the thing is if this game is meant to actually jump into mainstream adoption having a huge paywall from the competitive scene is likely to turn away a decent chunk of people like the game is supposed to go head to head in a market that is predominately f2p entirely....it's a hard sell i think there should be different modes and each of the modes should offer different kind of rewards...ie standard ranked offers you the ability to earn loot boxes which may have illuvials that can be used in the higher tier play but only if you make a top spot that way it stays ultra competitive and rare while at the same time being f2p in a market primarly based in that

by market I mean TFT which is 100% it's main competition

the prospect of earning money isn't enough for most gamers...most gamers wont make the jump to earning money to play games if the game itself doesn't have enough of a player base to be a carnivore on

there are 60d until q2. not a mention from the team anything about next arena beta or overworld beta. typically when they say its close it means atleast 30d+. so they are starting to cut it close on wether these betas come out in q1 too. all of this makes me question open beta q2, im thinking best case very end of q2

see my above reply the thing is if you are talking about an ultra rare win rate where say only the top 10 players earn competitive illuvials then you have a whole separate mode where you can actually earn illuvium and gas is used to win higher payouts then you keep the economy there while also giving enough for new players to really experiment and play with...like if everyone was playing with crappy tier stuff they aren't likely to want to play long term cause their experience will forever be crap and there is no incentive to play long term...the thing everyone in this space forgets...games are meant to be fun if there is something to earn after that fact then great but ultimately...we are trying to get into the game market

if this wasn't meant to be a game first then it wouldn't be on epic games lol

It's a group of people who keep logging in to match search at the same time as me just to lower my rank. Presumably state disintegration for political reasons. No matter which online game I play, similar methods apply everywhere.

I think with staking you normally would treat daily payouts as income at the time of issuance to your wallet, but because ILV gains pool until you click "claim", and then vest for 12 months to unlock, and then can still sit there until you actually withdraw to your wallet.... idk when to base the token price on those gains

For the overworld I imagine the team will make it so it's not too restrictive to collect resources and illuvials.
Then other games like shooters , dungeons, cart race, will be a separate game.
My feelings are ow only needs, roaming illuvials, plant attacks will be fun, lore , quests or missions, progression to unlock the next region and leaderboard rewards. That would be enough on top of collection. Especially if you are going to be grinding.
