You will most likely have the option to turn on or off hair/fur as you can do that in the PB1 already. UE5 is pretty good at rendering hair and fur without too much performance issues, but you will most likely need a pretty decent graphics card to have all the goodies enabled and still have good performance.

As it is in PB1, ray tracing doesn't really make that much of a visual difference atm, but it will probably change.
UE5 has a pretty modular approach to ray tracing and hopefully the user could be permitted to activate and deactivate specific ray tracing functions separately.
For instance, ray traced reflections make a big difference when there are many reflective surfaces but almost no difference at all when most surfaces are rough.
Ray traced global illumination is very nice (but extremely performance intensive) but can be replaced with the built-in Lumen global illumination system that gives a slightly less amazing look but at a fraction of the performance cost, etc etc.
As UE5 has this modularity, it's fairly simple for a developer to let the user activate the functions that give the best ratio of graphics fidelity vs performance.

Yeah I've worked with Unreal Engine to make VR experiences since 2015 so I've learned some stuff along the way 😉
As a developer I think UE5 is a pretty big step forward from UE4 (which was already brilliant) but as you say, it usually takes some time before ppl start using ALL the new tech to the max 🙂

Having a question about the serverless gameplay over the Amazon servers.

As I understand this is easy to scale for a start up but once you scale up it will cost like minimum 5 times more than own servers. Also a big minius point is that you have much more latency. Of course for the Auto Battler we don't care a shit about the latency as the calculations will be made with in seconds and then we basically see a replay of it.

But for the open world this would not be very nice. So will we work with a hybrid system to solve this or will everything run serverless and if yes do we take into consideration to have a high latency?
