Yea good to know, so hard to predict how many people will P2P and how often. Doing a loop everyday though would cost almost 18k over a year which I imagine most P2P players wouldn't be doing that much. If we compare it to card openings could be maybe a run or two per week and then just doing pvp and survival for daily playing

Yes 100%. It will all balance out. I don't think illuvials will drop in value tho. I think your chance of coming out of a run with an nft will change. Instead of catching 2 per run you catch 1 every 3 runs. Then illuvials fluctuate based on this

That maybe due to lack of talent of developers, cyberpunk was pushed so much by YouTube content creators that it destroyed the game. There impatience of knowing how a great game is made or the business of the studio behind it and what's happened there. Knowing the logistics is paramount to web2 game development. In Web3 nobody knows nothing so you cant create a staple to avid by, the whole p2e gaming is new and popular youtubers haven't a clue yet, therefore the demand only comes from users who understand the tech and crypto heads that want to make money fast.

Its better to wait for a finished product than push for a half assed finish because a few people are impatient.

I was into coding and getting certs 20 year ago, haven't tried it since, or haven't picked it up. Not a complete moron but not up to date and comprehensive with the languages and coding styles. But I watch M.I.T seshes from time to time on YouTube and have a ton of Telsa/Panasonic and Space X engineer friends that geek out on math and blockchain crypto stuff. So me being in the space I guess I'm like a test dummy for them, as my past experience isn't in web development or coding or data science. My only experience is in Finance - Marketing - and Renewable and Sustainable Energy.

Nah the fat cats at CD Projekt RED wanted cyberpunk out before Christmas. 90% of the decisions made around that game were nothing to do with creating a quality game. It was all money and marketing. @sterile cave 1 & 2. About 2 hours per day all solo I do everything from my PC and IPad. 3. It could be I know a lot of people on Fiverr pay and edit content create thumbnails etc. 4. I love making content to educate and inform the community, I have a good job I do not want another one for me YT is strickly fun! 5. I only do YT I did Twitch for a while but they want 2-3 hours per day streaming and I only do once a week. 6. If your looking to make content GET IT OUT THERE, you will get better faster and fine tune the process as you go. 1. Now i do this full time so i have heaps, although i do have 3 channels and ive been spending a lot of time this year just learning crypto. But for 2 years i use to get up at 2.30am and record til 5.30am then go to work and edit videos on the train (had no social life at all for that period lol)

3. Do what u enjoy. If you just like making the content then do minimal editing if you find it boring. U can get away with like 5-10min per vid editing

4. All of the above. The main thing for me is that i feel lile im building something and can always progress. (Kinda like playing games, you always want to have another target.

5. I havent streamed much since covid lockdowns coz had to take more time with the kids but plan to get back to it on twitch next month. And a little bit of twitter. I really need to up my social media game.

6. Just start and accept that your early stuff wont be the best. Just do it and you will improve by doing it, not by thinking about doing it. (Look at my earliest vids on my "Volkin Games" channel, they were dogshit 🤣
   Also, get some thick skin. Ppl on the internet can be fuckin cruel. Take all constructive feedback to improve but dont let the toxic trolls ruin ur day.

   I would say each video takes me about 6-10 hours including research. So if I do two videos a week that would mean up to 20 hours.

All solo and I would recommend starting this way so you learn the ropes of the entire process. Just like a manager at any company they have to know everyone’s job below them. Same concept applies here. You have to know what can and can’t be edited or what the possibilities are with thumbnails titles ect. Get good at doing this yourself then once your making money. Then pay someone to do some of these steps if you like.

3. In your opinion, is it worth it for someone that may only enjoy "part" of the process of creation (i.e. likes making the video or sharing knowledge, but dislikes editing or social media for example)

Absolutely still worth it. Everyday it changes some days I don’t feel like editing and then some days I don’t feel like filming. Just depends on the day. Sometimes I look forward to every step of the process.

4. What are some of the biggest benefits that you enjoy most as a content creator (income, feels nice contributing, community interaction, popularity, relations or partnerships, promotes other things you do, etc.)

Personally I do this for two reasons. 1, I want to be self made. I want to work for myself and my success or failure in life can only be determined by me. 2, I love helping people. I get a great sense of accomplishment when others gain something from my videos. I do like the idea of a nice house and being somewhat famous lol.

The goal long term is to build something bigger then just a YouTube channel.

YouTube and Twitter mostly. Possibly will get into Tik Tok.

6. What would be your advice to people considering or currently starting as a content creator?

Be ready to deal with long nights, early mornings. Technical issues nobody sees. Constantly trying to find creativity for that next video. It can be a lot of pressure in yourself to perform sometimes but it also can be very rewarding. You won’t know until you try so like everyone else says, just start and see if it’s for you or not!

Good questions and you got some great answers already!

