2.6mil cards, not 240k illuvitars. There is a huge difference. Illuvitar supply is artificially reduced.

  1. Aaron/kieran mentioned that the alpha disk catering to the rare/PFP people who want to flex - can they elaborate on how this flex might appear in the picture itself? Or will it only be looking into the details on the back so to speak that it says "Alpha"
  2. They also mentioned the idea for Illuvitars is people try to collect them to make sets - do you think prices need to decrease for ordinary disks? As currently the USD value of buying 25 disks would be 600-3000usd if you were after 25 Illuvitars as an example. That seems a bit much for those who do want to try "catch them all" all opening heaps of packs regularly

The problem is that if you look at how long the thread is in there, not everyone can have an IIP, we would have Illuvitar sale some time in 3033 if that were the case.

This is where Gov v2 further improves the process. It is highly unlikely that any IIP from any source is complete and ready to go from its first draft. That was seen in this case as well where significant feedback was given, the experts were pulled in with council to discuss, and offer a revision based on all inputs.
In the future, an IIP like yours may gain sufficient support to go to the community council where it would be further evolved, handed off to a specialty sub-council to further evolve, potentially be combined with other similar proposals, then move to the IMC for approval/rejection. In this case, the change proposed in your IIP compared to the current draft was considered by the experts, and overall feedback was integrated into the revised draft. We are still listening and reviewing new feedback and evaluating compared to our many discussions over the past day.
Illuvium is a representative DAO, and from my experience, is one of the best in class at listening and responding. It isn't a pure democracy, and relies on experts and representatives selected from the community to take ideas from all sources and weave them into a cohesive vision.
In this case, the process has been expedited (and I hope we can do better in the future to not rush the process), but there has been no shortage of input and feedback from the community, and all of it has been considered in depth.

Both of those are solvable, especially the first. If youā€™re talking about why they havenā€™t worked thus far thatā€™s pretty accurate. If they were using those as reasons they wonā€™t work in the future thatā€™s extraordinarily short sighted.
Thereā€™s no fundamental reason why the quality of games have to be crappy, we havenā€™t had enough time yet for good games to be developed.

For 2 I think the IMX ā€œpassportā€ will help a ton. Being able to buy things with a credit card and logging in using email/pass. Thatā€™s short term.

Well a big part of that would have to do with the network the game is being built on. In the case of Illuvium, the games will be on Layer 2 of Ethereum via ImmutableX... and like kfue mentioned, they're building tools to truly ease the "transition" for people just entering the space.

When it comes to Illuvium, the main in-game currency would be ETH and you can already purchase ETH directly in your Metamask wallet using a card, if you'd like. But the Illuvium team is also making it so the player may not even see the crypto side of things... Aaron's comment below:
