I agree. But it depends how much you're buying. If you consider the gas, it's high in both dumps and pumps. If you're buying a few coins, then paying more than 100 bucks for gas is not worth it. That's just my opinion of course

It’s more gas heavy to LP, but the rewards will be more. The LP will keep your stack liquid which is nice, but if the price explodes 5-10x, then you will get IL into ETH and lose some of that ILV.
The single stake keeps you from losing any to IL, but it also makes you lock up. And it’s more beneficial to lock up for a long period of time with those weighted rewards

This is what I was referring to. Gas limit was raised so more transactions can be processed. Therefore more transactions fit and less congestion and competition over mining fees.
This equals lower gas prices :)