1. depends on the amount of videos. Some video can take 10+ hours in gathering the material and creating the video (like my tribute to illuvium with unforgiven). Some other can be done in almost the time of the video itself (so 12 to 30min), if you don't have to edit and did a perfect while showing something ("live stream-like"). I personally try to get as much fast editing as possible, and set up rules to help me edit faster, like clapping on part to remove etc.
   2)yeah all solo. No point in paying somebody if you are super small. I use OBS studio to record, Camtasia to edit and Gimp to create thumbnails.
2. those part are where you will learn skills that you may be able to apply somewhere else. Way back i did my first channel and learn to edit video and then ended up creating courses for my team and then for the whole company. A side task that got me known by everybody.
3. you won’t have income when you start, so don’t start for that. Just being known in the discord when you speak and having people say ‘I saw your video and loved it’ is pretty rewarding.
   5)on youtube mostly, a bit on twitter. Planning to do twitch soon and thinking of tik tok, but will give youtube shorts a chance first.
   6)just start. Most people keep creating excuse to never start (be it learning to program or start a youtube etc). You can start with just 20min a week if you don’t have time and do quick video stream like. Or use that time to publish less with more quality like @warm otter

I probably spend 20-25 hours a week. I currently do it solo but have a lot of support from the shiny shards guild and in this discord in terms of gathering information and making my research 20x faster. If you only enjoy part of the process maybe start with that part. You don't have to do youtube. My favourite part is the thumbnails and overlays etc. You can see I enjoy this from my other content including the synergies graphic. I just love providing value to the community. I guess being a designer I love designing things like merch. Having more eyes on that stuff from my brand I am building. Regardless of if anyone buys it is pretty cool. I'll likely add twitch to my skillset when the game is near launch. I tweet sometimes but mostly do youtube. Don't have time or money to expand. My advice is something daniel lee told me. Your first 200 videos are going to be shit. But that's the easiest and best way to become good at creating content. In other words you have nothing to lose for just getting started

Oh and one last thing to add on to number 5. It’s not about what gear you don’t have. When I started YouTube I got so caught up on “I need this camera and that microphone”. Let me tell you, you will be 100x better of a content creator using what you already have TO ITS FULLEST CAPABILITY. I found out the hard way that I could shoot almost the same quality as my camera on my iPhone, just by learning how to “color-grade” video properly. Learn how to use what you have to it’s fullest capability before considering upgrading.

• adapting your style to your preferences is key, you can always just cut the beginning and end off your video and not spend anytime editing the middle, like on a free flowing podcast (those take very little to edit and u can just similarly record yourself and not edit yourself much)
• personally I enjoy sharing knowledge more than editing, but editing a video well helps people to better receive the knowledge, so I make sure to edit, editing definitely helps make the video more to the point and engaging

4. What are some of the biggest benefits that you enjoy most as a content creator (income, feels nice contributing, community interaction, popularity, relations or partnerships, promotes other things you do, etc.)

• for now just enjoying the process of contributing and being part of the community and most of all having the freedom to do things my way and be my own boss!

   -YouTube and Twitter for now, will be streaming on Twitch when the game comes out and posting on youtube edited versions of my streams (so a 5hr stream would become something like 5-10 separate 10 minute punchy videos, for this i might need an editor as i dont have enough time in my day to make all this content)

   -dont overthink it, just start, if you just want to talk about illuvium and you can access this discord to see this message then at minimum you have a mobile phone, that phone has a camera, pull it out and record yourself and post yourself, pull the trigger and start, dont have any concern about production quality, its not important, making a start is more important than anything else, whatever you make doesnt need to be perfect, you can spend the next month trying to make the perfect setup or you can spend the next month making 10 videos to post on your channel... the videos will defo benefit you more...

As of right now I try to make around 1 to 2 videos a week and each one will take around 3 hours to research, make, and edit, so around 6 hours weekly. This number will increase a ton after the release of the game

**I do almost all of my things solo, I think this is an amazing idea because this helps you learn the basics of making content so when you do hire people in the future you know what they have to go through. The only things I do not do myself are my thumbnails, I have an IRL friend help me with those. **

**I would say in order to be really good at it and dedicate all of your time to it you really have to like everything that you are doing. However say you don't like editing you can always hire somebody to do that for you. **

I feel that the two main things that I enjoy/benefit from when making YouTube videos are 1 - helping people understand something and them thanking me for it. And 2 - I would say are the relationships, partnerships, and friend I can make along the way

I do YouTube, Twitter, and Tik Tok. I also am going to be streaming Illuvium on twitch whenever it is released. (ILZ and ILV)

When I saw @hushed valley video I also immediately thought Luvi is the best nickname for an Illuvial. It works both in singular and plural form, is cute (but not annoyingly so), and prevents us having to stumble of saying ‘Illuvial’ approximately a billion times over the next 30 years.

