Actually it should not still be a question. The immutable passport account is not the same thing as your illuvium account. Today, players could go into the settings on the Illuvium Zero mobile games and DELETE their Illuvium account.

And yet they would still have an immutable passport that could be used on any number of immutable network platforms.

They just would not be able to log in to any illuvium products using that immutable passport. Because that illuvium account would have been deleted.

An account deletion is irreversible while an account ban technically can be appealed and reversed.

But for either scenario the immutable passport wallet still exists and can be accessed. Just not on Illuvium’s systems.

Would love some feedback on this, so rev divs are awful, we dont know how long it will take for rev dvis to be worth it, thats why no one wants to buy the token, currently its not worth it. So why dont the team make it possible to buy in game stuff ect wiht ILV, and you get a better price for what ever you are buying if you use ilv, like a 20 percent discount, thus taking more of the market and giving it use and making it more scares ? @split lintel has this been considered ?

I think we have discussed such things in the past, I'm a little hazy on the reasons why we haven't ventured down there but its a mix of 2 things.

The first is this is kinda the point of sILV2.
The second is more of a complexity basis, since things are priced in ETH and so on, but some of these dynamics are changing so I think its an interesting idea. That being said revdis kind of already does this by proxy.

Oh and the final reason is it messes up the entire revdis mechanism, unless someone wants to IIP to eliminate revdis, any ILV spent would need to be converted to ETH and back, or distributed to stakers anyways, so it doesn't really add anything, besides the discount you mentioned.

I understand all devs are focused on getting gauntlet feature complete and bug free rn. My question @split lintel (as this has likely been discussed in council) is what's the objective that this decision is hoping to achieve?

Even if we 10 or 100x the playerbase of gauntlet it'll have little impact on revenue. Is this a priority simply because it's the easiest W for Illuvium to achieve rn? If so I'm concerned we're just wasting time. Time that could be spent on building out the revenue engine of illuvium which is Overworld not gauntlet

Great question Ghamster. Now there are my facets to this, some of which I can't really discuss in great deal.

1. Easiest W to achieve is definitely a factor but quite integral for some of the reasons below

2. With Automated Drone runs and leviathan tournaments it should have an impact on revenue.

3. An increase in playerbase does a lot for Illuvium. It enabled marketing efforts, especially with the TFT audience. But it also gives Illuvium an air of authority and legitimacy which are crucial for things like a capital raise, or general marketing flywheels.

4. The team needs time to build out the MMO-Lite. Having a properly functioning product playable will keep players engaged in the ecosystem as this development happens. We have already seen the effects of infrequent updates in the early days of Ascendant, it's well worth avoiding that.

5. The team hasn't just paused all activities on the Overworld, also they are currently searching for a new game director for the product.

6. If not finishing Gauntlet first, we might as well not complete it at all tbh. Since the team has discovered that focusing on 1 product at a time is very important to get shit done. So if we focus on MMO lite first, Gauntlet will just die.

For example, there were players in the top 5 who didn’t receive any second chances despite their efforts. Everyone deserves to be treated equally, and it feels unfair when exceptions are made for some but not others.

When catching Illuvials, the stats of your sword don't matter. The simplest and cheapest one will do.

Im so excited for the new version of gauntlet

Honestly its alot of things... 1. Weak eth... 2. Beta launched and didnt really get the player base that was initially hoped for 3. The game is still needing more work before main stream marketing begins 4. The game doesnt have reliable or interesting revenues yet 5. Opportunity cost, by holding this token many opportunists feel like they are missing moves elsewhere so liquidate some cash for investing in the movers and finally the nerves around runway has some investors a little bit nervous

In my (bias) opinion all are temporary problems and when illuvium has results to show there will be lots of positivity in the market around ILV again and I think we will see some cool moves of some kind 🙂

We can only best guess! But as the markets a forward looking market we only need to have a good marketing campaign and big player growth over 1-2 months and that will improve things drastically! Im still a huge beleiver in mobile phone market... im a huge mobile gamer (and big spender on it) and shite apps still making millions a year with basic marketing and a simple hook. This franchise can be so much more than that! And a break even of around $20-25m a year... roughl 20% of token supply held by the vault means $100m a year rev needed to break even... sounds alot but theres potential here for sure 🙂

I read the whitepaper and understood how the voting to be nominated to the IMC works, and that users can vote for sub-committees as well and give said sub-committees their proxy vote. However, I did not find information regarding: (1) whether a minimum holding of $ILV is required in order to propose or vote? (2) is voting only possible by committee and sub-committee members? (3) what would need to happen for big DAO-governance-level changes? (I mean something like changing constitutional laws in a regular government)

Right thats a multi pronged question.

1. There is no minimum holding of ILV required. Illuvium uses a quadratic voting system. If you have 1 ILV staked you have 1 voting power for IMC and ICC nominations. If you stake 100 tokens you have 10 voting power. Sqr(100) = 10.

2. Community voting is possible for either the Illuvium Main council, as well as the Illuvium Community council. These are paid positions where the council approves/rejects proposals that help guide the project of illuvium. The Main council has an advisory organ in the form of committees who can be approached for advice on implementation of particularly difficult questions. The main council reaches out to these committee members and they are instated without community voting.

3. For a "big DAO-governance level change" you would likely see a GCCP or GIP that is voted on by all council members. It requires 7/10 votes to pass council voting. These abbreviations are short for Governance configuration change proposal (gccp) and Governance improvement proposal (gip)

These specifics could be found on snapshot in the illuvium governance based section. Here you can scroll back to see all accepted and rejected proposals since early 2021. These specifics are likely not integrated into the whitepaper.

When you check snapshot you would likely have to go through the documentations for Governance V1, Governance V2 and Governance V3.

I'm asking for a academic project that is meant to teach me more about how blockchain and DAOs work, so one of their questions was how "constitutional" level changes are made - in order to understand how strong the DAO system is. As someone who doesn't have experience in DAOs, it's hard to think of an example for your case. I can give a government example - if the government would want to decide that a lower majority is needed for a certain decision instead of the original higher majority required, the idea is that the harder the process to lower the majority - the better the constitution. Because if things like what majority is needed can be easily changed, then it rises the question what's the strength of the mechanism to beginwith

We have only been iterating on the government process twice. In governancw 1 we had a single 5 man council, then in governance v2 we added 3 sub councils and a community council.
But the strategy council became some sort of sub-main council and only the community council added value to an extent. So from there we came at the current format: 5 man community council and 5 man main council + a marketing/dtrategy/game committee that can be asked for advice.

There are still a bunch of aspects that are yet to be written out or clarified. It feels like writing an entire governance system similar to the actual government. So it will require some bright minds to take that on in future epochs for sure!

Oh yeah you are right. But would that then go through a separate voting mechanism? And what if it ends up having very negative impacts. Currently our proposals have been created with a look on the shorter timeframes. IIP 44 references a number of documents that arent in there for example. It will require a lot of foresight to successfully apply a durable proposal.

If we have it hold true for 2 epochs, it could be a rather painful obstruction, delaying any work by an easy 9 months. Especially if one council "forgets" to take it on and then the following council is the first to vote "remove".

I do agree that durable IIPs would be interesting to strengthen the proposal process, but it would require some big brains to make these decisions.

Now am i saying that im not well informed? I mean, i try to be informed but im no expert on democratic/political systems and their steps taken to reduce creating accidental blockades
