I do remember lots of things being said during IPL.
I don't know how we would stop all cheating though without KYC. Which maybe should happen if people want to do tournament play. Along with shutting down the account. No movement of Illuvials after an account is registered in the tournament.

I am playing for the fun of it, as a way to actually get lots of hours with no bots so I can improve not so I can qualify, but for some people even the $250 prize is a lot of money.

Oh yes, I noticed that too, that I was seeing weird patterns, like, you know, the players—like, the top player—it was kind of like, it didn’t let the best player play the others, you know, two or three times in the same round. I just listened to the dev chat recording and here is my main feedback:

• I love the idea of temparements as long as they don't permanently ruin our illuvial, I'd like to be able to change my temparement even if it's a bit expensive.
• As someone holding a bunch of 100 TPI colour illuvials I wouldn't be against giving 1% stats to holos and 2% stats to dark holos. This would be more of a symbolic bonus than a real noticeable one which would make the 100 TPI dark holos the strongest possible illuvials without really deceiving players who bought 100 TPI colour illuvials thinking that they are getting the strongest genetic.

@brazen bobcat Dark holos and holos should definitely get at LEAST 5-10%. New game, new rules. Dark holos are the rarest and hardest to find and should be reflected as such in the mmo. New AND old players should be through the moon to find a dark holo. Of course this should not apply to the arena which is why TPI 100's are the best in that game (waiting for @vast spear to show my bias and perspective)

I actually disagree with the sentiment that holos and dark holos should receive power bonuses on top of usual stats.

They were always supposed to be cosmetic bonuses, that mirrored the concept of shiny Pokemon. I think if you start adjusting staple concepts like that, things become confusing; and unfortunately to say, we have done a good job at changing things around so often, that it can sometimes become confusing and frustrating for the player base.

Some things, absolutely, adjustments are needed and positive; but there’s times it’s not as required - and imo, holo/dark holo power increase is not a needed change

To be honest, it's a very weird time. If you are a fan of Arena I'd argue that it's likely not a great time to invest. I imagine once the Motorverse Cup is over that Arena gets left in the dust for the foreseeable future since the last Roadmap stated "Development Halted".

Illuvium Zero, definitely not for fun. It's a chore disguised as a game right now with people only playing for the hope of it's utility becoming worth it in the distant future.

However there are two other games in the works. Deathmatch is basically a gambling game targeted at crypto degens, not actual long term Illuvium players/collectors.

Then there is Obelisk Rising the Illuvium MMO light. Probably Illuviums most anticipated game and likely the game that makes or breaks the entire IP. There was a great discussion last week about the state of the MMO and I know personally I'm still very excited for this game.

So it's weird, there is a lot potential in the future. But right this moment. That's your call.

Based on discussion in the Live Dev Chat for the MMO, it was discussed that the Autodrone doesn't feel like it belongs but with the Overworld down, there isn't any other way to get new Illuvials. My guess is that Autodrone is discontinued close to / during the launch of the MMO

I need help understanding my V2 staking rewards.

Wallet: 0x4f5F164E6EcC01fE8FBc6B42FfA78f0f78767b45

I staked 150 ILV in the V2 ILV Pool on Apr 29, 2025 with a 1-year lock. The lock has now expired and the 150 ILV deposit appears withdrawable.

However, the dashboard shows:

• Revenue Distribution: 0 ILV
• Staking Rewards: 0 ILV
• No rewards to claim

I also see two reward items, 7.57 ILV and 0.55 ILV, but both are dated Oct 03, 2024, so they appear to be older rewards, not rewards from the 150 ILV stake made on Apr 29, 2025.

Can you please clarify whether the 150 ILV V2 stake earned any ILV rewards during the one-year lock period? If not, why did no rewards accrue? Were V2 ILV staking rewards paused, exhausted, or migrated to the V3 system during this period?

2. Yes. There was no mention of what the APR would be like for stakers at that time because the distribution of the staking rewards had ended in 2024.

3. No it’s not a bug. There was no rewards during that time. No yield farming tokens to distribute becuase those had been exhausted in 2024. No revenue distributions either. If there had been revenue to distribute you would have received the revenue distribution. That was and remains the purpose of v2 staking.