It also has the advantage of making it a bit easier to distinguish a Luvi from an Illuvitar (that will easily confuse new players).

great content man ! hope the ILV team and Council agree with you because in my opinion, your numbers are pretty close from what i'd expect a gamer to be willing to pay. More and they start screaming red flags. Another price's list we could also use as model could be Hearthstone since it's also digital only content so i'd say: not more expensive than HS. Another thing to consider is that as far as we know: nothing prevents you for doing your trip with like 30 shards on you, which highly decreases the cost per illuvial. If i take your 9$ for a T1 price, if i take 5 shards with me it would only cost 5 per Illuvial, that's also something to keep in mind. when i buy a booster pack for a TCG i get like 10 random cards with 1 rare or +.

Other prices to keep in mind would also be the average price for a competitive deck of let's say 15-20 cards. let's say i need 20 T5 illuvials (and we know decks won't be full T5 but just to make an example of the most possibly expensive deck) i'd pay :

MAX one travel per area: 25x7 -> 175
20 shards of 20: 400
575 is what the most expensive deck would cost if you catch by yourself and don't buy them from the Illuvidex. And that's quite reasonable. that's more than the average meta Deck in Pokémon but WAY lower than most Yu-gi-oh meta decks, and not even mentionning Magic.

Introducing the last illuvial line - The Pano Line

Pano Line illuvial only eat a specific type of plants that generate oil through their digestive system. Over time they will form rock-like body parts which gush out oil and protect them from other predators.

The first stage of the Pano line illuvial is called Pano, 2nd stage is called Panva, and the 3rd stage is called Panvalon, a Megama/Behemoth illuvial.

They attack their enemies and apply oil markers on them, slowing their attack speed.
On their Omega, they roar and stand on their feet, clap their paws 3 times, on the 3rd clap, they ignite the oil, stun enemies with oil marker and burn their enemies in ashes.

When they are on Hyper Mode, they ignite their own body and deal extra damage to enemies with oil markers.
On their Hyper Omega, instead of clapping 3 times, they swing their arms and splash oil to the furthest 2 enemies (in a max range), applying oil marker on them. And then clap their paw and just like normal Omega, ignite the oil, stun enemies and burn them.

I was influenced by Panda and the oil leaking incidents that happened in 2020. I hope you like my design~

The details are indeed generic versus creative. But try to find an idea of an illuvial that is creative, without entering into the visual specificity of the creature. Like a knight with a sword is generic. A fighter that uses three swords, on in the mouth, is creative. But I don't try to give details about how he is dressed, his stance and how he fits in the lore

If the way the character is dressed is one of the main characteristics of the character, it is ok. Like I wouldnt go in details about the size of Harry potter in a 1 minute description. But I would mention it about hagrid

You can say the animal has fur, or scales, but it is not necessary to places pics of fur to show which type of fur

there are 5 basic classes and the composite are all the combinations you can make with 2 basic classes, like water and fíre are base and those 2 combined are the composite affinity steam. or composite affinity frost is made up from water and air.

Look my concept! I think you will like it too 🙂

I introduce a completely new idea with a "marker" that stays on a fixed position on the board. It is perfectly matched with the reference animal!

It adds a layer of strategy to try and predict the localisation that most of the fight will happen. it rewards successfully doing it.

Moreover, The moth using its cactus as armor and weapon is super original. It transform the insect into an initial bulwark, and when it becomes dreadnaught, it fits that it looks both defensive and aggressive with its accessory, the cactus.

Additionnally, it lets them use their wonderful environnement artists' work, i've seen some great plants

As of Now the Best LastIlluvial Proposition is the OilPanda One, compared to that your Idea is not very exciting Cactus and Moths are not the most exciting Creature, but beyond that your Video delivery doesnt stand a chance right now. You either need to Improve on the Visual Concept Art or Delivery or choose another more unique proposition, remember its about the "LAST" Illuvial, something like MewTwo in Pokemon not just some Butterfree from Pokemon you could catch on the side.

This is an idea of an attack animation! Like all stages of this Senita line, the T1 attacks with the pieces of cactus he wears as an armor. This line embraces the symbiosis of the two species it is based on. Of course, if the concept gets accepted, it'll get more animations. I imagine a side tail swing, or a backflip "kick" with the tail

If you do not have a camera pointed at you during video, I recommande you do not try to record the whole thing in one segment. Cut it down in small sections. It helps see what is really really necessary and it is easier to remove a section and make it shorter

The backstory and lore components we have a lot prepared but put it in a single image for those that are interested but didn’t cover much in the actual script. Wish we’d had 2 minutes but it can all be fleshed out for the winning submission. It will also have to be incorporated into the rest of the world so the Illuvium team is going to have to modify any submission to some extent

We use a style that shows the idea of the illuvial, without detail, since the team will modify and 3d it anywaay

That is why I went for 0:59. But I think most videos are like 1:01 - 1:03 long. That looks reasonable to me. 1:10 starts to be a bit long for their requirement

Why do some people design a separate ability for "hyper"? Isnt hyper just the name of the mecanic where one illuvial deals extra damage due to to advantage of one affinity over one other? Does it really proc a different ability?

I though it was a cool idea so went with it. I like my stage 2 ulti repositioning enemies. Can put tanks on the back line and damage dealers in the front. Game changer!

Just gives the character more utility
