you can buy ILV and stake it in order to earn from the Revenue from the game which is Distributed to stakers (basically ILV is the Investment Vehicle in this ecosystem)

4. Stake the SLP tokens through the Illuvium Staking App and set your lock period.

Well the entire crypto market is down. When ETH goes up / down, ILV will go up / down. There have also been some unlocks so a bit more sell pressure. Since there is no revenue yet, the counter buy pressure designed in the tokenomics isn't there yet. Once the game is launched on chain, I'm quite sure the token price will go up again. Also merch sales can help with this.

Well, sort of but not quite. You don't need any NFT:s to play the games. If you want to make money from playing the games, NFT:s are involved. So it's kind of Free-To-Play and Play-To-Earn combined.

The main character is not an NFT. The illuvials you capture are NFT's... Think of them as like opening a pack of pokemon cards. The main game has a free to play element called tier 0. But from tier 1 up to tier 5... If you choose to go for the higher tier illuvials, you would have to pay to play at the at point.

You would pay for travel(fuel) to a tier 1 (or above) zone. Where you would do a run of that area looking for instances where you can then go and battle the illuvials and hopefully capture them too.

The autobattler looks fantastic and from what we've seen of the overworld that looks astonishing so far. So, ive been reading up on land, illuvitars and illuvials and what they do. From what i can gather land is a piece of the world and owning it gives you some sort if rent if people play there based on what can be found. Illuvials are the creatures used to battle and what its all about. Im still stuck with illuvitars. Are those like avatars? Profile pictures? How would they feature ingame?

Illuvitar are your personal profile picture within Illuvium. They can be used into collections where if you collect all of a certain class/affinity you unlock some cool in game cosmetics. Actual rewards for albums have not been officially announced other than they are building it as we speak.

only land is incorrect, it has few use cases but basically its to produce fuel and hunt for blueprints

you build buildings there to mine resources and scan for blueprints, you could stumble upon some "renting" land, but its just like axie scholars, someone send you land nft so you can manage it

Only time will tell! The Illuvitars are being released in "sets" though. So the first set of Iluvitars will be on sale for a limited amount of time and once that sale ends, the Illuvitars from that set can no longer be minted 👀 So we will see how that affects the value in the years to come 🙂

I was talking about putting forth currency for someone whom otherwise would not be able to go into the overworld to catch illuvials because of there own currency restraints. The DAO distributes 100% of vault revenue to token holders.

Revenue distributions are claimed through the official Staking App as unlocked ILV. The vault converts ETH spent in-game into ILV by the main Sushi pool, which increases the token price.

Everyone will be able to venture into the Overworld and at least capture the Tier 0 set of Illuvials and resources. All affinities and classes can be covered through a team of Tier 0 Illuvials as well. No currency needed to be put forth.

But I assume you're talking about Tier 1+ then? So someone would essentially just be playing on your account, spending your funds to travel to T1+ regions and cure the necessary shards to capture the Illuvials in those regions, and then once they're done playing, you split up the assets which were collected on that run?

What if the run is not fruitful and no assets come out of it? Whether the people playing just don't finish the run because they have other things to attend to or they use up all of your energy on scanning the regions and entering Illuvial encounters they are unable to beat? The money doesn't belong to that person playing it, so why should they care?

Short answer: No, not sure if that's something planned. Might be something that can be brought up in #802110554784661544 or asked about in Kukka's Cave with Rich though!

Thank you for the well thought out answer. I was thinking if it would be possible via a smart-contract. Although, Im not sure of the programming and legal issues that would have to be worked through. I'd assume there would be risk no matter what, that's where whom you sponsor be pivotal and understand the risk involved. I heard that people were able to sponsor others in the Axie game. Wasnt sure if some sort of implementation would be put in ILV. I don't need this type of implementation, I love the game regardless. It would just be something I would add to my plans for release.

Illuvium is currently still pushing for a Q2 2022 launch of Illuvium Overworld and Arena per #announcements. There is currently no public roadmap but the team has been working on one since at least April so it should be done soon.

Hey Razor! So the badge you will likely be able to display on your Illuvitar PFP somehow (possibly part of the border) or on your profile in game... showing you're one of the OGs. Pretty much just something you can show off to flex on everyone else, but we don't know how that will look, exactly.

The emotes would be something you display to your opponents... I'm assuming either during the battle or after the battle. Sort of a way to communicate with them during the fight. But like the badges, we don't know how this would look either.
