i find a lot of joy in playing overworld, you feel a progress in upgrading the gear on you ranger and getting better/more powerful illuvials. (and the excitement to find something very rare)
i feel like its abit waste of time to spend to much time on now, since it all will be wipe and nothing is on blockchain yet,
but when that happens i think ill spend a lot of hours in OW, to build a arena team or to optimize my ranger to farm for specific materials

I really love overworld loop gameplay. Even more when they add the missing features such and leveling, skin crafting, resist animations etc. the only reason I stopped playing was because I felt like I was just wasting my time since it will all be deleted. Will definitely kill an outrageous amount of hours playing overworld upon launch.

I bet it’s the same with many people. It’s the reason we have low number playing the beta everyday. No one wants to have their progress wiped.

Yea i think lore will be a big one for many and its a big part of getting into the ecosystem, for me its more about farming and feeling progress, getting the best of the best, equal to getting your BIS gear in wow.
Agree, the price tag is going to be a big factor. i hope its going to be cheap so money wont be whats stopping people from going into OW, but more of how much time people have to farm.
It will also help people with jobs that dont have time to farm for hours every day, people invest time in farming ---> people dont have time to farm buy of the market ---> giving farming people money to buy more runs.

I would say it is in the category pay2fast. You could catch illuvials for free and sell them in the creature collector game. Building up your deck over time by trading up completely free. Depending on market of the Tier zero illuvials or gear the progress could be fast or slow. It also depends on how the devs balance the games. The free illuvials could be very strong? We will see soon.
