The good side about it though is that it will eliminate pseudo players who will just play the rank arena to grind ilv

And that is an unsustainable economy. It’s why all those in game reward tokens in games like that simply trend down. There are better ways to “earn” while playing a game.

In Illuvium there will be several options to P2E:

• sell captured Illuvials
• sell farmed materials
• sell crafted items
• wager on battles in the Leviathan Arena
• earn some of the 1 Million ILV set aside for in-game rewards
• …

BUT, while the game will be free to play, in order to participate in the earning part of the economy, a bit of money needs to be invested. A full cycle of travelling, curing shards, etc. is currently estimated to be around $50 (this can still change).

So, when the fires of 2019 happened, I couldn't stop getting the imagery of burning wildlife (koalas) out of my mind. And it's still in there in 2022. Please consider verrrrrrry carefully about whether a koala on fire is necessary in the world's largest P2P eSports game

While I've said that I'm going to hell for doing it, I actually don't believe this.

1. We are all very supportive of wildlife preservation and will be proposing that proceeds from that character go to wildlife preservation (if not the whole game).
2. Sometimes you need to empower terrible images. I was devastated by the fires. We live here. We inhaled the smoke every day. We know just how impactful they were. But the idea of a creature taking back that devastation, and using it as its source of strength is very empowering. I personally don't believe in shying away from problems. If we added a koala, it would HAVE to be Wildfire, because that's the only way it would be immune.

So is it necessary? Yeah. I think so.

Not yet. We are targeting 1080p 30fps on a 1050ti. But that doesn’t mean we will hit it, or do better.

Eventually we build it all for mobile so 100% any pc will be able to play, but not on release.

All internal testing suggests we will hit our target. But I’m not going to promise anything. And if you buy a new pc because I said a target and then later we release official details and your pc can’t run it, that’s on you.

In one of the interview with Grant, he talked about it. From my understanding, once you shoot the singularity, it will reveal what main Illuvium you will encounter. Then there will be a portal generated randomly on the map, and the Illuvium will try to get in the portal to escape. Your job is to tag the illuvial with you rifle, and then run into the portal before it closes. I’m not sure you have to get in the portal before the illuvial do, or you have a few seconds after the illuvial got into the portal.

To see the Illuvial you need to scan the singularity.

Scanning uses energy. You need to decide whether to scan or not. Scan, you can see a few illuvials inside. Not scan, you can meet more random illuvials inside.

Oh Classes, we'll generally:
Tank is stronger than Range at close combat.
Range is stronger than Tank at ranged combat of courses

Base power level leaks probably wont exist until release day and a lot of the Illuvials wont even be known until they're found in game, so we wont get base stats until they're revealed in game.

Meaning, it Would really be our strategy on what to use more of like attacker or create a more balanced team.

So far for Lynx, Yes. But for others, we haven't seen that much. But as per creators, it's not impossible to find a ramphye in a water region. Also, since we can see that illuvials who go from stage 1 to 2 to 3 change their affinity and class, it's not impossible to get the same Illuvial with different affinity and class. Thus, resulting in the change aas they evolve.

Goodness no. Lynx is unique that it will have all basic affinities and all basic classes.

However… there are five different t0 illuvials because each one is a different CLASS. And each of these different illuvials will also come in each of the five different basic affinities.

So DOKA is the t0 fighter class. It comes in water, earth, nature, air, and fire variants.

Glad to hear you say that. Gameplay has always been a question-mark for me with Illuvium, love the concept, great art, but it all stands or falls with good gameplay and that's hard to nail since it's not easily quantifiable. Of course I am just as amped up as everyone to start playing Illuvium, but the fact the call has been made that it's not up to what we all expect it to be and more time is needed is confidence-inspiring. Too many devs just allow themselves to be blinded and fail to see the shortcomings of their own product, as Pixelmon just abundantly clearly showed us. I imagine it can never be an easy decision to admit it still needs more work and polish, but can only commend your for making that decision.

Wait let me clear a few things up. Firstly stage 1 eg rhamphy doesn't mean T1. It can be T4 or even T5. They just signify rarity that is it

Now the current idea. And T0 may behave differently is essentially u can travel to a T1-T5 version on any given land and the chances for illuvials will be in line with that. It will be more expensive to travel to a T5 land

They haven't made a land specifically for T0 so you'd assume they work the same

Eg if rhamphy is T5. If u travel to a T1-T3 fire area. Your chances of finding rhamphy are slim

Travel to a T1-T4 water area. Your rhamphy chances are even slimmer

• how do you know how many loops the scholar did? is there an in-game record?
• so survival mode is ILV farm? do we need fuel/other resources to enter?
• what do you think if the scholar earning is calculated by a percentage of the total ILV farmed (in illuvials, ILV, gathered resources) minus fuel and shard cost?

Yeah sure. We don’t know exactly how it’ll look, but you will find the account with a certain amount and log that. When you log into the scholars account you can see if they have any loops or shards left.
Yes to my understand you can farm ILV in survival mode. It’s unclear how much.
I think some managers will have their scholars focus on farming ILV and giving them a percentage, but it gets much harder to calculate when it comes to the over world where the return is in Illuvials not ILV.

I think I read somewhere that Survival mode might not have any rewards. But I hope I'm wrong. Or, only the top XX in the leaderboard can have rewards.

I would submit that because there should be an in-game marketplace, finding the average value of a specific Illuvial hopefully won’t be too difficult. I would suggest that some sort of 50/50 split of the Illuvials caught (or paying half the going market rate) seems fair. At a minimum I would expect some very accurate sites to appear showing the historical and current rates of an Illuvial because there will be a huge market for that info.

I know what you’re saying, but I’m trying simplify things.
It also gets confusing when it comes to leaving illuvials with the scholar or taking them out. If they catch a Rhamphyre at it’s with 500$ at the time of the catch, but I leave it in their account and the value drops to 100$ what do I pay the scholar.
This can be managed many different ways, but what I’ve outlined in the video is a simple and clear way.
Not all, but many scholars might be looking for a stable income. If they know they will be funded a certain amount of loops per week and that translates to a dollar value most will be happy with it.

Battle effect system decides what effects stacks vs what doesn't; It also determines how to process the different types of stacking scenarios:

1. Unique - ex two separate debuffs from 2 different illuvials both effect a % of health, both are processed and take effect as unique buffs
2. Semi-unique - Same debuff from 2 different sources...
   ...
   ... same debuff from the same source (refreshes duration?)