V3 stakers have also received no ILV rewards.

That means my 1-year V2 lock produced 0 ILV rewards and 0 revenue distribution, and this is considered expected behavior by the Illuvium team.

I still think this should have been displayed much more clearly in the V2 staking UI before allowing users to lock tokens for a full year. “No APR / no active staking rewards / revenue distribution only” should have been impossible to miss.

Please consider this feedback seriously, because long-term holders should not have to discover after a 1-year lock that the position had no active reward stream at all.

​Hardware Validation: Illuvium needs to prove its "AAA" tag by running flawlessly on high-end portable hardware. A "Certified for Illuvium" MSI Claw 8 AI+ would be a powerful marketing tool.
​Existing Precedents: MSI is already bundling major titles (like their Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds bundle in 2025). Adding a Web3 starter pack (e.g., an exclusive Illuvial skin or a small amount of Fuel) to the Claw 8 AI+ Super Pack would be a natural move.
​Samsung Connection: Illuvium has already partnered with Samsung to bring blockchain gaming to TVs. If they are willing to work with hardware giants like Samsung, MSI is a logical next step for the handheld market. Ai script

Not sure what prompted this but my opinion on it:
Now more than ever, Illuvium needs to be ACCESSIBLE. Right now you need a gaming PC to even get 60fps on Arena, let alone Obelisk Rising. With gaming PCs being a luxury nowadays thanks to AI destroying the market, lower end PCs and laptops are all most people can get. We need the game to perform at an acceptable level on those too.

No amount of promotion or collabs can grow Illuvium if the games aren't in a position to grow:
Most people join us for Overworld, but it's gone.
Arena is amazing for existing players but is not a welcoming game for newcomers (no onboarding, goals, progression outside of House League).
Illuvium Zero has Zero purpose right now.
Deathmatch isn't made for the community, it's a gambling center.

Until the games have purpose, have onboarding, goals, progression, all marketing will fail. Tournaments, streamers, brand deals, all of it will end up with the same result. Illuvium will get downloads, but no one will stay and the game won't grow. Newcomer downloads for Overworld, sees it not there, gets sad. Goes to Arena, see's nothing to work for, plays Ranked, gets destroyed every round, -99 , uninstalls.

Based on the Roadmap. It labels Arena as "Development Halted". I imagine this includes Mobile as well. Which honestly, if Arena was launched on mobile as is right now, we'd still have the same problem. Get downloads, but no one new would stay.

Potentially. I know people want this to be good too. There are many gamers like me who are sick with the mediocre bs Pokémon dishes out. The stories are mid and the competitive turn based battle style is outdated.

I know I've been beating this horse for months but it's because I know there are players searching for an alternative. Illuvium would be a fantastic alternative IF there was actually something for new people to progress on.

If Arena had the Daily/Weekly goals, a way to gain Illuvials through Arena gameplay like what we see with Pokemon Champions. It would grow, and then you can press the MMO release as an exciting way to grow Arena too. "Train now, bring them to the MMO later" it'd be like nothing we've ever seen before in Creature Capture because Pokemon refuses to do an MMO.

I know the team is smaller than it used to be. I know that spending recklessly shouldn't be a thing. I just hate that what feels like a massive opportunity is being missed here even though strategically it makes sense for the mid-long term.

If arena was like tft, free and accessible to everyone and free decks I d happily play. But every time I check it it’s like a mess, it’s tournaments, or different modes or not clear if I need illuvials or not.

I dunno the reason I play tft is exactly because I can log when I want how I want. Some days I might play 5 games, some days I might play one or two only.

But because all I gotta do is log and play and not worry about anything else makes it easy for me.

Arena is time consuming so everything around it should be easy. It should be very straight forward in my opinion.

ranked mode is the mode where level and individual stats on illuvials matter.
Casual is where every player has the same illuvials.

if you own some illuvials you can set them ingame in "teamplanner --> Illuvial ownership"
If you don't set them, the game picks your highest level for each illuvial slot

The summery was that the comunity has divided into two side ( those who approve ownership and those who disapprove ownership) those who approve are few . The team will come up with a better solution to this problem . Skill based match making could solve the problem if we have a decent player base. 😀

After 4 years in the Illuvium community, I think it’s finally time for me to say goodbye.

