I agree on this point here. Especially depending on the messages they send. The message you screenshot above isn’t really incriminating aside from the fact that it’s a DM. But there were other signs which were still suspicious and they were banned.

If you could interact with them just a tad more to get them to drop more info on the scam they’re up to or a link (just don’t click it), that would be preferable!

Thank you for reporting-- if you've signed a transaction through a scam link, you'll want to create a new wallet and transfer your tokens and NFTs from the compromised wallet to the new wallet as soon as possible. The scammer may have access to your old wallet now and you should no longer use it.

Hey Waylan-- sILV was the original token prior to sILV2 needed to get created. It's part of the original v1 contract that in some cases, sILV "dust" is created in the event of claiming pending rewards.

It can be disregarded as the sILV token is now defunct and serves no function or purpose.

Sorry this happened man. You probably understand this already… but one the valuable uses for blockchain technology is trustless interactions based on smart contracts. We don’t have to trust people we don’t know to be able to make a direct transaction with someone across the world. We simply can use the right dapp and trust that system. Even though it is still very difficult for most of us to understand enough about the smart contract data to know at a glance if it is trustworthy, the data can’t lie. People lie. Anyone that isn’t willing to use a trustless system isn’t trustworthy.

Sorry to rant a little. There’s no excuse for the kind of people that abuse trust like this. They hide behind anonymity and use it to take whatever they can. It is why societies first created written contracts thousands of years ago. That truth of past agreements would be knowable after the fact. Smart contracts take it to the next step by encoding the agreement into the blockchain and therefore into the actions of the people involved.

Sure the validators need to find consensus too, which could feasibly lead to blockchain lies becoming blockchain truths. But, I’ve not yet heard of that happening very often. And it’s not placing trust in any single person.

Anyway it’s been awhile since I went off like this.

Hi there, I have just noticed that the first bunch of my unlocks have been drained from my account by someone. I've lost 2xSLP unlocks. The Hacker has managed to use my account to remove liquidity, swap for Eth and transfer Eth to another account

I have more SLP and many future ILV rewards unlocking over the next 12 months. Is there anyone here that I can speak to here than can help me review and protect myself from any further loss?

i.e. can I reset my MM and have future rewards linked to that?

I have never withdrawn from the ILV website to the hacker has some how gained the ability to draw funds out of the website...

If a hacker has your seed phrase, which is likely, they permanently have access to any of your stakes made from that wallet. There is no way to reset the seed phrase for a wallet.

There's no way to change which wallet a stake or the rewards generated from a stake belong to.

Sorry to hear your wallet is compromised, that really sucks.

That's right, it'll be a race to withdraw first. There's no way to change who a stake belongs to after the fact, the only "key" to the stake is the wallet that made the stake.

Yes. Anything that you can do with your wallet they can do with that wallet. They have the secret phrase.

When did you last input your secret phrase somewhere? Did you add any new browser extensions?

But your wallet did not need to have been compromised recently. Could have been much earlier. They will wait for things to unlock

If a scammer ever got access to that in any way, that would do it.

I've heard of all sorts of crazy stuff happening with screenshots - Compromised iCloud accounts, stuff like that. It's generally not a good idea to keep any digital copy of a seed phrase.

There are people and groups who do this, but I can't in good conscience make a recommendation. If it were me, I'd do some research into flash bots and try and set one up myself. Definitely worth doing some research on.

@meager glacier please report the scammer. If there’s someone else that’s more easily scammed than you are then simply by not reporting and getting those scammer removed you are enabling them to attempt to scam others. Just do the right thing man.
