Interesting, my chrome browser was starting to freeze and lock up with about 7 tabs open. Gmail, coingecko, a couple other sites and illuvidex ( x 2 ).

I had task manger opened trying to figure out what was using so much cpu.... shut down the 2 illuvidex tabs and usage plummeted to about 15% consistently from spiking to 100 and freezing.

You mean catching them in the OverWorld? Yeah critters in stage 3 are much faster so are harder to keep up with, and more stability so they require more shots to disrupt.

I like to hit F to send in my drone just as I start to approach the Illuvial, that takes a second or two to go into action. During that I am firing my main gun until its just about to overheat, then hit G to engage my big gun and usually finish them off with that. There is often just a little bit of chase left after that.

It also helps to "guide" them to a more flat or open area by jumping in front of them and making them turn. It's a lot easier than on hills or around trees.

As you inspect weapons, they have an "Overworld ability". The fighter sword is the one I like, it turns you gun into a multi shot firing at once, heat seeking, big gun, for about 5 seconds.

Read them and decide which skill you want, and equip that weapon on your ranger itself.
