Day 1: (pretty much the same as for everyone else)
Get Nexus to lv4, build your fuel mine, and start producing fuel. Then spend the rest of the day collecting resources.
Day 2: Harvest your fuel (x2 with 150% efficiency), Upgrade to Nexus V, then build 17 Fuel Converters (that's all you can fit with the build limit), convert the spare fuel to something else.

Day 3: Pretty much nothing to do except collect resources.
Day 4: Passive fuel income (again x2 with 150% efficiency if you can time it properly) so I had 34 fuel at this point, then focused on raising Nexus to lv7, Resource extractors to lv6, then get Scanners
But you need loads of storage then as well

then back up after I got Nexus leveled up
I see my capicity for storage is about 1 million each I think this will help a lot later when scanning

Nice strategy @timber glacier and thank you for sharing. I fail to understand why do you need this much fuel. You don't need it for scanning and research. It's just to fast upgrade other buildings? At that point you don't need the fuel, right? If we're talking about season 1 only.
Its a great strategy, my nexus is only lvl 5
It's 16 Crypton for getting Nexus VII, 3 Solon for Workshop VI, 7 of each fuel for resource extractors VI, then just enough to build scanners (3 crypton +2 hyperion each, and I built 7 of those) and labs (5 hyperion each)
And yes, it's just to get everything up fast, and it'll only work this season. There's a lot of changes coming to how these buildings work so it won't be possible to do this in beta (at least not exactly like this)

Yes. Just not at the same time on both devices.
Just make sure to log out of the plot before switching devices, or there's a risk that you could lose progress.

Efficiency calculations for passive fuels
In the future the efficiency will directly affect the time between each passive tick, and not the amount. (So 150% for a 48h passive would be 32h)
Also efficiency for conversions and extractions will not round fractions (Instead a 133% on a lv1 extractor would give 1 fuel 67% of the time and 2 fuel 33% of the time)
so just those changes kinda breaks my whole strategy...

More labs will give you more attempts per day. Theoretically, the more you add the sooner you will get all blueprints. I'm at 8 labs in a T3 plot, what probably is overkill since we have plenty of time in the season, but since I have the resources, why not haha
yeah, lab efficiency will be multiplied by the success rate of 5%, so you want to have that at 150% 🙂

I deliberately chose a plot where resources were more concentrated towards the center for that purpose. Basically I can fit 3 100% scanners on the top left corner and 1 more at the bottom right without disrrupting production.

Scanners just play the part of finding you the biodata. For now there are only 5 out there so probably not needed to be super optimal. Material labs will need to run more times to get the 15 BP for sure. So I guess just enough scanners to get you the biodata relativelly quickly
Idk, had 4 Scanners and 6 labs before, and went almost out of work with the labs, because 2nd biodata wouldn't drop but i already had 3 bp's and 3 facts of the first biodata.

This is a good question for the Open Beta. I think it comes down to how valuable will the blueprints be and that will dictate if people go all out on fuel (w/ maybe 1-2 scanners if they fit) or if they will fit as many scanners as possible at the expense of more fuel. Like I'm sure some people have fit every spare inch of space with fuel converters (quantity at the expense of efficiency)

i'm starting to believe that T1's are far superior to T4s for scanning/research. at some point (i'm not there yet), i assume resources from converters are sufficient to keep everything going and you have way more space in T1's. in my T4, i have tons of resources and no open spaces for scanners. my T1's aren't far enough along to really test, but i'm guessing if you have like T7 converters you can sustain scanning and research operations in T1... guess i should actually do some math

You may want to also consider the tiers of the illuviuals you want to find though. Upgrading the singularity scanner costs a lot of fuel, so in a T1 will take a long time to get to lvl 5 scanners/material labs. I don't remember how the scanning costs scale by tier, but the upgrade costs is something like 100 crypton and 50 hyperion for 4 -> 5 upgrad

I'm assuming there will be some sort of bonding curve for blueprints, similar to capturing illuviuals in overworld (as in, the more is found of a kind, harder it gets to find another), so scanning/researching as early as possible would be an advantage