Since i joined, I’ve been extremely active in Discord, deeply invested in the ecosystem, and heavily involved in the games themselves. It's also why i feel a goodbye is appropriate and not just vanish like a ghost 😄

I bought land plots during the big land sale, spent countless hours grinding Illuvium Zero before unfortunately the economy got disconnected from the rest of the universe and completely changed direction and the emergency proposal erased all my market observation efforts.

In Overworld, I really went all in. I grinded hard for a very long time and spent a lot of money building one of the strongest decks around in terms of individual stats and levels. I genuinely loved the progression and the grind. But over time it started to feel like every major investment whether time, effort, or money... it eventually got invalidated or heavily devalued in one way or another.

So I moved on to Arena, hoping Leviathan would finally get its moment to shine, only to watch it happen what honestly felt like a terribly organized tournament. The balance patches started way too late and also were completely out of touch until a couple days before the quaterfinals, bugs like the stat-impact just got lifted now, or are still ingame like some omega abilities, pathing behaviour etc. as well as the structure of the tournament itself... just all of it making it for me personally an unfortunately very bad experience. At the same time, seeing massive XP boosts sold for pennies basically erase all the money spent and time investment of leveling effort was rough. That part hit especially hard. I’ve been rekt too many times at this point, and eventually I just stop feeling excited and rather start feeling exhausted.

Still, despite all of that, I don’t want this message to only be negative.

I met a lot of genuinely good people here, even made some friends. I had a lot of fun moments, great discussions, and memorable experiences over these years. Being able to actively give feedback, discuss features and systems, and in some way feel involved in the development process was actually something very unique. Not many games allow a community to be that close to the evolution of a project, I learned a lot and I’m thankful I got to experience that.

Illuvium has been a big part of my life for years, and even with all the frustration, I don’t regret the journey.

For me personally though, this tournament is the final nail in the coffin. I’ll still play it, of course... one last ride ey... but after that, I’m out.

Maybe you’ll still catch me around here and there whenever there’s something left to extract. 😛
Because i feel the extractors actually had mostly good times here, just me as a heavy investor, builder and believer actually got hit by the negative stuff hard.

Sad read, ser. We’ve shared a lot of spaces together over the years. I’d rather call this a “see you soon” than a goodbye. Trying to balance Illuvium with real life especially when every patch, economy shift, or investment feels heavy can become exhausting.

Funny thing is, this can absolutely be fixed. Illuvium done some obviously big mistakes. But also a lot of good things.

I learned a lot of hard lessons before I joined Illuvium so I didn’t get burned and invested heavily because I knew the risks very well. Not just how much money one can lose but how much time and effort etc.

But two things are obvious: there is no place for gamers to go. Which is why I am back. This space is absolutely dead. Like really dead. Illuvium is one of the last hopes for anyone who still believe in web3 gaming.

And second I think the team really understands how hard this actuality is and how they can’t hype this up forever. Games need a lot of love and care ❤️

So there’s still hope! Because funny enough they are in a good position right now if they play this right. 😅

I agree with you. I have been in many web3 spaces, and I was community mod and top player in another big web3 game. Sadly, they continuously failed to keep their promises, very bad communication, and one core community member left after the other. For me Illuvium is doing very well when I compare it with my past 3 years in web3😂. Illuvium still does have a nice core community, even though it went -95%.

But the space is definitely sad atm. Sadly we have seen this same story play out indeed everywhere. Project after project. The players investing the most get burned the most. That’s a fact and that’s just not only ridiculous is also logically fked 😅 how’s that ever gonna work. And I didn’t just pay for it I saw everyone else pay for it also.

Again, this has nothing to do with illuvium. I did not get rekt by illuvium at all. So I’m not coming from that angle. But I got burned in every other game. And those projects where I spend years of my life should have somehow support me. That never came. If anything this games will do everything to make your life harder not easier.

But I can say one thing. Illuvium has indeed a great community compared to anything else. Facts.

