Would just like to add that I actually am a collector, and I don't mind paying to collect. The distinction is how this is implemented. Paying just to engage in the core game loop is different. I have bought hundreds of $ of gods unchained packs, please don't assume that because I disagree about travel costs that I'm not a collector or not willing to pay.

So please hear me: it literally costs me money to harvest a plant dude!! I don't understand what is fun about that? I've never even heard of a game doing something like that before honestly. The real issue is this being "web3" and attracting mainly a "web3" community that wants to earn. which forces the team to price in the acquisition of the NFTs to avoid botting.

In WoW (i use this example because everyone knows it) you can play as much as you possibly can without being charged extra money. Price of assets is then determined by rarity and offer vs demand.

The reason we CAN'T get that in illuvium IS because it costs money to do runs, craft etc. which changes the focus from: Asset value = rarity + time
to Asset value = costs - market overload.

So the main issue everyone is experiencing now is that everyone wants to make back the money they've put in a travel, and very few are interested in buying.

Overworld runs are supposed to be like opening a deck of cards. The team is intentionally creating something that isn't quite like the things that came before it. Doing one T1 run for just over a dollar is a lot better and more satisfying than opening a deck of Pokemon / Yugioh cards

Let me ask it this way: When you have built out your entire collection of illuvials, what is the activity you want to actually use them for? It's to grind stage 3 runs right? But every run costs you $10, and you already have your full team, so how long are you going to keep paying every time you want to just play the game with the $100s of dollars worth that you already collected? In gods unchained, once I have my collection, I'm not still required to pay every time I want to go play with it.

This isn't a required feature of a web3 game, you absolutely do not have to put the core game loop behind a paywall.

Having 3 grokkos of different elements, and either a bunch of dokas or volantes is a good team comp to start Stage 1 with

Explore and place some teleporter on the purple portal(Givin energie) and don't harvest its resources right away. During this time, identify and hunt the illuvials that interest you, defeat them, but do not enter into combat, once done, identify them too.
Once done, at 150 pts of energy, you will look for the purple portals which to harvest the zones

Once your finished, you will be able to optimize your energy to farm the potential!

The fact is, it will definitely get boring doing the same grind, irrespective of stage runs, they are essentially the same. It feels like work while paying a high fee for it.

while that might be the point of web3, it is not the point of games. The point of games it for them to be fun, but put money on the line and people will treat it as a job. Price in runs and people will expect returns from it.

All this leads to a scenario where even though one would want to play the game the way it is intended by the devs' vision, they couldn't or not for long because of how much selling pressure there is as opposed to the demand.

If that game alone was good enough to convince players, we would have an entire community willing to play that game without caring much for the Pokémon hunting aspect, buying from the Overworld grinders, making it a nice and sweet ecosystem for everyone.

But rn nobody really plays Ascendant, only about 10k people own an illuvial, which is even less than the amount of people who played Private Beta 1... so yeah tricky spot to be in. Let's see how the team handles the challenge at hand.

Problem is that there is no playerbase in pvp arenas, that would be your drive, the ascendant and later gantlet leviathan, but with no players it won't work

I think for stats there is always a chance you just roll really bad (again not sure in the rules, but there is still some element if chance). But given the holo didnt come across I would suggest raising a support ticket. Ideally link the burn transactions for the inputs and the minted result.

There's nothing of value in T0.
Holos don't add any practical value to the T0 illuvials.
Supreme jets/visor/boots are getting cheaper everyday.
Even an exalted T0 won't fully fund a T1 run by itself.
Then there's a chance you get a bad run.

I had bought some ingots to finish up my supreme equipment. Some showed up. I have enough in my wallet to craft my final piece but it was still saying 2/7 Rhodium ingots while illuvidex shows I have 9.

Some showed up only after transitioning zones. Some have not, even after restarting the game. 😕

Depends on your drone… I use hilde they all do something different, hilde puts a box around them makes them stand in place so you can shoot them… that’s the one I like best but I’m sure others have different drones

So hit F on your key board the drone will do its thing “depending on the drone” and then hit G and you have a few seconds with homing and blast them a few times helps out a lot

Careful with drone mods on the website, I have found some that are listing the wrong sub stats

Here is an example. Sub stat is actually +% duplicate ore, but website shows detection range. You can see both are numbered #506

Also has the wrong picture on the website. I put in a ticket, but it could take a while to fix. From my memory, it wasn't like this a day or two ago, so maybe something broke.

That isn't an issue for you, no need to restart. It's a mechanic to unlock other regions. Each time someone completes a run, there is a chance to unlock 1 letter of the key to the next region. Once enough people get a successful decoding, the next region will unlock. 99% of the time you will see a fail. But sometimes people get a successful decoding.

We are all working together to clear all of those letters (Blurred out ones need cleared.). Then once we get them all the next region unlocks for travel for everyone

For crafting shards, you get the raw shards from mining in your runs. Then you combine them with Hyperion at the forge. Tier zero can be cured at forge without hyperion, but tiers 1-5 take hyperion.

Hyperion is bought at the fuel exchange on the illuvium website.

Your Illuvials lose integrity everytime they fight (twice as much if they die during the fight). If their integrity is low they get a debuff (bottom right corner of your Illvuials) and if they lose even more they can't fight anymore. They replenish integrity by eating a ringnut or by going back to sanctum mesa.

Yes. The stats if you hover or click on them shows the base values of each stats and then the caluclated total which is not shown directly.

So, it will be up to you to read the chart on the right anf make a proper choice. The numbers only show the base stats unless you press on them.

Fusing Illuvials in Overworld shouldve never been a thing.
Destroys the true rarity of Stage 2 and especially Stage 3.

Its like pokemon cards, you cant fuse 9 charmanders to get 1 Charizard card, you have to actually find the Charizard in the pack.
We shouldve never been able to fuse stage 3s imo.

If just top 5% eventually get it, then we'll need thousands of rhaphyres to exist. Either way, they need to exist. All about balance. Having fusing is a funner way to progress for more players I think

There’s already so few different illuvials out there in reality. If we limit most people to basically t3 and below, well that just isn’t fun. It’s already expensive as it is to capture anything so we need some positives for the players, not the traders.
