In the past, we have had to try to figure out who the next official partnership is going to be with. For the partnerships, promo NFTs were created and some guidelines were in place for members to be eligible for them. A previous example was to be a member of the discord of the partnership community before Kieran announced the NFT giveaway.
So what we've all been trying to do is figure out what the next promo NFT is going to be based on. Think about partnerships that have been announced or the "hints" that the team drops from time to time in chat, and you can guess which one will be announced next and join that community's discord. Just before Kieran announces the giveaway, he will take a snapshot of the member list of that community's discord and if you're on that list, you're eligible to enter the giveaway.

It doesn't generate any cost. It's more that we have to support it and there might be only 5 more people that still need to claim. At that point, giving them 7 days (since the fixes) + the original 4 days is more than enough. I like keeping things very concrete in my head. As long as it is there it is in my headspace, and I don't have so much room.

Buying the ILV token but keep in mind that you don't need it to play the game as it is built on IMX (L2 for eth) and ETH will be the in game currency without gas fees. You can buy promotional NFTs from other people on opensea as mentioned earlier but keep in mind that the creatures (Illuvials) NFTs are not playable in game. They are promotional only. No illuvials or any asset giving an advantage will be sold before game launch because everyone will start from scratch with nothing to keep it a fair race.
