The Illuvial worth 1000 is the T5 Dark Holo with decent stats. The profit is obtained by playing Overworld and selling your Illuvials with good stats. You can start in Stage 0 without investing, but once you master the mechanics, you can invest at least $20 to build a team and buy fuel to progress to Stage 3.

1. Overworld, on the other hand, can easily be polished and delivered. (This is really the most difficult part of Illuvium. If you want, leave it like this: the hardest part is Overworld, then Arena, and then Zero. For some reason, which I don't understand, Zero is at the bottom of the priority list.)

2. I should either invest and be able to make a profit, which kills a good majority of players... and then you have a rich players' game that won’t get big... or you let it be free, and whatever people can make, let the creator decide the value of the things they sell. (At this point, you should understand that "pay-to-win" is how Web3 games work, but let me explain how free-to-play Web3 games function. They have a battle pass system, which is basically the same as pay-to-win. They’re seriously discussing whether to implement it, but unfortunately, they’re closer to not implementing it than they are to doing so, based on what I’ve read. However, changes in the economy are definitely coming.)

3. Another thing I see as a big problem is them combining games... that’s just a headache in itself... not sure why they did that. (This was done for the interoperability of the games. In the long run, this is what will take Illuvium to the moon once everything is polished and the marketing is strong. Creating independent games destroys the philosophy of Illuvium from its roots.)

4. If I want to play Overworld, I need to pay, and it’s not like I am getting progress in Overworld... I mean, the point of Overworld can’t just be catching Illuvials... it’s like, let’s all make a collection of pets and fight. That’s not good gameplay... unless you want a Pokémon or Axie game. We already know Fortnite is the number one game for a reason. (Unfortunately, Illuvium does take a lot from Axie, and that’s not going to change since it’s the guide to follow. Fortnite is Web2, so using its gameplay style would be a mistake. Yes, Overworld is trying to be a "lite" MMO with AI agents for monsters and NPCs, aiming to surpass Fortnite at this point, and with plans for a future multiplayer shooter.)

My opinion: It’s important to keep pressuring the team, and I love your comment, so I support you. There’s never enough pressure, you know... if you don’t shout at the doctor, they’ll think you’re fine. But first, they’ll finish Arena, and then Overworld—not the other way around. Don’t doubt that.

You can take it in 28374 directions while the arena … is pretty much a straight forward game . Hard to fix that and make it fun unless you redo the whole concept 😁 now that’s extremely painful to do. Overworld can go anywhere from this point. Yes requires more work but that shouldn’t be hard to do at all. And the earnings I don’t really care much about it, they can do it however they want tbh pay to win free to play But it just needs to be clean and clear for every player how the economy works so they can adjust to it. And the last point … I didn’t meant to make it like fortnite 😁🤣 or I’d go play fortnite, I mean study what makes it so fun … and apply it to web3 in a mmo lite form. I m sure you get my point. All good! They are currently in the middle of sorting out Gauntlet to be in a super stable place before they push it towards mainstream marketing + add rewards etc (cos no one wants to crash if they are going towards incentives)
That should hopefully be within the next few months.

As for other launches/updates, after gauntlet is done the next focus will be on revamping Overworld towards an MMO lite style game. Think quests, raid bosses, power progression systems etc. There’s a great blog that Kieran wrote up; let me find it for you

The main issue to find any players is the lack of incentive. Why even play gauntlet if you literally dont get ANY shit out of it. But, they are literally working on all those things - would a roadmap make those productions faster? No.
The clarity would be nice, but at least they are building. This project would be a failure if the team gave up and moved on. The fact is, they are STILL building this out, and there is literally Gauntlet being fleshed out as a solid game right infront of your eyes.

And again, they know the games aren't fun or in a place the community wanted them (except gauntlet, that is actually pretty solid now except the crashing side of things) but the team have admitted they want these games to keep elevating and be more than they are.
Your complaints are not things the team aren't aware of lol

Again, let them work and choose to believe in the things they have outlined (hopefully we do get a roadmap soon so it's a bit clearer visually)

It's just not always helpful to moan moan moan in the channel; it must be extremely demoralising for the team who are constantly putting in crazy hour days.

But, you can attend AMA's (a lot of the guys run these sorta thigns live on youtube now) , watch the Going Hyper podcast with Rich and Jackson and pose questions and feedback there (or just show support) , attend the Town Halls and directly have Kieran answer stuff

ILZ is not finished either btw, there is many updates coming for that. A list of exciting features that could possibly be implemented (to give you an idea of waht can be done with ILZ past just fuel generation) was posted on Kierans Twitter many months ago.

Again, this isn't to say all those things will happen; but there is a lot they can do with it. Don't get fooled in thinking the current state of games is simply the end for them

We can go in circles, but the point still stands that the team are fully aware. If your house is on fire, you dont need the shopkeeper to let you know; I am sure they are aware there are costs to having things take longer.
There is also costs to rushing thigns out; we've learnt that lesson already

I have never played Leviathan. Is it identical to Gauntlet Ranked except with my own Illuvials? Does the game choose which ones are used or do I make a team? Example - Steve is at 60 but his stats aren't as good as another Sear I own, do I get to choose which one plays or is it random or?

We must understand that one of the reasons they want to close Overworld is so that, even if Arena creates hype, it doesn't get diluted by the boring OW. Honestly, I haven't been disappointed by the council and its decisions, and the quick fixes; it really feels like we have a team that cares about us a lot, they are doing the best they can. Improving all the games will take time.

Let’s also remember that the main game is Arena, not OW.

The idea is you can get it back in revenue distribution and then either stake that to compound the amount of revenue you receive or sell it for ETH (or a different token). It's like being a shareholder.

I saw you were new and wasn't sure if you understood how ILV worked. 🙂
I personally don't see any reason for it to be a game token when ETH can be used. A game token is only necessary imo if the only other option is a credit card because so many cards can't be used for crypto.
ILV will go up if there is enough revenue from the game to make staking it worth it or if people think there will be so they can profit off a pump.
That said, I would actually like it if we when we got rewards it would say, "You have 10 ILV in rewards, would you like that as ILV or as a fuel crate (note there will be a fee of X amount of your rewards if you want a crate)". At which point if someone wanted it as fuel then in the back end the ILV was sent out, ETH bought and then fuel purchased. Encouraging people to keep their rewards for in game use is a good thing.