This is just me speculating though. I haven't heard this from the team! And does not apply for alpha. We should all have plenty of time to find the 15 BPs now
I may be biased, as I’m a T1 pleb, but as a gamer I do worry that the game isn’t balanced well around T1.
If the majority of users, which will be T1 find that costs are too much, or prohibitive, they may simply give up, and if too many people just stop, it becomes hard to maintain an ecosystem.
Seeing such huge bonuses for additional tiers is very much unlike games I’m accustomed too.
Of course it’s hard to know how viable any of this will be, until we start seeing actual financial returns out of this all!
It could be that it is balanced well at the T1 base and just gets better as you go higher
Prior to the converter nerfs, it felt pretty good, now I’m not so sure yet, I’ll need more upgrades!
On the flipside, part of a good balanced game needs to make higher tier beneficial though. End game a T1 should get to a pretty close state then a T3 but in a T1 you should take longer to get there, otherwise what's the point of a higher tier
Very good points, again my worry is that these values were made to please an NFT crowd, after all it had to convince people to pay 1+ ETH, which is absurd from a traditional game perspective.
In a normal game you’d expect bonuses like 25% maybe even 50-75%, but multiple ‘X’ bonuses is wild. Hopefully NFT value bonus = game balance.

I'm guessing it'll be several more days before the really hardcore players' T1 s get "set up", but even if it takes another week or so, it only puts T1's a week or two behind T4's, at least in terms of scanning. Certainly vis a vis resource production there's no comparison, but that's why the T4's cost like 40x T4. But, again, I think it'll take a few weeks to see how it all shakes out
Getting my T1's to Nexus7 is the real grind. the building cap and storage requirements are killer. but I'm hoping once i get to Nexus7 the T1's will really be able to take off

True, im a T1 and T2 owner, i know the capabilities of my lands therefore i started working first on my T1s cause it takes more time but I do agree that higher tiers should reflect a benefit and i love how balanced is right now. T1s takes longer but is not impossible and i think they are even better for BP as you wont be crowding the map with convertors and extractors
but once you get to T4 Converters, they're far superior to the nodes themselves. honestly, the way converters work, the types of nodes are ultimately a bit meaningless. I personally think that's a bad design choice b/c it takes away a dimension of land "value" and "strategy" - at this point, the region and location of nodes seems much more important that the types of resource nodes

No, it needs to be that way or you disenfranchise the vast majority of your players. You have to ensure the largest group of players have success or fun, for zero that means T1s. If you gate progress behind multi thousand dollar paywalls, you’re going to fail.
Web3 has to compete with traditional games, even in the play and earn aspect.
I just made 200 bucks today selling dinos in ark survival evolved, a game I’ve owned for many years and have a grand total of 150 bucks paid into it, for DLC. Realistically this will have a better ROI than Illuvium 😂
I think there's got to be some balance between making converters do their job but also give nodes a bigger meaning/value. at the very least, the cost of upgrading nodes and converters seems like it should be the same. but just my thought. I'm no game designer.

People are Way too focused in the first 6 months. After 12 months probably all plots are maxed out, soon there will be Set 2 with new bp's and there is no point anymore in whining about not getting the first bp. Then all t1 are cheering for having a Way better Chance finding bp.
Starting prices difference AT the durch auction was 40x between t1 and t4. So i think 40 fully built t1 will, with the balance atm, be Way more worth than 1 t4 plot

if converters are fine and nodes are weak, isn't that the same as nodes are fine and converters are OP. i mean, what's the difference? It all a question of how long the developers want it to take players to get certain objectives. but nodes/converters ratio is the specific balance

Lol, that’s a punt. Zero doesn’t attract traditional gamers. What does it have here they would want, that’s the issue? How would playing zero interest them when there are many city building games, there isn’t even a battle aspect to it, they would go for clash of clans first
It's not Like that is the finished state... Pvp will be added, it's just not done for Alpha Version.
Atm the focus is to build a sustainable economy across the whole ip. Zero playes an important role in that economy, so give the time to do that properly before implementing pvp aspects.
Try to increase the “offer expire time” to 1+ day… I wasn’t getting any accepted either, until I tried to increase the time, and I just got a couple of offers accepted today…. Not sure what experience others have with this 😊

Like he said: blueprints are cosmetic only, I know that. These 3 blueprints for the same T1 illuvial we are getting are different visuals? Because there is no relation to cosmetic skin and the type of ranger suit you are equipped with

there isnt any reason you need more than 1 workshop or quantum fab. the zero point trans lets you transfer elements/fuel between lands you own but i dont think its working yet

Ok but quick question so we need a scanner, but do we need a lab and data bank for each scanner ? Also do we need the marketplace and holographic statue ?
Yes, you need the lab to research the found biodata from Scanners.
Databank increases efficiency for labs nearby.
Marketplace makes you able to trade Elements (lvl1) and fuel (lvl2).
AT Hologeaphic Statue you can show off an already found illuvial-biodata, and increases the chance to get illuvialbiodata of the same affinity as the shown illuvial. In season 1 all 5 illuvials have another affinity, so it has no usage until open beta launch.

