Oddly enough I think a big reason they pump and have so many people is the "Scholar" concept - encourages one person to have multiple accounts and have people farm them out, so sort of artificially inflates user #'s. Wouldn't be surprised if they artificially inflated floor on items by buying back as well so make it seem like high demand, just guessing though.
