T0 refers to the lowest tier Illuvial or lowest tier land in IZ. For Illuvium main game refers to lowest rarity Illuvials captured in easiest free to play regions. The shards used to capture them are free and travel to those regions is also free. There are many variations of each t0 Illuvial (i.e. different skins/afinity for each). They may or may not be an NFT - yet to be determined according to Aaron. As per current information they will be sellable on the Illuvidex.

I would find it sad that some of the illuvials never become an NFT. I get that they'll basically hold no value as an NFT since f2p players will dump them on market in great numbers but you could easy send those ones to a friend who just starts playing the game and get them hooked on the autobattler without having to go true the overworld. I think a limit on how many of the T0 you can use in battles could be a good thing so f2p players or bots dont tank the leaderboards (or would they not be a viable option to get far in leaderboards anyway?) Why do you feel they shouldnt be an NFT?

t0 shard are already cured and can't be used on t1+, there are 5 basic t0 illuvial types, 75 total t0 that have 25 combo affinity variations, t0 don't change form when evolving through stages 1-3, Their class is fixed, but affinity can be any one of the five, which is directly reflected in their appearance... Not sure if the devs ever decided on whether t0 will be genesis set or same set will go on forever (probably the latter, i.e. NOT on the bonding curve).

Seems almost like they are original illuvials that have spread out over the world and evolution style changed their affinity to match environment or circumstances

You must not have held sILV2 at the time of the snapshot. This is different from your pending rewards because they aren't in sILV2 OR ILV they are just... rewards. When you choose to claim them as sILV2 they will be that. (Or you can claim ILV and it will be locked for 12 months).

You arent forced to pay for that though. The price dropped because crypto as a whole dropped aswell as ILV. As with any investment, you take risks as to whatever the price goes up to or goes down to. Team wont refund you the money you lost on an investment, only the gas fees which they really didnt have to do.