It's probably rounding buddy. The top display shows you have 1.1M but you could still be a short of the full amount.
no I have 1.25 max storage and had maxxed 1.1 before I built the last storage so it was not rounding up

Will mega cities be released with public launch? (i.e. at the beginning of the launch) Because it kind of defeats the purpose if you build 4 Nexus on a 2x2, only to delete them later after expensing time and resources. Especially when it costs fuel aka real money in public launch

There is a bit of a rounding error on the capacity indicator (having 1.05m capacity incorrectly shows as 1.1m)
They are working on. And we don't know the state of development on mega Citys or what is planned for that feature. One step at a time. The next thing is to mint blueprints. Then it will go on and on.

i can't figoure out how to stack more than 4 scanners on my T4. i think imma have to accept much less than 90 efficiency on scanners - any thoughts on an efficiency that's too low to be worth the bother? or just go stack 'em b/c why not?
in super early alpha i saw someone show a plot that had 2 scanners next to each other - i think they were at like 70% each or something
with enough resources efficiency doesn't really matter, then it's just a matter of probability vs resources spent
fair enuff, that's what i figured as well. you just keep stacking 'em as long as you can generate the resources to run 'em
just put a ton of 50% scanners next to each other, i suppose 😛

yes, the info pages on the lab never updates the 5% to reflect the efficiency boost, unfortunately
so really it should be 10% for 2, is that something that is going to change in future builds do we know
Data bank only increase the efficiency (to a max of 150%) which then increase the research chance. So being at max should give you 7,5%. (Then it gets boosted further if you have researched Facts for the illuvial you're researching)

OK, my new whine of the day: converters are OP or extractors need buffing. right now, there's no point to have extractors b/c once you get to L4, converters are infinitely more powerful and versitile than straight extractors. At the very least, extractors need the same upgrade costs as converters.
the add'l upgrade requirement for fuel to take an extractor from l3 to l4 cripples extractors.

Yeah I remeber the devs talking about this a lot. The convertor were made that way becasue t3-t4 would just dominate teh whole thing make t1-2 and maybe t3 obsolete

yeah converters are absolutely worth it >>> extractors. i mean, at this point, i would like to tear out my element nodes and just go with converters (of course, you need at least 1 node to get you going)
maybe one way to make extractor nodes "worth it" is to make conveters 4x4 or something like that. therej's got to be some valuei for having the element nodes.
otherwise, it's almost like you're better off with all silicon nodes and running carbon and hydrogen converters.

So I just got my first bio data….now what do I do?

build a material lab and search for blueprints

My First Blueprint Found!
It's so exciting to find one. Just imagining being able to make these and use them in game to capture Illuvials that we will actually own. It's incredible.
Im at 19 scans. And i only got 1 biodata in my first one. Rest o ly fail.🙁

question for the land owners - if you hold multiple lands in a single wallet can you use the resources generated from them to improve either plot? or are they tied to land plots not wallets

Megacities (2x2or 3x3 connected plots) will be able to. If they are not connected you would have to send them from one plot to the other but I don't think it has been totally nailed down as to what the time or cost will be for that.

Guys Power Plant vs Data Bank right now, is it the same for improving the efficiency on finding BP?
Power Plant gives at most +10% to Labs
Data Bank gives at most +30%
They both affect efficiency and they stack together, so you can use a mix of both

Yes, the AI might accept any trade you put into the marketplace.
But you'll have to collect the trade once it's done, so there's never a risk to overflow storage.

This Marketplace in keeps loading and doesn't give me the resources, and when I click accept, it deducts my resource but never finishes loading, it keeps duplicating. Only for this particular trade and I can't remove it

Did you go to the home Menu before switching device?
I am pretty sure I closed the game from within a plot on the pc, then a couple hours later opened the game on android. I don't think that I closed the Android device in the same way when I stopped playing on it ~11 hrs ago
That could be it. Always click on the home Menu. The game will save it and you can close and open it on another device.

This will vary considerably depending on if you optimize for blueprints or fuel. You don't need to stick with your one fuel type if you build lots and lots of converters
I'm not sure if we really know what the fuel costs will be in overworld yet either. Are the current pb travel costs just placeholders?
Yes there are all placeholder. There is no info about how much fuel a land can produce and what the price for fuel will be. Same for overworld no info about how much travel to stage 1-3 will be.
So the number of fuel they produce while this beta will change?
I think so. Or they change the cost for travel on overworld. We don't know yet.
