You can try contacting the police and creating a report and then trying to watch for the scammers to put the eth onto a CEX and then send that CEX the police report (or a court order of some kind) and see what can happen that way. But it sounds like a lot of work for very little hope of success.

I get with tighten security you at risk of losing peoples interest as added security measures can be a pain for the average person. However especially when it comes to crypto, id prefer tighten security and added authentication than my wallet being snatched.
For starters, cross reference all verified accounts, accounts logged in on the site, limit access on inactive accounts and accounts not linked with the website. Right now he basically has a news feed whereby he can sit and wait for new players to join.
My apologies if I stepped out of line, however as a junior cybersecurity analyst , I always offer my two sense when it comes to scammers š

discord is super trashy when it comes to scammers and the ways they can contact you. Which is why the recommendation is to turn off DMs. Because all DMs will be scams. We ban sometimes hundreds of accounts daily. We are attempting to convince people that Support is best handled through the website for these obvious security reasons. Discord is just a public forum.

Once tokens have left your wallet they are gone. The only option is to file a police report. Monitor the wallet that has your funds. Attempt to contact the CEX that receives the funds, sharing with them the police report and any other legal documents you may have at that point. Probably it wonāt work but itās the only real option once the tokens are sent out of the wallet. Any other option someone suggests will be just another scam.

I unfortunately did, I realized a little too late that it was actually sending the ILV rather than just "approving" it for the site. I luckily caught wind before it also sent my ETH too. However, I moved all my ETH out and only have ILV in my wallet. It's scary with how much I get targeted on Illuvium compared to any other DeFi projects and with the leak of the emails, I have to be even more wary for the project.

Oh man, I lost all of my PEPE from my MetaMask. I realized it right after I sign the first transaction on the fraudulent website. Went immediately to Illuvium to ask if it was legit or not but by the time I got verify here on Discord and had chance to ask, my funds were gone.
I have no hope in getting my $$$ back, but I will do as much I can to find out who was it

That was exactly what basically happened with me except with ILV. I realized it likely was a fraud after the first transaction and unfortunately, I agree that we won't ever see our fund back. I'm hoping that just filing those reports, maybe the criminals can be apprehended, since they used a trackable domain and email address. But, I will never get a dollar back.

These have usually been wallet phishing scams. With a popup that looks like itās getting you to connect to the platform. But really itās a draining transaction masquerading as a faulty connection approval.

I could write the email here down if you want it. Well, normally I m very careful but not this time the second I realised I searched for other Illuvium emails and realised it was a scam sadly too late.

Once tokens have left your wallet they are gone. The only option is to file a police report. Monitor the wallet that has your funds. Attempt to contact the CEX that receives the funds, sharing with them the police report and any other legal documents you may have at that point. Probably it wonāt work but itās the only real option once the tokens are sent out of the wallet. Any other option someone suggests will be just another scam.