Fixing the game is one thing. Fixing the price is another. That’s why it seems impossible. But it actually isn’t.

And yes I had issues with a couple community members in here but honestly 99 % of the people have been incredibly nice and supportive. And that matters. Because that rarely happens. So that always told me a lot about the community members in here.

I just checked, and can see I also joined the Illuvium discord back in July 2021, so it's been many years in this community, with up's and downs. It has been and still is one of the greatest gaming communities I have seen, and it is people like yourself that have contributed greatly towards that. It is also clear from the many comments already made here, that you made a big impact, and has great respect from everyone... so a big thank you for that!

I completely understand and feel the same burnout from all the "broken promises", and the worst part is "this game could be truly exceptional" and being part of it for so long dose slowly chip away your energy. I personally still have hopes that things will turn around some day... mainly because of the dedication the team has, and this community... so will probably stick around, but spend less time with the game for awhile.

I think a lot of us who’ve followed Illuvium this long are feeling very similar to you right now. Too many missed opportunities, too many pivots, too much time and money spent pulling in different directions instead of building toward one cohesive vision.

I genuinely believe there was a version of Illuvium that could have been a massive web3 success story. The ingredients were all there early on: the art, the community, the ambition, the funding, the attention. But turning that into something truly great required clarity, focus, and the conviction to consistently drive toward a unified experience. It required a level of leadership that unfortunately never materialised.

I'm sad to hear you're leaving buddy and angry in the way you and many like you have been treated over the years. All I can say is thank you for all you have done for me personally and for the whole community over the years.

I don’t think the issue is that the founders lacked ambition or creativity. The issue is that building and scaling a successful long term game ecosystem requires an entirely different set of skills: focus, prioritisation, product cohesion, and the discipline to say no to ideas that dilute the core experience. The want and ideas was there but the execution just wasn't.

Illuvium always felt like a project with massive ambition but without a clear, unified direction tying everything together. Too many parallel bets, too many shifting priorities, and not enough focus on refining one truly great player experience.

Illuvium wasn't doomed from the start. But at some point you have to judge a project by it outcomes, not potential. So what can we point to over the years of development that demonstrate the potential for future success? Unfortunately very little imo

Keep in mind that the most important illuvials in your collection should be:

• Grokkos stage 2 (the T0 tanks)
• Lynx stage 1 x2 (your early game carries)
• Your carry stage 2 and stage 3

With this you're covering the early game and you should have a powerful carry middle/late game

As soon as you have a base set of leveled Illuvials you can also sneak in some specific ones you want to level. As an example you got rogues leveled and want to level a fighter. Just add them instead of one of the leveld rogues and give him a rogue imprint 😉

It all depends on your budget and your playstyle, I think that the most efficient is to focus on 1 build, you learn to play it and get high levels illuvials and then you play other builds if you want

The good thing is that different comps overlap/partly use the same illuvials so once you have 1 build high level it makes playing other comps easier

If you have a big budget you can directly buy a high level collection

Could be worth doing some automated drone runs if you dont have anything yet. Then you focus on buying the stuff from the market you dont get in the random packs

Especially if your not aiming for top tier Illuvials

There are 2 types of runs. The cheap one gets you 8 random lower tier Illuvials. The more expensive one gives you a much higher chance of getting Tier 3+ and higher stage Illuvials. The problem is the TPI (Quality) of the Illuvial is completely random. But its probably a good way to start a collection if your not after the best of the best.

You could always do a few cheap runs see what you get then hit the market place up to buy the matching pairs.

For Example if you got a rota you could find a Revo and Gyro on the market place so you had the full set of evolutions

I think the cheap adr is like $1.00 and gives you 8 Illuvials

Yes. By default it will lvl up the ones with higher TPI (if you put 2 of the same type on board) in case you don´t select them. But you can specify which ones to lvl up.

The intention is to have players in these lobbies all close in collection level so we have fun close matches with no one getting destroyed due to level differences. NEW THIS WEEK: TAKING THE BUMP
Lobbies will only be filled up to 7 players. But whoever wins the previous match can "take the bump" and play in the upcoming harder match even if it moves them up a division. (Ex. Whoever wins the Carablu Cup game can "take the bump" and compete again right away in the Lynx League match. Or whoever win in the Lynx League can then play in the Monarch Masters.)
The player "taking the bump" keeps their prizes from their original division but can earn additional prizes in the harder division if they make the upset and perform well in the harder division.

