land plot.

1. Its IMX minting, near instant. There's no long running in-game activity.
2. The interface lets you fire them off one at a time, but technically if the system was going a bit slow you could be doing several at once.
3. I'm actually not sure what costs team has set, but I think zero cost. Definitely no Fuel cost.
4. No. Its (near) instant.

(A small caveat I haven't tested the latest minting UI as I've been focusing on Arena, so I might be a bit off on some of the specifics, but the general idea is that minting is fast)

Finally I note that for Open Beta this might be different. For example you might only be able to do one mint at a time per ZPT and they might take longer if that makes for a better overall game.... but that's not the case for Alpha.

The idea is that if the lands are at peak production at the moment of game launch then there’s definitely been someone that has had an early start advantage and additionally there would be more fuel than will be needed at the start of overworld. And no one wants fuel prices to be tanking because the supply outstrips the demand.

But the 2nd pic, i have the crypton gate at 150% efficiency but I can only generate 4 crypton at max.

+2 is the addl. production/conversion rate after upgrade

reflection of objects isn't actually that difficult in unreal engine. basically you can give a set material to any object and it will have those metallic / reflective properties. 🙂

But as the team stated, a lot of stuff currently being worked on is in the backend. The reason they dont push updates is probably because it would take time and effort that can be used for other purposes. A number of people got the blueprints in the current version so there is no need to update the game. I would expect the team to make a large update after the minting window, when the early-Beta version comes out. It would be a bigger update than if they now pushed 1-3 newly patched versions.

Agreed that Illuvium Zero may take the form of an investor's game, as was always the purpose. 5 minutes per day, grab your fuel and play the "fun" games.

The spam 50% lvl1 converter build, was never intentioned of the devs.
Basically your only task in this game is to figure out a good layout for most efficient usage of space.
So the whole change is more of a fix.

The speed up token talk is probably just to fill some time in the vid 😄
Like he mentioned t1 need more than t3 or T4, so he can instantly build. (Basically keep up the pace with the high tier)
Keep in mind, a t4 cost 40x of a t1 at mint. T1 was never meant to keep up with higher tiers. It just held itself pretty good in the race for bp's due to stuff like converters (too good imo)

Clearing Plants will grant you elements in beta, they don't have a cost to clear.
I think he got a bit confused about the dye's and regions.
Dye's are not linked to regions, you have to stack Morphopods out of the OW, which will have an affinity, in the podarium to get different mutated plants, which then will grant different dye's

So it's basically a
-fix (50% converter cluster)
-false assumption (T1 need more tokens than high tier plots)
-false assumption (Plants harvesting grants you stuff and cost nothing and podarium is a nice buff for t1, another product to sell) (high tiers don't have space for shit like that :D)

Many people do add a bunch of fuel convertors. Adding Efficiency with power stations can possibly be helpful

to get all blueprints you generally do not need any building over level 7. On a T1 I would just get all element sites to 7 and some converters to 7. Storage at 2 million is enough. Also some fuel converters on higher levels to get good passive income.

after that just build 3 or 4 scanners and like 8 to 10 mat labs.

you can obv build more mat labs or scanners... but these numbers should get the 15 blueprints pretty quickly

Hi. Is there something i am missing? I have a tier 1 lvl 577 and i quickly found 1 illuvium. Since then i have researhed + 30 times on scanners with + 80 efficiency, but haven't found my second. Is there something i need to upgrade?

everything will get wiped when alpha season1 finishes and Zero goes into beta.
You can mint the blueprints found on your land, the only thing you can keep.

I bought T2 17 days ago and just got my 15 blueprints. Had to play a lot 1st week, last 10 days were chill. There's still like 5-6 weeks more till the end of minting to get your blueprints. Even T1 should make it with a bit of grinding if you start before christmas.

What's the consensus on credits? Do they get wiped when the land does? I've been saving them but maybe I should be using them to speed up building and upgrades?

We need to go to council with a proposal for the dates. It will be tight but it looks like the tech will be ready to go live next week, but we also need feedback on date and length of window.

Originally we wanted to keep window small to avoid risk of someone buying a land plot during the minting window after someone else already minted the blueprints from that plot. Then building stuff up really quickly and nto being able to mint. You can only mint each blueprint once from each plot during Alpha.

But after chatting here it seems like having a longer window like 4 weeks is better, even if there is some small risk of the above situation occuring. We will make it clear how it works in marketing material, socials, and website/dex, but we can't control what third party sites show.

So at this stage around christmas and 4 week window is what I plan to send to council.

I'm sure there will, but its pretty simple, go to any screen that lists blueprint data, click mint, it will show you blueprint NFTS and their minting status, select unminted blueprint.

The minting status view is mainly so you can track where things are at. We put a lot of work in to catching cheaters, by analysing logs, and so on... but there is a chance our cheat detection is TOO strict.

In this case your mint will fail and you will need to contact support who will review to see if you are legit or not 😉
