Well, I am kinda stuck, not sure if buying more land to increase my fuel production is really a smart idea. So far I cannot use the fuel to play overworld (as I thought I would be able too). So kind of a shocker they would nerf production to increase the fuel price when land holders cannot even spend the fuel to play but will be able to in the future. Seems backwards. The fuel should be unlocked for traveling before making a descion on nerfing fuel production for land owners. Most land owners or a good portion of them anyway, I would imagine are like me and want to spend the fuel to travel in overworld. Has the team made any mention of increasing production again after unlocking this function?

Yes, that is true. And of course That’s great that the team is aware of it and working on actions. My concern is that by releasing such an incomplete game on the live main net as an open beta expect the game to be much closer to the final version than it is and That includes Jauwn and his very large sphere of influence, regardless of his biases. I am concerned that by releasing public beta on mainnet too early and without the core gameplay we know they are working on (my opinion, but I know it’s one shared by many including Sam as he’s said on your podcast many times, and I think yourself as well) might be doing major damage to the illuvium brand, both internally and externally, regardless of their marketing plans. I truly hope the team is feeling inspired and motivated to prove that not to be true, they will have their opportunity - these next 1-3 months are what it all comes down to IMO, I don’t think they have much longer than that before too much momentum is lost. But also I’m one random guy, I could be completely wrong 😅

I agree, the financial side worried me to begin with. 12 months will fly by before we know it. But then I think back to how fast the team has pivoted; the things they have achieved in a matter of months when the community has requested something that wasn't even in the original plans.
I remember that, although the monthly cost to stay functioning is high, the team we have working on this project can definitely deliver. We just need to trust them!

There's been so many exciting things brought up in the past 6 months, that I honestly think will continue to bring this studio into even higher levels of achievement. Raids, multiplayer, overworld combat, new games, ILZ updates and implementations that make it even more engaging, and who knows what else. As well as that, the community (all be it pretty gloom at times) have had some fantastic feedback to give to the team, and I bet they are using that to sculpt the next step forward in illuviums future!

I have loved my time here over these past 3 years, and if it's taught me anything, it's that this studio can and will deliver, against all odds. And I'm glad to be apart of it all with you - through the thick and the thin, we are Illuvium.

Absolutely! There's so much talent here. And the pivoting has been super fast and hit the spot. The frustrating thing is things that are out of our control. Getting fiat in for a start. And also infrastructure issues. These can and will be resolved. My fear is the amount of time that these "out of our control" issues might take to resolve. We are depending on external sources with totally different priorities in some areas of our game dev. I love how well the game has been put together from scratch, and it's a brilliant base to work from. But I will be watching the financials from the sidelines to make my investment decisions going forward. I love this community and still want to contribute. Especially since there's a high chance I'll be buying back in when the time is right.

The best scenario is definitely to have the best possible first impression. Unfortunately Illuvium announced they would release in March 2022. This had downstream effects where every single possible launch was delayed over and over. In the end if you delay 1 too many times you could effectively scorch your existing playerbase so much that no amount of first impressions matter.

Fully agree Crystal, there’s obviously some frustrating things out of our control, especially when it comes to onboarding tools and ‘too early’ kinda feelings for web2.
That being said, I have full faith in the studio, full faith in the Warwick brothers determination and motivation, and I think the community (for the most part) will continue to support; which will motivate the team to keep pushing forward too.

First - the open world means you can cooperate with other players, unfortunately that's game not the case here.

The second - entry into Overlord (apart from level 0) requires investment.

Third - there are only 3 cards, so after a few entries you'll already know everything there is to know about the game and you'll get bored quickly.