Now that we have x9 xp boosters, community members have a huge incentive to keep playing leviathan even if they don't have the best collections, I think that having 2 queues makes more sense today

Disconnecting things that are connected is not as easy. You either disconnect it completely or you leave it as it is.

But right now it seems illuvials are still the main thing in here. So one way or the other you have to give them value no?

Arena should always be the side game, need MMO to bang and then we get people who want to learn and battle their illuvials to filter through...then hopefully we have enough players so that noobs can play noobs, and the higher ranked players play each other, like a proper matching system...thats the dream

Initially gauntlet was not planned, they made decisions that made sense at the moment like "what about making a TFT-like game? We already have the assets after all"

Then they saw that people loved it more than ascendant so they decided to develop it further

But our precious illuvials had no use so they implemented leviathan

But they needed to focus on 1 mode and the F2P route seemed to not work so they focus on web3 gamers instead

It made sense every time, there were always good arguments

Like the game is super addictive, theres a reason we have 30 players who play it non stop lol and spend money across all ecosystems even when theres dead lobbies

we're all down 90% (except for the tournament winners) and still play and throw money at this game/ecosystem coz we love it so theres something here for sure...hopefully the mmo can get casuals in and bang, that might be our last chance and probably is

I wouldn't say that the game is addictive but the IP is strong and that's even without knowing the story

i think for players that never played tft before and want to get better, maybe its more addictive for them...theres a few of us grinding trying to get better so thats the addictive part for some of us i think

TFT was introduced in league of legends at a time people were beyond familiar with champions. So the synergy and gameplay made sense from the start and was naturally intuitive to league of legends players.

Here players are thrown in into 3 games that they had zero interaction with. Into tokens and ownership.

Would make sense to start with mmo but if a player committed to an mmo which is time consuming you think they gonna go play arena also? Most likely not.

So you are still catering to two completely different type of players. Which is why they both need a clear path

But also the amazing part of tft is that it isn’t connected to league. So I can actually play tft every day all year without ever needing to play league of legends. That matters.

So you see… games are connected but they are still two completely different games…

If you split them you cater two to different gamers. If you keep them together you cater only to super hardcore players. Both ways are fine. But I would love to figure out which one

Cause the question I ask myself is do I go deep with this or do I go superficially. And that’s a question most gamers will ask themselves when they see something like this

But in reality no one has that answer for me which shows players will take risk again. If they get burned again there might not be a next time. Which is why I think it’s important to have a clear path and stick to it.

But from what I am understanding from you guys arena is halted for now and we waiting for mmo. Take it from there. That’s all I understood so far.

But I can tell you one thing. There’s absolutely nothing meaningful to play in this space. Like literally nothing. So at this point I’m grateful I can log into something. That matters.

Yeah the good thing with arena is that it's a real game, not as good as TFT but it's good enough to be called a game

I usually monitor these numbers on datakingz and rattydata. The relevant number now is that this week, although lower volume in revenue, has better number of orders. Most orders are small and 4 in the last few hours. This could be new players 🙂

In the Illuvium universe, the games can be divided into two main categories:

Solo experiences:
• Beyond: NFT collection game
• Zero: city builder on your land
• Overworld: solo exploration and Illuvial capturing (currently on hold)

Competitive games:
• Arena: auto-battler similar to TFT, 1v8 format
• Deadmatch: arena game where you place your Illuvials on a board, risk-reward system with Illuvial burning

Despite all that, what's really missing is a true multiplayer game that brings the community together. That's exactly what I'm hoping for with the new MMO, Obelisk Rising.

Yeah there’s still some left but I would highly question their direction, and other are completely unappealing to me. The only games I still play is immortal rising 2 and world of Dypians. But I am looking sideways at WOD. I have many questions and no answers. IR2 I’m a council member and a super strong believer so I’d be biased to explain why 😅
