How do I get more shards?

To get more shards in Illuvium: Overworld, players can follow these steps:

1. Explore the Crimson Waste region and look for ore deposits. These deposits can be found scattered throughout the region.

2. Use the R key to extract the deposit up to 3 times, this has a chance to yield some uncured shards.

3. Return to Sanctum Mesa, the central hub of the game, where you can access the Forge.

4. At the Forge, use the Cure Shards option to convert your uncured shards into usable cured shards.

5. Go to your locker storage and open it by pressing the E key. Navigate to the Shards tab and click the shards you want to move to your inventory.

6. Once the shards are in your inventory, you can use them in future travel cycles to capture Illuvials and craft upgrades.

Keep in mind that different Illuvials require different tiers of shards to be captured, so you may need to collect and cure multiple types of shards to build your best team. Also, the higher the stage of the Illuvial, the more difficult it will be to capture, so make sure you have the right equipment and upgrades to increase your chances of success.

How do I capture Illuvials?

To capture an Illuvial in Illuvium: Overworld, players can follow these steps:

1. Use your Nethersight by pressing Q, this will allow you to scan the area and locate Illuvial Wakes. These are small, swirling balls of energy that indicate the presence of an Illuvial.

2. Stand at a safe distance from the Illuvial Wake and use your tethered gun to shoot and stabilize the Wake. To make it easier to shoot the Wake, you can jump and then aim to slow down time.

3. If successful, you'll be able to walk up to the stabilized Illuvial Wake and interact with it by pressing E.

4. Press and hold E to scan the encounter or Press and hold R to jump right into the encounter.

5. Battle the Illuvial on the battle board, using the Illuvials from your own deck. If you win the battle, you will have the opportunity to capture them with shards from your inventory.

The Illuvium: Overworld FAQ provides answers to some common questions that new players may have about the game. It can help players understand how to play the game more effectively and avoid common pitfalls.

1) How do I get more shards?

Harvest ore deposits for a chance to get uncured shards. Then, go back to Sanctum Mesa, where you can cure shards at the Forge. Finally, withdraw the shards from your locker to your inventory.

2) How do I get components?

Use deconstruct at the Forge. If you want a weapon component, deconstruct a weapon. If you want an armor component, deconstruct an armor. The lowest level of each type can be constructed without needing a component.

3) My starting shards aren't working on T1+ Illuvials!

You can't use a T0 shard on T1+ Illuvials.

4) I finished a travel cycle and my stuff is gone! Where's all my stuff?

Everything you gather or capture in a travel cycle gets transferred to the locker storage automatically.

5) I cured shards at the Forge, but they aren't in my inventory, where did they go?

Crafted items gets transferred to the locker storage automatically, you need to move them to your inventory to be able to use them in travel cycles.

6) How do I remove an Illuvial from my deck?

Go to your locker storage and open it (press "E"), open inventory (press "I") and click on the Illuvial to transfer it into storage.

7) Illuvial Orbs (Wake) keep disappearing! Why is this?

Wake can disappear for 2 reasons. If you get too close to a Wake, it will despawn. If you miss your shot at a Wake, it will despawn. Be careful with your aim, you can jump and aim to make time move slower.

I guess I really don't have any ideas of my own to put forward as an IIP solution for "betting" legal workarounds etc, I'd just like to hear someone acknowledge out loud publicly that yes, when I purchased my first $25k of ILV, it was my understanding that I was purchasing shares in a casino (to put it very technically incorrectly) and that this would be a source of revenue. I don't know how often or how in depth this change has been addressed, admittedly I don't watch every single spaces or townhall or YouTube video, but I felt like today I might put it out there in the first town hall meeting.

To just say "yeah we can't do it because laws" well obviously I'm aware of that. Hence the question

I'm happy to follow up on it this though, the current council hasn't held a discussion around this topic, and we can at least (hopefully) provide some more clarity.

For example, crypton is used to travel to regions and it will be produced in ILZ but because we are in beta it is simply given to you every day.
