Only those 3 regions will be available when the game will be officially launch, Abysal Bassin, Brightland Steppes and Crimson Waste.

Players will have to deeply understand and use lore as a guide in order to unlock those new region. We will learn a little better but more about the lore when the next trailer of Illuvium be launch. Theirs should be a premiere event on YouTube about it so keep your eyes 👀 open.

Just remember the quality required to get these is very high. Our team needs a lot of skill. It's not just Dmitriy that is brilliant, but a whole host of other people. And those people also work on many other things. So there will be some NFT art for Illuvials that is not the final version when we go live. This will be updated pretty quickly, but just keep in mind there will be some art assets that are still unfinished. Otherwise we wouldn't call it "Open Beta".

But we just need to prioritise gameplay art at the moment. Dmitriy does these in his spare 1 hour of sleep. He spends the other 26 hours a day working.

Small leak: We are reworking weapons across the entire game. Each will feel much more iconic. Effectively the weapons you see now will just be the Tier 0 weapons.

They will be a bit more like Illuvials, in that when the Ranger wears them it will give them powers similar to an Illuvial. They do this already, but think like... a weapon at stage 1 might be water fighter and at stage 2 it is tsunami fighter and at stage 3 it might be tsunami berserker.

Will make them much more iconic.

One of them is called "Hydroclasm Rifle". Feel free to tell me your thoughts.

I believe this is a great move. With the current weapon design I don’t feel much attachment to my weapons, they are all very similar and „technical” if you know what I mean. Like Sword 1, 2, 3. Daggers 1, 2, 3. It lack the rpg element in it imo, no cool names, no story behind a weapon. So I am super happy to hear that you guys are working on a revamp. I would personally also limit the accessibility of weapon crafting and create a progression path to crafting. Right now the game throws A LOT at the player and it can be pretty confused when you access the forge at the beginning. An example is checking out a first vendor in starting location in wow and seeing items for lvl 60. Would be pretty confusing.

Just to be clear there won't be a story behind the weapons as that would not make sense in our game. At least there is no individual story. For example, you can't steal the wizard hat from a lich.

Obviously there are no bosses with loot, only crafting. But I still think that adding a storyline to a weapon, for example crafting an ancient weapon from a blueprint that you first had to acquire, that was designed by Master Blacksmith Illuvith himself, is a good idea. It would, for example, unlock infusing tier 5 stage 3 illuvials into the weapon etc. Better than crafting uncommon daggers, rare daggers, epic daggers.

It just won't make any sense in the game. There is some lore as to why the new weapons (rather than the stock weapons you have seen so far) are more powerful. But there's no wizards hats or ancient blacksmiths.

I wish there were. 🤷 This is me coming from WoW but obviously other design can work too. What I mean is that it’s good to make something desirable for more reasons than the stats. I don’t feel emotional attachment to current weapons and armors and I believe the system should be designed in a way that the attachment exists, if not coming from storyline (Frostmourne) then maybe it can come from elsewhere. Sorry not a game designer so I don’t expect to come up with anything reasonable, only sharing my feelings as a gamer.

It's just like Pokemon. There isn't lore about 'rattata'. At least, it's not ONE thing. It's just a species. Just like An Atlas is a species. It's not a character. YOUR Atlas is your own character.

The weapons are like this. They are cool, but it's not like there is "The Master Sword" because it's bullshit to look on the blockchain and see that 20 people all have the one true sword.

Each weapon has stats, its OWN omega that it grants the wearer. Synergies, etc... It will feel much cooler, but it won't be 'Gandalf's Hat' because, as above, there can be only one, and that's not how our weapons work.

Really like the omega idea, hope it influences the gameplay significantly so that choosing a weapon changes your playstyle. Perhaps what I am missing in the current system is the progression path for crafting. Having some kind of milestones that have to be achieved to unlock a new level of weapons. Make it so that there is more progression to the character in that sense. Not sure how buying top weapons from the marketplace would work with that though.

We are doing our best. Remember that early on we had really sharp deadlines that included much less. As time has gone on we haven't wanted to add more work. Case in point was the weapons. We have 75 but there are really just 5. This was done to save time. We don't just 'add more work'. But now we've seen they aren't good enough for what people expect. The current weapons will stay as the Tier 0. There are 25 lines of them. (with three stages). This is different from now where we use the same stuff for Tier 1-5.

All Tier 1-5 will be replaced.

However this will be released before Ooen Beta. It’s a rush job to fix some mistakes I made. We need to get the data right. We don’t need to get the art perfect. So you’ll be able to forge them and all that good stuff.

And it might say “Cryonic Edge” but instead of a sweet frost sword you might get the standard sword and animations.

The art is temp. The NFTs are permanent.

It is probably irrelevant.There is set amount of ILV to be distributed betwen certain amount of people, changing total amount of maximum points each individual can gather changes nothing
