Different buildings will have proximity effects on other buildings around them, For example a carbon converter may increase the efficiency of a nearby mine while decreasing the efficiency of a nearby research building. I dont think its been published which buildings affect which and in what way. I do know that the Illuvial scanner will suffer a penalty if its near other buildings.

and there are pathways but im not sure how they work.

I want a few peaces of land not for revenue, obviously, just staking ILV is easier and scalable. But I think this is great alternative to other mobile games town builders. Don’t know how it will feel in IZ, but sometimes you need a bit tedious click motion to reboot yourself after workday or long meeting, and town builders are great in delivering this type of thing

Think it depends, T1 or T2 are worth to buy. You invest few and may get blueprints. With larger amounts invested think ilv is better option. Also NFA

It depends on how profitable the fuel can go long term, if you have T3 or T4. Staking rewards are dropping every day so in the fall you might as well forget about over 100% APY on ILV/ETH
But fuel will be generated as long as you hold a land and use it. Today it’s may be 150% vs 0%, but in one-two year cycle it could be 10% APY vs $100 daily

One more thing could be just whales want to redistribute assets for profits later
fe, land is almost didn’t depreciated when we hit lows on ETH, but steadily going up with it’s price

And investors in few years begin to buy land to rant and again, check in coupons afterwards

Hey y'all, I wrote an obstacle / farming system this week. Don't ask me what the rewards are because I can't give you specific numbers - it's up to the game designers who balance the gameplay and overall economy. The system's in place and working tho 🙂

The mechanism is that there are 'obstacles' (are they really obstacles though? No! They are food for farming!) - there's a combination of small and large obstacles, once cleared they will regenerate - and you can get the clearing reward. it's farming time! 👨‍🌾

Would y’all say Hydrogen is most important when trying to get the scanner up and going ?

Each building requires a set amount of each reasource but some will likely cost considerably more of one type. F.e. energy related buildings cost relatively more hydrogen, whereas other more general facilities would cost a large amount of Carbon to make.

Once you have the scanner up I would expect Silicon to be your nr 1 resource as that is used to do technology, so you might need silicon for research 🤷‍♂️
Other than their purposes all of it is speculation at this point :)

We dont even know whether energy buildings will require that much more hydrogen or that silicon is used for most buildings. What their impact is in regards to their role 🤷‍♂️

I think overcommunication in this type of development model is better than no communication, although it's a tricky thing because you don't want to just continue saying there are delays and it's not ready yet and having to move the goal post over and over again.

If it's Alpha though, I certainly wouldn't expect perfection as long as it's playable. Having something playable to provide feedback and bug reports on seems a better solution that delivering a polished game.
