i'm messing around with sora 2, I'm finding that its really weak when it comes to combining reference imagery and prompts. I think kling and runway etc are all better.

Hmmm I think I see what you are saying, the fidelity does look odd. I think a part of it is them playing a test build and so its not high res. But then also recording in a lower res, then uploading in a lower res again. Gets downsampled a lot.

Hey @dense solar I haven't watched the entire Town Hall yet but saw the stuff on the synergies and I like the idea with the 3 rings, full customisability in depth and so on. I think its a smart intuitive strategy with great depth, but I pose 2 questions.

1. Could we have multiple characters? Like in most MMO games? Would be cool to create my fighter, then create my empath and so on. Also adds length to replayability and play-time etc. Your wallet/NFTs would obviously be shared across them.

2. I always imagined that the combinations unlock composites. Eg when u have 10 points in fire and 10 points in nature. You are allowed to put 1-3 points in any of the first 3 wildfire traits, and so on. You could do the same where 20 points in earth unlocks granite traits. The depth this would enable is great albeit more restricting than your current plan. In your world you could have fire branch off into wildfire, but then maybe any points in nature enhance the wildfires power, or gives extra bonus points or something idk.

Three years ago, I chose Big Time over Illuvium and that turned out to be a great move. After making Sensei-like returns I switched to Illuvium, which ended up being a poor decision. Lemme try explain.

They chose Psion and fighter as their 2 classes for the Mmo-Lite.

Until they make the other 3 classes they need to test all playstyles.

So Psion has empath and Psion combined into 1. And fighter has the other 3.

When the other 3 are created (after vert slice). Then they split up the abilities etc again

Given fighter is their dps class they made Psion fulfill a more support role.

So that people can choose either major option

I love these gameplay videos. I honestly believe this is game changing, because I myself am finally becoming interested to play. I would like to know if there’s anything the team doesn’t show, or if everything is transparent. For example. On the day of the mmo lite release, will there be armours we can grind for that we didn’t know about. And will land owners finally use their skins (I own like 100 but idk if I can use them yet)

There has been infos linked to armors in past MMO-townhalls, mainly that you will have affinity stats on it, next to other stats.

You can use skins created out of Zero blueprints already in current overworld and Arena.

Well the idea got me thinking about a possible bonding/imprinting mechanic between the Ranger and illuvials in the MMO. Since illuvials are wild creatures on capture. We could have a system where they become more obedient and unlock abilities the more you adventure with them. The rate of this bonding could depend on the difference in level between ranger and illuvial plus it's tier.

If we're looking to establish an emotional connection between player and their illuvials a feature like this could really help imo

The experience looks too sharp and snappy currently. More weight and consequence is needed plus micro staggering from enemies. They need to flinch when struck

Targeting looks extremely soft or nonexistent too. The player in this footage is having to constantly adjust the camera/ranger position to setup attacks and stay engaged. Fist rule of Ranger training, always face the enemy 😁

I did manage to make 2 empath team that are ok. An empath/bulwark team and empath/nature team they both are ok but I've only made top 3 with them. Empaths are almost back. They are a decent counter for the fire meta as long as you can get full empath for the big shields and speed/damage boost. Also it greatly depends on getting empath, bulwark, or nature chips.

It's really about the permutations. Add total freedom and so many risks appear, then you need to go and do all the work to mitigate those risks. Could save yourself hundreds of hours of work by simplifying the gameplay just a fraction and adding earlier restrictions.

You can then spend that time on better stuff, more bosses etc.
